Why don't we make this trip report about 2012 & 2013.

I can't believe you didn't get any baby blankets at your shower. I know you got lots of other cute things but it is kind of funny. I'm sure some new moms get too many blankets. Can't wait to see the one you are making.

Looking forward to hearing about your August trip.

I received exactly 2 receiving blankets how sad is that and we used them all the time with the other 2. I am using flannel and quilters cotton to make them a nice summer weight.

It is hilarious I received all my big ticket items but none of the small things. So G and I are making lists of what we need to buy in the next couple of weeks. I have a feeling this is going to be like when we had C and we stopped at the store on the way home from the hospital.

I finished the baby blanket this morning and I love it. There is one more I have in my head I want to make so that will be done by the weekend.

I forgot the camera card when I went to work yesterday, so hopefully today I will share.

So I haven't shared about J in a long time, being Js Mom is a bit of a challenge. I always wonder if I am doing enough, what else should we try, is what we are doing working.

It is really hard to determine what J even really knows. We buy toys if he shows the slightest interest in them. It is a total guessing game.

So on Sunday I was sitting because it is honestly hard for me to get up and down, J climbed in my lap and wanted squeezes. He was having an extremely difficult sensory processing day. I asked if he was having issues and I received an actual verbal yeah. So I squeezed his head and then we were paying so I blew on his face he started giggling and after the third time of me doing it, he did it to me. It was something he has never done so we had a bit of a party about it. It is the littlest things that make us happy here.

That is such a wonderful story Chiara! I can't imagine how much those moments mean to you. YOu are such great parents to all of your kids.

My little brother is much the same way... Isn't not often that we make a "connection" but when we do - I treasure it so much.

Thank you for sharing. :grouphug:

Thanks Nini. I really do try to find the little joyful things.

So I remembered the camera card today, here is the baby blanket I did. I had to have this fabric and it just makes me happy.

That blanket is so cute :cutie: Not much longer now is it?

I loved your story about J! What a precious little boy and very lucky to have you for a mom! Ruth

I have about 4 weeks to my due date but I am heading to the dr in a bit for a sonogram to check the babies growth

Thank you as much as he drives me crazy I wouldn't trade him for anything

So how about a baby update!

I am now on weekly appointments at 34 weeks 4 days since the baby is measuring large. When I had my last sonogram she was measuring 3.5 lbs which was on target, yesterday she was measuring 7lbs. I am now measuring 37 weeks. My blood pressure was in the high normal range and minimal swelling. I then had the privilege of being hooked up to the fetal monitor but no contractions.

I can't schedule my c-section until 39weeks but if I go into labor he most likely wont stop it. We are looking at a 10lb baby.

I get to go back next Wednesday.

So happy that you both are healthy and doing well. Can't wait to meet her!!!

What a wonderful mother's day!!! It seems the little things in life are always the best. I know you are a great mom. J seems like such a sweetheart.

I'm too lazy to check... Were your other kids big babies, too? Glad everything looks ok!
What a sweet boy! Having a child with special needs is VERY challenging. Although my kids are very different from your son, I have 2 special needs children and it's exhausting. I don't talk about Nathaniel's issues much here and he's having a really good year this year so it's been easier but there are days when I just want to give up (the drama over doing his homework on Monday night was enough to make a grown woman cry). :flower3:

My others were indeed big. DD was 9lbs 14oz (she was 41w 3d) DS was 8lbs 4oz (at 38weeks). I am just getting nervous with how big she is.

I hate HW drama I had a year of that with DD.

:love:that's so wonderful! I think all mothers worry that they are doing what's best for their kids. J is lucky to have you for a Mom.

Love that blanket! So cute! I always love all your fabric choices! I especially love the fabrics you used for the Perry outfit. I find it a challenge to find cool fabrics that work for boys.

If you have a moment (I know you're crazy busy). Do you have any hints for my first AKV stay? I know you love it there. I booked a 1BR savanah view at Kidani for the 5 of us. It is with CRO not DVC. I got 35% off with Bounceback which is cheaper than renting points. I've stayed AKL on two trips and liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I'm hoping my non Disney loving DH will like the uniqueness of the resort.

So I started putting the nursery together. G painted it on Wednesday or was it Thursday. Yesterday I arranged the furniture how I wanted it and made the crib up.

We are off to a dance competition today and I am hoping to work on it more tonight. It is something I can do while everyone is sleeping and I can't get comfortable.

Have a great day and I will post some pictures of something soon.

I bet the baby's room looks perfect. Your babies were so big! You must be so excited.

Hi Chiara! I've been following along on D~s ptr and found that you had one too. I've read all 88 pages and have a lot to comment on. Firstly congratulations on Baby #3! I know you are so very excited.

2nd - my youngest dd lives in Astoria. I'd love to have a meet up next time I visit - though I don't know when that will be or if you will be able. I will probably go up in June for her birthday. I'm hoping to go see Matilda, since my oldest dd's goddaughter is one of the girls playing Matilda.

3rd - I've definitely been inspired by your creations. I don't have young children (or even grandchildren) to sew for, so I might have to start selling something. I've been bitten by the embroidery bug big time - I even bought a 770 and am waiting for it to be delivered.:scratchin

4th, from what I've read here, you are a wonderful mom to both your children. My youngest did the dance competition route for several years until she switched studios, so I've been there, done that. We always had fun, though. I know that sometimes its just the little things that tug at our heart strings. I think you are doing a great job with J, too. We had issues with my oldest ds too, though he was not a special needs child. he did have add and low self esteem, which we were able to get him help with both issues. He is now married and has a great job.

5th - we will just miss each other at WDW this year - you leave on the 4th and we arrive on the 5th. We are going to look into DVC while we are there. DH wants to go every year, so it may be a better fit for us.

Only a few more weeks until you can hold your "little" one! My first 2 were "normal" size - 6 & 7 pound range, but the last 2 were in the 9 and 8 lb range. My poor son was 9.4 and did not even fit in the "going home" outfit I took to the hospital!
