On another thread someone said the Frozen Singalong was cancelled, TSM was down and Fantasmic was cancelled. Thy also said it was pouring. Why would they close the Singalong?

We were at HS in the pouring rain yesterday. Had TSMM FP+ for 10:45-11:45, it was closed at that time so they extended our FP for the rest of the day. We rode around noon. We had FP for the Frozen Singalong at 4:30-4:45. It started later than 4:55 (not sure how much later it started), but it wasn't cancelled. We stayed until park closing, and Fantasmic was going on while we were riding ToT...

If it closed for a show or two, it could have been due to an actor becoming ill or being late due to the weather. When that happens, they cancel until everyone (or a replacement) is in place to run the show.

If it had been canceled for the complete day, it was more than likely due to technical problems.

Thought we were taking in this show just for the little kids in our party, but the whole family enjoyed it! Well done!

What do they do if you have a fp but it's cancelled? Do they give you a rain ticket for later? I really want to see this and someone said the wait wasn't bad but judging by how hard it is to get a fp for it I don't want to chance it.

We were there on Monday and two Frozen sing-a-long shows were cancelled in the morning due to technical difficulties was the reason given to me. They honored my premium tickets to see any show that I chose later on.

The show is cute, it's a mix of on stage actors and clips from the movie. Not all songs from the movie are sung - they go really fast from when Anna goes to see Elsa in the ice castle to the end. I won't ruin the end but I think the ending was the best but overall my husband and I thought that the Little Mermaid show was better than the Frozen sing-a-long but maybe that's because it wasn't movie clips that we see over and over again at home. If you love Elsa the ending may be worth the wait in line if you don't have fast passes.

Plus Toy Story Mania was down at least twice during the day but was operational during our fast pass time. The ride was the best part of the day.

Is the Frozen singalong awesome? My kids are so excited to see it!

I enjoyed the heck out of it. Did not think I would. I don't even have kids and I like Frozen OK but not that much.

sounds to me as if they might have had some power issues down at that end of the park.

Yes! I booked a FP+ for it just so my daughter could see it, and I enjoyed the heck out of it. We went back to another show later that day and canceled our VotLM FP+ and replaced it with Frozen on another one. I didn't think I'd like it all that much, but they made it so the whole family can enjoy.

We were disappointed in it. Most of the dialogue isn't Anna and Elsa but characters not from the movie who are trying to be funny. And then they show the clips of the songs with subtitles. It's okay, I guess, and I'm sure your kids will like it. But IMHO it would have been much better with Anna, Elsa and Christophe instead of the other characters.

Overall, it felt really slapped together. Like they figured they needed to add a Frozen show to DHS and came up with it in about a day.

DH was dreading it, but he really liked it. It is a very cute show. There is a humor geared for adults by the storytellers (even a GOT reference), which keeps it entertaining. Anna, Elsa and Kristoff all make appearances during the show. We were worried all it would be was hearing a ton of screaming children singing frozen songs at the top of their lungs. I'm not sure how they did the speakers or accoustics, but somehow the kids do not overpower the actual music, nor is the music overly loud. It is very well done. We all enjoyed it!

I can see how technical problems could cause a show cancellation. There are a lot of computer generated backscreens that set the stage, in addition to the movie clips. A computer glitch would take the show down.

Dh and I (no kids) loved it. I thought the storytellers were funny.

Kids and adults were all singing along, it was fun.

Agreed. We just saw it on Monday (in one of the not cancelled shows, apparently) and it basically just made me resent the tiered FP system that we couldn't have been riding RNRC or something else.

The dialogue of the two "Arendelle historians" was soooooo cheesy. I think we also may have gotten a bad audience (perhaps everyone was grumpy from the rain) because I could barely hear any kids singing along. I'll be really curious to see if the Disneyland show is exactly the same. Now that they have a human-sized Olaf I feel like that could liven things up a bit.
