This is my first half marathon and first rundisney event and I am so excited! It's hard to believe it's 3 weeks away!

I have been training with a 1:1 interval and feel very comfortable with this. I am afraid I will be stopping to walk too often. I guess it will be okay as long as I run on the side. Does anyone else use this short of an interval?
You will have a great time!

Don't worry about walking a lot, you will not be the only one doing it! Just make sure to glance over your shoulder before you stop to make sure no one is right behind you. When it was crowded in the beginning of Tink, I did do the thing where I put my hand up but after people started spreading out more, I just looked to make sure I wasn't going to collide with someone immediately behind me.
I ran my last long run, a half here in town today! It was VERY hilly and I finished in 2:53:56, so I'm hoping that bodes well for my sub-2:45 goals at W&D! I was kind of hoping to sub-2:45 today, but there was a massive hill (about 0.3 mile long and an 8% grade

) at mile 8 and then some more hills during miles 11 and 12. I had to walk a lot those 3 miles and that dashed all my dreams of sub-2:45 today, plus I had a lot of weird lower leg cramping that I never usually have, due to all the hills I think (my feet were doing these weird cramps that were making my calves cramp up, and also the top/front of my ankles were killing me).
The PoT race predictor was eerily accurate... when I plugged my 10K time, also in this area with some hills, although not as many as today's half, into the PoT site, it gave me a 2:53 predicted finish. Today's race is a new PR for me since Tink was my first half and that was 3:15:41.
