It all depends. For my full family of five? Likely not. For a trip for two, whether it's spouse or kid...maybe? Depends on a lot of different factors, though. Length of stay, other plans, etc etc etc.

Well, I picked "not sure", and here's why...

My initial reaction was, "Hell, no!"

But then I told my husband about it and he said, "Hang on, if they're offering something like that when we travel down to Universal in October, I could see going for it."

See, we enjoyed a very similar experience at Hollywood Studios once, when my husband was down for a conference. They closed the whole park to everyone except conference attendees. There were carts around with free snacks. The place felt almost empty. We rode TSM as much as we liked, without a wait. There were even special fireworks, just for us!

It was a magical evening.

Now, I don't think they will offer this in October, since obviously they'll be having MNSSP instead (which we're planning to do, actually). But, if we were, say, going to Universal this April, and wanted to pop over for an evening at Magic Kingdom, then this wouldn't seem like a bad deal at all. Assuming they do keep park attendance way down, of course!

Yeah we need a Are you kidding me option.

We need something stronger than that.....with lots of f word adjectives......you gotta be freaking kidding me.....are you out of your freaking mind

When I first saw the other thread this morning, I was wondering why people were so riled up. $149 seemed to be a very reasonable price for three extra hours. But silly, silly me. I thought the $149 was for all day MK INCLUDING the three extra hours, not just for the extra time.

As long as EMH continues to be an option I really doubt we'd take advantage of this. We stay on property all the time so we're bound to get at least one late night at MK.

I'm kind of surprised that Disney is doing this and wonder if it's testing the waters to have people pay for EMH down the road.

one of the days is on my birthday so I might do it if I get some extra ( like the coast of it) money for my birthday but I think that might be the only way and it will just be me going to it so no one else to buy a ticket for. if they did not offer the day for my accrual birthday there would be no way I would go but MK is my favorite park of them all, so I just might do it.

No, we have little ones and it is way to late for us. If I did not have kids? Maybe. But I would need to be 100% sure it was truly exclusive and low crowd guarantee. I have heard nightmares about long waits at the oversold Halloween parties and would be furious to pay top dollar and have to wait in long lines, my only reason would be for the low crowd access.

I don't know. If the reviews turn out good, I may consider it.

I really wonder how many tickets they are going to limit it to each night. If every ride really was a walk-on and the parks felt empty, then I'd consider it, but really only if I had just one day at Disney and it was already going to be a crowded day otherwise. When I first heard about it, I just shook my head, especially after hearing it only included ice cream and bottled beverages! Not even any hot food available, except for Casey's? That's just ridiculous to me.

I don't look at it as $150. It would be $600 for the family. We do usually splurge for the Halloween Party when we go in October, but that is half the cost and is for 5 hours, not 3, and provides a special parade and fireworks show that cannot otherwise be seen. No ice cream though.

In fact, elimination of free evening extra magic hours would definitely make me rethink purchasing park hoppers and might even influence me to consider a different vacation destination all together.

No. Because we've experienced Villains Night a couple of years and that was disaster. Despite we enjoyed meeting a few rare characters and had a few rides, it just wasn't worth the cost (and it was cheaper). We have APs so there's no tickets to worry about but I cannot seem to justify $300 for few hours and we already know that Disney is going to sell many tickets as possible so it will be crowded.

My first instinct is: No.

But I voted 'not sure', we don't have enough information. And we won't have till after the first few nights. I like to have one splurge in a trip. I can imagine this be a nice way to end a trip. If the reviews are good and the crowds are only a few thousand guests... I might.

( I have no kids and I usually go on Disney trips where every adult pays for him/herself)

I would view the fee ice cream the equivalent of trick or great candy at MNSSHP or cookies and cocoa at MVMCP.
