**Winkers goes to England~It's so hard to say goodbye**

That's great that you were all able to get sleep on the plane and how cool that Evan got to hang out and talk with the pilot for a little while. :thumbsup2
He was so excited!

Wow I didn't think they allowed that anymore, I can remember visiting the pilot several times and it's so cool up there :thumbsup2
I think you can untill they shut the door........I wasn't sure if they allowed it either.

I am glad you posted an update. I hope your dad is feeling better. I know it can be really hard when your parents aren't doing well. Two years ago I had my dad in the hospital in New Orleans (two hours away from where we live) and my mom in the hospital at home. My brother and I had to split up to take care of them. My dad had open heart surgery and my mom had bladder cancer. I will be praying for your family especially your dad.

How cool getting to meet the piolt. I am glad you all got to sleep on the plane. I really can't wait until the next update.
wow. You really had it rough! I hope everything turned out ok!

On your way to your resort? How exciting.:cool1:
:thumbsup2

That's really cool that Evan got to meet the pilot.
:woohoo:

I'm glad to see your flight went well and the kids slept. That is neat he got to meet the pilot.:woohoo: Looking forward to reading more.

:rotfl: at flashdance! Who doesn't love a good eighties reference?

No drooling here! Just a little heartsqueeze! It's all worth it.

Glad you all had a good flight in! I totally understand about your dad; my mom is 78 and my dad will be 80 next month, so there is always something to worry about. That's why disney stuff and TRs are my therapy!

I'll be keeping you and your dad in my prayers!

Jamie

Sounds like your flight went well. How nice that Evan got to meet the pilot. That would have made my day!! Love men in uniform.

Ethan made my heart melt. Make all the craziness of life worth it!!

This is my very first post but I had to laugh when I read about your fabulous idea for the plane trip. 10 years ago my husband and I took our 7 kids, 2 DILs, 1 SIL and 2 grandbabies (14 bodies) :scared1: to Disney World. We thought that the perfect plan would be to take the red-eye flight out of Salt Lake so everyone could sleep on the way there and then we would have all day at the parks! The flight was packed, no one slept and we were walking zombies most of the day but WE WERE THERE!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the great report. I am hooked and I will get better at this posting thing, I promise.

Can you believe one of the girls I work with at church, she's 17, showed up to our mother's day brunch in a full on flashdance outfit?:rotfl: Leggings, torn sweatshirt off the shoulder, high heels and leg warmers! She said she thought it was cool!:rotfl2:

I thought about getting a picture with flat jordy and the pilot, but I'm afraid I'd me thrown off the plane for fear of me being unstable!

Love men in uniform.

Me too!

Welcome!! I'm honored that I was your first post!:cool1:
What part of Utah are you in? I was raised in Weber county.

I can't believe you co-ordinated 14 people on a trip!:worship: 6 is my limit!

I am in West Jordan, not sooo far from Weber County though.

Our trip was really fun but sort like the Griswolds do Disney World, 4 hotel rooms, 2 minivans and lots of quizzical looks:confused: But you know those Utah families, we love our minivans. :grouphug:

Most of the trips we have taken since have been significantly smaller but just as fun.

Our next trip will be a Make a Wish trip for our 7 yr old granddaughter in the fall and we are pretty excited to be able to go along for that one.

Hope your dad gets better.

How fun!

I visit "home" at least twice a year. We'll be down in July for a family reunion.

How fun about Evan getting to meet the pilot! Had you said anything to the flight crew, or did they just approach him?
