Love the last of the scenic pictures DM!

and for the record, I know what a box is. I tailgate before the LSU football games with a bunch of drinking guys... yeah, box. I know.

I've been enjoying your TR and wanted to help you with your Canada picture with the unwanted people. I frequently get pix with people in them I don't want (sometimes it's just their...backside!) Anyway, I Photoshopped this for you, and pouf :wizard: , they're gone. Keep the reviews coming. 7 weeks until we're back in the magic. You've insprired my to do a pre-trip report. I'll check yours out for inspiration.

Looking toward the totem pole. I couldn’t get that couple out of my way. They just kept
sitting there. How rude. Didn’t they know that I like to take pictures with nobody in them?

Wow! That is totally awesome. And you know what? I could do that with my PhotoShop but never ever thought to do it. I don't even know why I didn't think of it. Usually, I just use it for touching up, cropping, etc. Now that you did the work for me on this one, I want to thank you for that and thank you also for "smacking me in the face" to remind me that I could do that.

I'm glad I inspired you to write a TR. It is so much fun reading people's TRs and seeing what we missed or reliving what we saw. So in about 8 weeks I'll be expecting a link to your new TR...(I gave you a week to get some housework done ;) ).

Oops - I just went back and re-read your reply and you said to start a PRE-trip report. Okay, nevermind what I just said above and now I look forward to your pre-trippie ;).

I've never been there but I hear it's expensive there. The only time we were out there was when they were married. They married at the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn. It was very nice there. We flew in for the wedding and out the next morning.

Actually, it's not nearly as expensive as NJ... our friends bought a brand new five bedroom brick home with a sunken living room, cathedral ceilings, floor to ceiling fireplace, decent size yard, and lovely street in Rochester Hills for the same price in 1987 at the same time that we bought our first house in NJ - a "summer cottage" converted to an "all year round" home, three tiny bedrooms, one bath, teeny kitchen, small yard, no basement... The comparison in homes was obscene! :sad2:

No Renee...mine was in Canada. And mine didn't have a little diva teenager in it...;)
very true.... :hippie:

Browsing Canada

As we left Le Cellier the kids wanted to look around Canada. So we head around the
little path and over a bridge until we came to the Mighty Niagara Falls. It looks like
Brooke has a headache, eh?
P1000691.jpg

Hmm, last time I visited Niagara Falls I was pregnant with Brooke and it seemed so much
bigger...

I thought I’d throw in an old photo for you to see the real Niagara Falls and me with my
big old pregnant belly.

Anywho, around we go and up the stairs. Glad we didn’t bring the strollers. Turns out that
nobody really cared about looking around as much as I did. They went on ahead and I tried
my best to be a professional photographer.

Looking down toward the World Showcase...
P1000692.jpg

I turned around and saw this cute little nook with no one. I especially love taking scenic
shots if no one is around...
P1000693.jpg

sitting there. How rude. Didn’t the know that I like to take pictures with nobody in them?
P1000694.jpg

Back down the steps and around back toward Le Cellier to get the strollers. I’m trying to get
fancy with the lighting effect. Doesn’t quite cut it though.
P1000696.jpg

And then I turn around and see this. Quite lovely so I took yet another scenic shot...
P1000697.jpg

My, oh my...did I bore you with scenic pictures this time? Stay tuned for a bit of Imagination and a totally freaky picture!

Great pics DM!!! Thanks for posting! It doesnt look half as hot in the pics as in real life! :scared:

Are you going to the VT/LSU game?? I would love to--but the tix are $350 EACH...
(actually all the Tech games this year are ridiculous, but I live so close now that I think I'll just drive to the game and grab some from the people holding them up...)

I've been enjoying your TR and wanted to help you with your Canada picture with the unwanted people.

Wow--you must be Tinkerbell! That was pretty cool!

I'm waiting for the freakiness...;)
It's only just beginning!!

Hey all-
I get to pick up my baby from camp this morning!!! At 11!! It's been a long mommy week.....

Imagination

Rob wanted to go back to Ellen’s Universe of Energy. I forgot to mention that earlier in the day they had the whole area roped off. When I questioned the CMs why it was roped off they said that the ride was down. I asked them if they could give me a guess-timate on when it would be back up and they kind of chuckled and said they had no idea. So I told Rob we could head back over there. On the way there we got side-tracked and went stopped in the Imagination pavillion to ride Figment. I just thought it would be a quickie ride and browse around the building and then we could be off to Ellen.

There was absolutely nobody waiting to go on Figment. It was really weird. Almost like if it is this bad during busy season then thoughts go to the mind that they will probably close this attraction down and come up with something else. So, we all got into our little ride vehicle and off we went...
P1000699.jpg

Look how little Brookie looks in her seat. I just thought this was amusing. Anyway, carry on...
P1000701.jpg

...and here is the star of the show. Pretty exciting picture, eh?
P1000702.jpg

After the Figment attaction we stayed in the building to check some things out. Here is my story about the mother whom I wanted to have words with but kept my cool...

There are some areas in the building where your child can go up to a certain spot and wave their hands around and they can hear music with lights (I think) on the wall in front of them. Each area can accommodate 2 kids. So I spotted the one area open with no one there and I tell Alec to go on up and try it. Just then another mom sees it and runs up with her 2 sons, puts one in one section quickly and turns around to put her other son in the next area. But Alec had just gotten up there. She takes one look at Alec and lets out a big sound, kinda like, “Huh!” She must have stood 1 foot away from Alec with her other son waiting with a mean look on her face for him to finish. It made Alec nervous. I told him to go ahead and don’t worry about it. I really was ready to tell the woman to back off. I mean she was just about tapping her foot waiting for Alec to finish. All because she wanted her 2 boys together. I looked over and there was the same exact kind of spot with 2 empty spaces right next to us so I told Alec to come with me. I am amazed at how cool I kept myself because I don’t have a problem stating my mind if my kids are involved. Turns out she got her 2nd son there, took a picture, let him “play” for about 30 seconds and then rushed the kids off toward something else.

We went over to some computers where you could take your picture and email them to someone. The boys got their picture taken and then we morphed Evan into a lion. It was so cool so we sent it to my dad and back home to us for souvenirs. Turns out my dad never received it nor did we. What a bummer!

Then we saw the musical floor. I remember the boys had a lot of fun here back in 2003. The kids still had fun and I let them have quite a bit of time just jumping around there. Here’s a little video of their fun...

Guess who shows up while we were there. Yup, the obnoxious mom. She let her boys play about another 30 seconds and then said, “Come on, let’s go here!” Now that is commando in it’s worst!

We noticed a bunch of pictures on the wall that we thought were really really cool. You could have your picture taken and they would “insert” you into different scenes throughout The World. One of them really caught our eye. It looked like you were flying over the Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella’s Castle. We wanted to have the 3 kids in that picture. But it was 6:55 pm and the CM said that they couldn’t do it now. We knew we would be back on Thursday so we said no problem, we’ll be back on Thursday.

Then the boys started saying that there’s Brookie’s picture on the wall. Even Brookie was saying there she was. Rob & I glanced over at this picture...
P1000704.jpg

Can you believe this picture? I mean I had to look at Brooke and the girl in the picture to make sure their hair was different that day because I thought it looked just like Brooke. What do you all think? It was really freaky for us to see that! Here's a pic of Brooke & I for you to compare...
P1000472.jpg

Anywho, we had about ½ hour until we had to go to the DIS meet in Norway so we let the kids play in the fountains a bit. Boy that was refreshing!

...and then we were off toward Norway to our big DIS meet!

Next installment...June 23...Epcot...Norway DIS Meet

All this box talk reminds me of one of my favorite lines from Sex & the City. Miranda is filling out the paperwork to buy her apartment and she has to keep checking the Single Woman box. The Carrie says something like, "By the end of the day, Miranda had checked more single woman's boxes than a gynecologist." :rotfl2:

That should make the definition pretty clear... :rolleyes1

Now DM are you one of those who falls asleep in Ellen's?

Can't wait to hear about the meet.

I posted my side of the cruise story.

I must say the similarities are amazing.....& I would have asked the mean Mom to move on...& leave My kid alone...so you have much more patience than me!!!!!:scared1:

Love the Pics & the Videos!!!!

OK you win it was better than my suitcase update :rotfl2:

I loved Figment as a child but was so disappointed last trip, wish they'd change it back! That photo is freaky because it does look just like Brooke

But I have an advantage on my update...I was in Disney World. Everything is better in Disney World! I wonder how long ago that picture was taken of whoever that little girl is...

I really had to restrain myself to not say something. Seriously! I thought it may upset Alec if I did say something so I was "cool" about it.

Now DM are you one of those who falls asleep in Ellen's?

No! I don't fall asleep on any ride. Plus I'm a light sleeper...

Sure looks like Brookie to ME! :goodvibes (better check to make sure there aren't any "hidden cameras" in your house! :lmao: )

We skipped Figment this year - Dana was not impressed last year.

We never seem to have time to do any of those "fun" things in Innovations... NEXT TIME.... (we did try to email one year, and it didn't work either, so it's not just you!)

Good for you that you had enough self control not to get into it with that dopey mother.... I had a "teacher moment" on line for the bus at MK to get back to the hotel.. I'm not giving "details", as I have a sneaky suspicion it might have been a DISer... :rolleyes1 but, this child was getting on my last nerve, and the parents were allowing it - I gave my "teacher look" a few times, then I just HAD to say something... (not rudely, mind you, just something to get the kid to "think") and the PARENTS made a comment to the kid, pretty much condoning the rude behavoir, instead of correcting him. THAT'S why kids are the way they are sometimes - the PARENTS have no sense. :sad2:

PS: anxiously waiting to hear about the NORWAY DIS MEET that I had to miss.:sad1: :sad1: (dang those inlaws.... )
