Sorry if this has been asked on here. I really enjoyed the show, but shouldn't it be called Donald's Philharmagic? I don't even remember seeing Mickey in this show.

If you want to name it according to what's in it, it should be called Disney's 3-D commercial for their animated films.

Mickey takes the stage at the beginning of the film and Donald hasn't done his job of setting up the orchestra. He leaves his sorcerer's hat, which sets up the rest of the movie. Yes, Donald does have the majority of the film, but Mickey does get back the hat and conducts the final song. One presumes that Mickey was to have the whole show, but what fun would that have been?

I agree...I love Mickey's little cameo appearances. Exciting to see him when we get to see him.

When the building, that now holds Mickeys Philharmagic, first opened what was in it? What was its theme? I heard it used to be some sort of show with AAs of popular charcters like Mickey, Donald, Alice, The White Rabbit, etc... They would sing or somthing like that Iam not really sure.

I loved that original show. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called right now. Mickey's something. It had alot of the character audio-animatronics. My favorite scenes were when Sleeping Beauty was dressed as Briar Rose in the forest dancing with the owl, and then all of a sudden she was in her ballgown with the prince.
And The Three Caballaros, when they shot their guns and the room when dark and all you saw were the bullets flyng through the air. Then they were on the other side of the stage.
After that came the 3-D movie Magic Journeys. then came Lion King, and now Mickey's Philharmagic.
I don't think I missed anything, but others might have a better memory than this soon to be 50 year5 old with menopause brain. Peggie

The shows that have been in this theater are:

1. Mickey Mouse Revue
2. Magic Journey (3D film)
3. The Lion King Show
4. Mickey's Philharmagic

Yes Mickey is in it though briefly. Donald is certainly the main character as he gets in trouble by wearing the Magic Sorcerers Hat. I like how it does travel through the great animated songs and scenes of Disney through the years. It is a perfect show for the kids who are in Fantasyland and are certainly geared towards them. I love the apple pie smell !

Mickey does conduct the instruments so it is his philharmonica really, so it kinda makes sense. Besides it just rolls off the tongue better. But you are right, Donald is the "star" of the show as it were, getting the most airtime.

I didn't know what to expect of the show, hearing from a couple old CM friends that it was another cheap Disney 3D movie, but I was really pleasantly surprised. The image that sticks in my mind the most is when Ariel reaches out of the screen. I'm not that sentimental, but that one got me big time. Of course it's a touching moment, but not only that, but from a 3D perspective, again which is the kind of art I do, I was amazed at how it looked! It had to be one of the most incredible moments of 3D I'd ever seen. So crisp, so artistic.

My only fault was not in the film itself, which I found delightful, but the shortness of it. I wish they'd put more scenes in and made it longer. Maybe they will someday. After all, there is a lot more Disney films to get into. I will definitely go back and see it again the next time business takes me to Orlando. And hopefully soon take the family.

The earlier post is referring to the Mickey Mouse Revue, which is now in TDL. I never got to see it, even though I was at the MK during its run as a kid. Too bad. I would have loved to have seen the revue.
