Why Does Hollywood Studios Close So Early?

Hey all! I'm new to the boards and have really enjoyed researching for our trip in June using all your great info! I just went to the Disney Parks Website and was looking up EMH for our trip and noticed how early DHS closes on some days...7pm! Is this common for them? Is there some special reason they close this early?
Thanks for all your help!

I've always wondered this...and the same thing about the hours at US/IOA...but my own guess would be that there isn't as much to do in the the park so they close it earlier to avoid people complaining that there "isn't enough to do there" :confused3 Personally, it's my second favorite park and I think there's lots to do, but others may disagree. Any better ideas out there? :rolleyes1

It also seems that most nights that have EMH the park closes at 7 pm and EMH is done at a very early 10 pm. The one night I was there for the EMH the park was packed right up to closing and seemed not much of a benefit for 1 extra hour compared to a 9 pm non-EMH night.

US/IOA is within city limits. Lots of neighborhoods around that complain about noise, so the parks close early during most of the year. Hours tend to be later when the crowds are higher.
