IANAL, but I think there are prohibitions in law against releasing proprietary information, could result in monetary damages and other penalties. It has nothing to do with ownership - Tikiman was well known for being a very reliable source of information about the Polynesian Resort long before PVB came into existence. I have no idea whether he ever owned DVC or not; that’s irrelevant to the issue of whether or not he could release certain information.
