Also keep this in mind---Disney NEVER EVER gets anything right the first time.
It's usually a riot of ticked off people, then they modify. And modify again. It takes them several tries to get things right, or close to it.
Inaugural anything Disney kicks off should be a huge red flag.

You should really be wondering if they are going to do to it at all. After all, the only report is from an unsourced, unverified fan blog, not from Disney itself. People are getting really, really exasperated over what could turn out to be nothing. Not saying it won't happen, but don't cry over milk that hasn't been spilled yet.

It was on an official Disney page this morning. It has been slow to load all day, but there. HopperFan copied the contents of the page in the post I link in the first post of this thread.

This is something I would pay for if we were limited for time, like if my kids are playing in a tournament down there and we only wanted one day in the park. It would have to prove to be worth it though, if it is still 45 minute waits...no, but for walk on rides for 3 hours I definitely would.

Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather go back to the room and get a quality night's sleep before the next day's adventures. Maybe if I was the type of person who routinely stayed up until 2 am without feeling exhausted the next day, I would be interested, but that's just not me.!

And this is key. Gonna be challenging for the rope-droppers to be out until 2am and then back in the parks in just a few hours. I doubt folks would be back at the hotel (even the Contemporary) and ready for bed before 2:30am. Not to mention folks with small children. Our family would be among those who regularly shut the parks down, even MK during EMH at 2am or 3am and I can say for certain that this can really wear on a person after a couple of days. We never make rope drop (done it once) and it's just not feasible to burn the candle at both ends for long.

I'm guessing that this will appeal to younger adults and teens-- if they can afford it. Probably not gonna fly with those families on a multi day ticket vacation.

I would absolutely consider it but, like has been mentioned several times in this thread, only under a certain number of conditions.

1. They would have to prove that there is a hard cap on attendees. Thinking sub-5k?
2. All the rides would have to be operational or at the very least all the headliners
3. I would have to be in town for an extremely limited amount of time and thus have very little park time
4. I would have to be without the two DD - they are way too young to be out that late

That being said if I win the lotto, all bets are off! I'll even come back and throw a few tickets to everyone else here! :teeth:

Oh, and they say a "limited" number of tickets. Yep, Christmas and Halloween parties are limited too. They never say limited to WHAT.

But you don't know it will only be 5,000. Depends on how many people are crazy enough to pay the prices. And there will be plenty of people willing to do it. Disney will sell as many tickets as there are people willing to pay the price.

If that link on the other thread is really from Disney sources, the "limited" number of tickets is sort of an afterthought, NOT a main selling point of the event. In other words, expect the limit to be the same as the Halloween and Xmas parties, not 5,000. I'm guessing that if only 5000 people are willing to pay the $149, Disney would rather cancel and issue refunds. Or credits towards your next trip.

However, an emphasized main inducement is unlimited dollar store quality ice cream novelties and soft drinks. :rotfl2:

Select rides and attractions open? That could mean just those that are listed. But I suppose the "Plus much much more" is the regular roster of attractions open during evening EMH.

Who knows...maybe they'll slap together a last minute half-as.....ah,..baked.....live show on that outside Tomorrowland stage.

Nope, never and we would fall into the category of "those people" that is most likely the target for this.

I chose not sure because the only reason why I would do it, is if they have rare characters. I love seeing those and getting my picture taken with them. Otherwise I wouldn't want to pay those prices since I've got an AP this year.

No one is talking about the time is takes to get to all these attractions. We had FP+ for Space, 7DMT, and BTMRR from 4-7 on a MVMCP night. The good stuff is spread out and eats up a lot of time to just get to in the first place. That is why this kind of thing works better at like a Diagon Alley. MK is too big and built for too many guests to provide exclusive access for a premium with any kind of value.

No. $600 for my family.

But I predict it will sell out.

I can't wait to hear the reviews of this one.

Yes we would purchase this option IF and only IF these four stipulations were met:
1. MK is closed one hour prior to this event starting
2. Anyone not attending this event is escorted out of the park prior to the start of the 3 hour window
Well at least two of the nights have a parade scheduled right at park close.

I voted no because we have a toddler and probably won't see a park closing at 10pm for a few years never mind a 2am closing. However-if this were 2 years ago and it was an adults only trip then yeah we would have. We would have probably bought 1 day less of tickets to help offset the cost (I know we would still be paying more
Overall)

I was on the fence, waiting to see what perks they would offer. I did the RunDisney after hours party at Disneyland last year. At that event we had a "private" showing of the Paint the Night parade, Pirates, Live Bands, crowds were, well they just weren't. It was a lot of fun. I was expecting something like that from this event. "Free" ice cream ain't going to do it. Mark me down in the "No" category.

I'd definitely consider it as a splurge for our upcoming october trip, me and gf were looking at doing an illuminations cruise with just the two of us already so if we swap that out with this than its a wash money wise. Of course this hinges on more info being released which if it is still going on in oct I'm sure there will be.

Nope. First reason, I don't like staying up late. Second reason, it'll eventually go the same way as the parties, with Disney selling more & more, making the park crowded. Just not worth it to me.
