We will be staying at CSR Jan 22-27 with a group of nine. We have always wanted to visit the WL and decided we would definitely make it there this trip. I thought it would be fun to eat at Whispering Canyon (I'm not sure if that's the right name) since there are several children in our group and they might enjoy the silliness. Do they just "goof around" at dinner or could we go for lunch as a midday break? Also should we make a PS or can we just show up? Thanks!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We usually go at lunch. It's not as crowded at the restaurant or in the lobby.

It would be a great place to go for lunch on a MK day. You could catch the launch over around 1:00, have PS for 1:30. Eat a leisurely meal, stroll around and explore the resort, and head back over to the MK around 3:00.

The launch runs fairly frequently and doesn't take too long. It isn't quite as convienent as eating at one of the monorail resorts on a MK day, but that middle of the day break is best if it takes a few hours anyway

If you go to the family sit-down restaurant, Roaring Forks, make sure the kids ask for ketchup. They only have a few bottles for the restaurant and when someone new asks for some the waiters yell 'KETCHUP' and whatever table has it has to bring it to the new table. They also do a horse race with the kids. We stayed at VWL last year and will again in March. We didn't tell DD about the antics that go on here so it was fun to what her expression when some of the things started going on.

DD8 loved Roaring Forks- she was more interested and what was going on that eating though:rolleyes:

Roaring Forks in the snack bar. Whispering Canyon is the "ketchup" place.

They "goof around" at all of the meals, but lunch is probably a better choice, because it won't be as crowded. When we went at dinner, we endured an 1 1/2 hour wait just to be seated, and with several kids, that can be a bit long. Our DD was asleep before the food hit the table, and didn't get to enjoy any of the activities for the kids, which is really the only reason we ate there in the 1st place. Go for lunch!

crisi- I couldn't remember which one was which:o -
