Why doesn't Disney alert you when you have a pin?

I have never gotten an email or anything in snail mail saying I have a pin. We will be in Florida at the end of June and would love to add a few days at Disney. I decided to call after seeing all the reports of people calling and low and behold I had not one pin, but 2 attached to my name. Unfortunately neither worked for our time frame, but I have free dining that ends in March and a room only that ends at the beginning of June. Why don't they do more to alert people? I am thinking they would have more reservation if people knew they could get a deal. I guess I will go and plan trips with our dates on the site and hope that generates a new pin.

I agree and also find it to be one of the mysteries of the never ending Pin saga :)
