Will Point Amounts Change for 2009?

Hi,

I rented points from friend this year (we're going in Sept.). And even thouhg we haven't enjoyed this year's vacation yet, I'm already thinking of next year.

Chances are my friends will have points available to rent next year as well and the extra money from us renting will help them. I have a list of this years required points for rooms etc., but what about next year?

I have point information for this year and am trying to figure out how many points I would need to rent or what I will be able to get with the points available for next year. But I don't have any idea if this point list will change for 2009.

Do the points usually increase every year? If so, do you know when info. will be abailable for 2009 points? I jut don't want to figure out everyting based on the point info I have to only have it all change.

DVC points don't change from year to year. With a timeshare, there are a fixed number of points for each resort and that total can't be changed. It is possible for DVC to manipulate those points slightly, but any increase in points cost would have to be offset by a reduction somewhere within that same resort.

I could be wrong, but I think DVC has only changed established points schedules once since 1993, and that was to reduce points in one category at BWV.

There are minor adjustments in seasons each year, depending on when Easter and Thanksgiving fall, but the overall number of points still remains the same.

those points better not ever change!! (minor adjustments, not increases are OK) This is one reason I bought in to DVC because it will never inflate.
