Oh you big meanies making her give it up at only 5 years old! :lmao: I hope Brookie doesn't keep it that long. I'm really hoping that preschool will help.

Hm...no binkies in Michigan, eh? My bro- and sis-in-law are adopting a baby from China. I wish they would get the baby already and then I could use that story too...(they live near Detroit). Some bragging here...my bro-in-law is a big wig for Business Week magazine. He sometimes also writes articles in, I think, Auto Week and is on CNN frequently when they are talking about the American auto makers. His name is David Welch. Okay, bragging done.

What town do they live in? Bob's mom is from "Warren", which is near Detroit, and his sister is in "Lake Orion"...

Yes, Faith will be 3 Aug 13th...She still uses paci and is not potty trained. What a horrible mother I am:lmao:

Dana had her pacifier until she was 3 years 4 months old... she potty trained at 3 years 2 months old... she got rid of her bottle around the same time...
We went to WDW two weeks after she turned 3 with bottles, pacifiers, pull ups, and diapers... lol You can't push them - they all do things on their own time - you aren't a "horrible mother"! :goodvibes

He & his wife live in Rochester Hills.

Well I'm happy I stopped the bottle at 1 year old. She still does sippy cups at home when she's walking around but otherwise, she drinks from a regular small cup. I loved the day that I threw away all those bottles!!!

OH GOODIE...so now I dont feel bad that she still has a paci and not potty trained. Honestly though the potty training thing doesnt bother me. I cant force her to use the bathroom...My mother has a problem with it though:sad2: I dont know why, its not like she is changing diapers or even buying them. I potty trained two other kids, so I am not in fear, yet:eek:

Haley never took a pasi, she would stick her pointie finger in her mouth, did that till she was 5 and starting kindergarten and saw that none of the other kids sucked their fingers/thumbs. Ryan had a pasi and I took that a way along with the bottles at 1yrs. Now if I could only get rid of the two stuffed animals that Haley sleeps with. One she has had since she was 6 months old and I'm surprised that it isn't falling about and the other she has had since she was 7.

Faith is Brookie's age, right? We used to keep it only in her bedroom and was fine the whole day without it, only going to bed with it. Then about 6 months back, we removed the gate from the stairway and she was going up to get the binkie all by herself. We tried hiding it but then that caused meltdowns...:confused3

Yes, Faith will be 3 Aug 13th...She still uses paci and is not potty trained. What a horrible mother I am:lmao:

I had 4 kids and they are all different...some took the binky and sucked on the darn thing for 3 1/2 years straight no matter what I did or said. Then others didnt take it at all. They all potty trained after they were three so it only took a week or two to train them. All kids are different and its surprising how little control parents have on their personalities!
So...you arent horrible at all....if the kids need the extra security...why deprive them of it? I never understood why my pediatrician was like...take that thing away. I didnt listen and they all came out fine...and the dentist doesnt have to fix their teeth either

DM - Great updates...sorry about the Alec's kids' steak...I wonder what happened to it? Did you like the kids meals in general? I think Disney really skimps on their meals. The dont always have healthy options....and my kids really got away with the mac and cheese thing :sad2:

Oh yeah...my vote is long updates every 4 or 5 days...but no cliffhangers....Goofyluver is killing me with the cliffhanger....what comes around goes around I say! :rolleyes1 popcorn::

:rotfl2: We took the passie away "cold turkey" one weekend when she was 3 1/2......but I left her in her crib until months later, cause I KNEW she'd be up looking for it! The other moms said "Uh, Tracy, ya gotta get the kid outta the crib before kindergarten!!"

Actually, at 10, she could probably still fit in it if she wouldn't sleep cross-wise. She's gonna be "petite" like me.

Oh--now I really miss her--I am counting down the days till her camp is over (Friday at 11 am). I have driven by the camp twice already......but I didn't stop........cause they said not to......but I really want to!

Oh yeah DM I just googled your brother
Stalker;)

Short updates is the way to go! It's easier on me and everyone likes it! I'm glad that you chose Le Cellier. I love hearing about everyone's experiences so I'll be watching for your TR....you will be writing one, right, when you go?

Ummm, I don't know. I'm scared to death to do a trippie :scared1: I have no idea why but I am. You all are too good at what you do and I'm not sure I can do it that well :confused3

Mmmm, your main dishes and dessert look so good! Glad you got your computer back, but I'm sorry it was $300. I vote for longer installments that come every 3 or 4 days. Gives me time to catch up on other TRs...

Denise

Post people...come on out you lurkers!!! Help me out.....

Hey DM!! I have access to a computer so I just wanted you to know that I started reading your TP. I think I have read around 20 pages. I think I am on day two. I am just trying to catch up.

I love the pics of your kids.

Renee I have family in Warren!

Ok.... I just read pages 20-34. I am all caught up now. I am glad your computer broke down so I had a chance to catch up. It only took about 3 1/2 hours. popcorn:: It sounds like so far you all had no problems and a great time.

[Thank you so much! My kids are cute most of the time, and some of the time they are pains in the patooties. Case in point...lovely Brooke's hissy fit. :confused3 But I guess nothing is perfect no matter how much I try...

Your kids are really cute. I loved the video of your son's Disney Dance!!

Yup. I researched this one out on the DIS before we went. I wish they would get all the rides up on it. Then no more rednecking pics!

I was just wondering... What is rednecking pics?

She absolutely got her money's worth! There weren't a lot of photos on my PhotoPass sadly. But there were definitely enough that buying the photos alone would not make sense for me. I like having control of my pics so the CD for us was the way to go. Just can't show Rob how much it cost...:upsidedow

Could you give me some advice on how to get the photopass CD. I have never gotten one. On our last night, the CM I spoke with at MK told me that it was better to just get the CD. I think I only have a couple days left to get mine as my 30 days will be up.

Thanks Renee!!! I now need to figure out which ones I want to frame... I had just having them all on my computer! I can't see them that way as much as I want! I can't wait to see the ones you ordered! And WAHOO for saving 40%!

I was wondering if the 40% off came as a coupon in the mail? I am not home yet.

[Brookie just turned 3 on Sunday. We got that last Disney vacation in while she was still free! I'm dreading when the kids get to the "adult" prices...:scared1:

I dreaded paying for my oldest, Caleb, who is 10, but he really loved being an "adult". I was worried what he would eat too. The day before we left we went through all the menus and picked out his appetizers, entrees, and desserts for each TS restaurant we had ADR for. He tried a lot of new things. I was glad we were on the DDP because it was totally worth the money.

However, everyone here must read every last word, and that's an order! :lmao:

Wow... I am glad I read every word. I wouldn't want to disobey an order.

DM Norton and McAfee stink. I won't discuss what happened with Norton and I but we no longer have a relationship. The PC's in the house have AVG. The thing with Norton and McAfee is there are loopholes to each and to many glitches. It also slows a computer down.

Thanks for that info. I have McAfee. I will have to find some info on Panda.

Tracy - Dana was in the crib until she was potty trained... that was my incentive to her - "Big girl bed means big girl panties - no more diapers"... ;) The things we do......:goodvibes

I last left you at the end of our appetizers. Brookie was still fast asleep in her stroller, which
was very nice for us.

I read this as...Brookie was still fast asleep in her stroller, which was very nice of her:rotfl: Works either way though, doesn't it? My little guy wakes up cranky, too. Luckily, he has given up his naps (and paci) this summer at almost 4. I just didn't have the heart to deprive him of his paci when it gives him so much comfort.

Writing a TR is not that hard but you need to spice it up. Adding pictures is always a good thing! Plus, getting the word out that you have a TR is great. Then you don't sit there and wonder why no one is reading your report.

Mmmm, your main dishes and dessert look so good! Glad you got your computer back, but I'm sorry it was $300. I vote for longer installments that come every 3 or 4 days. Gives me time to catch up on other TRs...

You lose. I'm doing short updates every couple of days. Sorry. But they are short updates so it shouldn't take you too long at all.

Where the heck are you?? Are you really on vacation this long?

We have friends in Rochester Hills. Lovely area...
I've never been there but I hear it's expensive there. The only time we were out there was when they were married. They married at the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn. It was very nice there. We flew in for the wedding and out the next morning.

It was a great time! I wish we could have met up in the MK that Friday. We stayed until 1 am!

Could you give me some advice on how to get the photopass CD. I have never gotten one. On our last night, the CM I spoke with at MK told me that it was better to just get the CD. I think I only have a couple days left to get mine as my 30 days will be up.
You need to get online soon and look at them. I only had 20-something pics but I added the graphics Disney provides. It saves your original photo and any other ones you edit. So I ended up with over 100 when I was finished. The CD cost $129 plus tax. You can call me if you want. Do you still have my home phone #?

I was wondering if the 40% off came as a coupon in the mail? I am not home yet.
I don't know about that coupon. I heard it may be in an email but I don't think applied for the CD - just prints. But I'm not sure...:confused3

Unless we get some good money, it will be a couple years before we go back and Evan will be an adult and Brookie will be a child. Way more money! But we'll deal with it. I'd rather save up so we can stay at the Yacht Club next time again.

Wow... I am glad I read every word. I wouldn't want to disobey an order.
What at good girl you are!

Thanks for that info. I have McAfee. I will have to find some info on Panda.
So far, so good here. I can't believe how much faster the computer is now that the hackers aren't using all my memory!

Tracy - Dana was in the crib until she was potty trained... that was my incentive to her - "Big girl bed means big girl panties - no more diapers"... ;) The things we do......:goodvibes

Renée
Brooke was in a toddler bed at 1 year exactly. She's still in it and I'm not in a hurry to buy the bigger bed...

I did wonder if DM would think I was a stalker :rotfl2:
Actually, I was impressed that you would want to look it up! I do things like that too...:flower3:

Funny how you can read things differently. I guess it kinda did mean the same thing, huh? The binkie doesn't bother me at home that much. It bothered me in Disney World because I don't like "public displays of binkies" in kids that age. But, we really needed at times there and for the sake of our vacation, we let her have it.
