thirsty only buttermilk can quench my thirst. I tried drowning myself in cherry sprites (I had 2 today;) ), water and finally had some buttermilk and got unthirsty. It was mighty tasty too.;)

It was good, Jason. And good for the body too. Lots of calcium (and it was FF:p ). AND! It quench my thirst.:)

My grandfather would agree with you and so would my mother. I don't care for buttermilk, myself, sets my teeth on edge just considering drinking the stuff.

When I'm really thirsty only water or unsweetened iced tea will slake my thirst :)

YUCK Shannon.....give me good old CHOCOLATE MILK.....probably not as good for you though:)

Ugghh!

My grandfather loved buttermilk. I hated it then, hate it now (except when I make homemade fried chicken).

Stick to the cherry sprite!

Oh Shannon, now I know why your feet smell when you take those shoes off. BUTTERMILK!!!!

I have never had Buttermilk but the name sounds tasty...is it?

I can't stand chocolate milk. I don't like regular milk either.

Bfeller, I swear, it wasn't my feet that night.:o My feet smell like my peach foot lotion.:)

Marilyn, my dd says she hates buttermilk too. But she sure does go to town on buttermilk ranch dressing.;)

Katholyn, I thought you were southern! You drink your tea unsweetened?

Jana, it's definately an aquired taste. I think I have excellent taste though.;) It's got a tangy kick.:)

OMG, do your feet smell like buttermilk?? Keep those shoes on when you are DISing girl! :p

Wow the name Buttermilk would make me think it smelled nice. I guess it doesn't:confused:

Shannon, I honestly can not tell you if I have ever drank buttermilk by itself.

However, DW uses it when she fixes biscuits and cornbread :) YUM, that woman makes great biscuits!!

As for regular milk - when we were having to get used to 2%, then 1%, and then Skim, we found that putting the glasses in the freezer for awhile before we drank it made it better!

My MIL still doesn't like milk because she couldn't drink cow's milk as a child and had to drink goat milk.

(I don't think she took it straight from the tap though. :p )

LOL! No, my feet smell like peaches. But I'm sure I have buttermilk breath.:o I need to brush my teeth again before I go to bed.:o

Jana, it doesn't taste like butter. The process to make buttermilk has a similiar process to milk. I've had homemade buttermilk-I'll never do that again.

I hope not Alan! I'm not much of a biscuit eater.:o But I love cornbread. I make pretty good cornbread.:) I love cornbread and buttermilk, but I prefer my buttermilk by itself.:)

I think the thickness is why I like it.:o It is definately an acquired taste. I like to dunk dill pickles in it too.:teeth: That really gives it a kick.:bounce:

you dunk pickles in your buttermilk?! I was already to defend you about drinking buttermilk, but i think you just crossed the line!!!!

:o Von, I also dip cheese cubes in it.:o Do you drink buttermilk too?:) Or am I the only one in the world that does? That's ok if I am, more for me, but I'm willing to share.:bounce:

i drink it when i can't sleep at night (and when i've bought some). but dunking pickles and cheese into it is.....well, out there. ;)
