My paci story - DD2 would never take a paci. Then she realized that the other toddlers at daycare had a paci and she decided she wanted one at almost 2 years old. She takes the medicine dropper from the infants tylenol and mothrin bottles and sucks on them, calling them her paci.:confused3
My MIL laughs and tells us we are white trash b/c we make our daughter use a medicine dropper for her paci.
Wow--2 year old peer pressure!

And I never have got to go on the Ellen thing--I drug (dragged?--drugs would have been more effective...) everyone over there last trip and we waited 20 minutes only for someone to tell us that some kid had to go to the bathroom and the ride had to be shut down for an hour. DH interpreted that as a sign that we never had to see the thing...

DM- love the updates and the pictures in Canada, and the one in Imageworks does look like Brooke to a tee.

You can't tell ANYONE to update more often! LY/MI :rotfl2:

I have no idea what a "box" is - seriously- not joking here.

Hey...she asked... :lmao:

I loooove your paci story!!! :rotfl:

Great chapter! One of the things I want to do is take our picture at the imagination pavillion so I can't wait to see if you ended up doing it and how it turned out!
Okay, I guess I have to spill the beans here. We never got to get the picture. I'll end up writing why when I get to that point but we were disappointed that we didn't get it.

Yay for keepin' your cool with the meanie mom. As we have learned...rude people are everywhere!!!

And omgoodness! That little girl looks so much like Brooke. I mean...even your boys thought it was her!!! Freakalicious!
Boo to all those meanie moms. I have to admit that most people were very pleasant this trip!

Whew! I'm caught up! Ive missed the last few days on this.
:cheer2: for handling the rude mom. We had an instance when my DS5(he has cerebral Palsy) was walking in a CiCi's Pizza and fell into a lady I immediatly was apologizing and he was trying to say excuse me and she was lambasting him on how he should look where he was going and she was right beside him and blah..blah...blah. Then the manager who knows us (just from visiting so often:laughing: )came to check on Braeton and when the lady saw his braces then she was being overly sweet. I mean even if he didn't have CP He immediatly apologized and was saying excuse me. He barely weighs 30lbs. Trust me he wasn't hurting this individual! Of course I was so mad I just had to oopen my BIG mouth and say in an apologetic but kinda mad  voice " Oh Ma'am I'm so sorry we didn't see you and he has no peripheal vision. Please excuse him!" And then she slithered off to her seat!!!!! end of soapbox!!!!
Thanks for the great Pics. I can't wait to go!!!
What a terrible story! I hope that mom just wasn't having a bad day and yelled at your son for that. I mean, she did try to be nice later... But, I would have been mad to, especially when you are protective of your son!

OMG - I can't decide which one I want!
But you must decide and you can only have one.... It was an easy choice for me! :thumbsup2

Box? I'm not even going there now.... Sorry! Just think dirty, I guess!

Yes, I can say you are definitely white trash with your daughter's binkies (joke)! :rotfl: But don't let TE see that, I'm sure she'll be able to find a picture and post it!

DM - thanks for all the great photos. Did you like the Ellen ride? We did it years ago and never go back.
Hmmm.....did I say I rode the Ellen ride? :rolleyes1

We have something in common... I love to take pictures with no one in them too...the ones you took are great!

We didn't get our morphed picture emails either. I was disappointed.

That little girl does look like Brooke...I'm sure that was really weird to see someone that looks so much like your own child up on the wall.
I love the scenic shots now. I didn't use to but now I do. Some of my favorite ones, not Disney related, are from our Ft. Myers vacations.

Next time I will remember not to waste our times with those stupid morphed emails!

Rob likes it. It's a nice place to relax because it is soooo long.

Thank you! I'm very happy with the pictures I took in Canada. I got off to a good start with taking pictures of the different countries...

Hey...she asked... :lmao:
Ooops! I meant to ask everyone but you! :lmao: But you get what you want anyway!

DM I was about to quote MizDiz saying she was going to my TR but thought better of it as you may accuse me of pimping my PreTR or something :rotfl2:

I love the videos... we have yet to go into the imagination pavillion, we always mean to ... but somehow miss it...

Great pictures, DM!

Sorry about the mean mom. I'm glad she didn't cause any more trouble for you...or did she???

Too wierd about the picture of Brooke's look-a-like!

I'm looking forward to hearing about the Norway DIS meet...

Also, can you tell me how you edit the title of your thread? I can't figure it out for my Pre-Trip report.

I can help you with this. Click on edit, then click on go advanced. This will allow you to change the title. PM me if you need more help.

Thank you! I think there's always that building that you "mean to go in" but never do. We have been there/did that, many times and this trip is no exception. I guess that always warrants another trip!

Thank you Denise. No, mean mom never caused any more problems, just frustration at that particular time. I felt bad for her kids the 2nd time we saw her. Makes me feel like a extra good mommy!! ;)

Norway DIS meet coming right up....

3. Visit some countries with the kiddos...:)
4. A margarita from Mexico...:drinking1

So it was now 7 pm and that meant that most of Future World was closing down and, sadly, that meant no Ellen today. We had to get over to Norway for the big DIS meet. I wanted to make sure I got there early so people would see me plus I had to get a drink on the way. We head out toward the World Showcase and we make it to Mexico where I saw the margarita stand. Hold it everyone!!! I must get me one of them! I wanted the multi-flavored one except without the mango. Turns out they only had lime & strawberry margaritas left. Good enough for me! I buy me one of them $10 margaritas and the kids saw it and wanted some too. So we all took turns sharing until the kids passed out. You see, I wanted them on their best behavior for our DIS meet.

Psych!! No way would I even let them have a taste of my margarita. It was mine, mine, mine! Oh yeah, and because it’s not good to give kids alcohol, blah, blah.

Brooke had to go to the bathroom and I told Rob to take her because, well, I just got my frozen margarita and I need to get over to Norway so I had no time for kids and their potty breaks! Did I mention that I wanted to drink my margarita and that would get in the way too? ;) The boys and I then slowly headed over to Norway.

As we were strolling along I looked up toward Norway near the Akershus restaurant. Up on a little elevated area was this blond woman jumping up and down waving her arms. I thought it was quite a bit odd of her and wondered who she was trying to draw the attention of. As I came even closert it seemed as though she was looking right at me. I glanced to my side to see if anyone was near me looking at this crazy woman still frantically waving her arms over her head. Nope. Then, the scary part happens. This woman ran down the couple of steps and started heading my way. She started yelling, “DawnMaree!” Crikey! She knew my name! Then it hit me...it was none other than Cathy (twob4him)! We hugged as I was still chuckling over how she was trying to get my attention. Cathy then told me she had a present for me. I thought how kind of her to get me something! Turned out to be Felicia von Focker Crocker! Way to spring for the gift, Cathy! Seriously though, she was sweet as can be! Then, as we were chatting another woman came up and asked just a tad reluctantly, “Is this the DIS meet?” I said yes but I didn’t recognize her. It was Kate (kate2961). Kate had signed up for the DIS meet when I posted it on the Meets Board. So, it was so nice to meet another DISer to chat with. Next up was Kari (karibritt01) and then Jackie (sunlvr). We all chatted quite a bit and took some pics. Looks like I was the only one looking at my camera. From left to right: Me, Kate, Cathy, Jackie, Kari.

The plan was to ride Maelstrom at 8 pm. Tony (ragnrok23) (aka Rags) and his new bride were supposed to meet up with us when they finished with their Le Cellier dinner so I didn’t want to rush to Maelstrom until at least 8 pm. So, 8 pm struck and I said, “Let’s go!” There was a sign there stating that there was a 40 minute wait and it was closing at 8 pm. Cathy took that as a “See ya!” I mean she was outta there so fast I could barely blink! Others started to say their goodbyes. Then Kari said, “Look behind you, there’s Rags!” Sure enough, there he was with his lovely bride Scilla.

Then Rob started with the slightly mean looks, trying to get me to say goodbye so we could leave because the kids were acting up and he didn’t feel like dealing with it alone. So, I waited until it was the best time to say goodbye but first I had to take a picture of the newlyweds...

And off we went. It was time to get back to our room. The kids were tired and so were Rob & I. I wished I could have chatted with my DIS friends longer but time didn’t allow for us. I felt bad that Renée (SingingMom) never showed up. As we were walking out I went to call her and noticed that she had left a voice mail saying that she wasn't able to make the Meet. I felt bad but I figured that there were still 2 other days that we were in the same parks that we could meet up so I didn't think twice about it then.

On the walk toward the front of the park, I snapped this shot...

The ride back to the resort was uneventful. We all washed up and hopped into bed. Watched TV a bit. I set the alarm for 6:30 am tomorrow.

So, to sum up our first day at Epcot, It think it all went very well. We all had fun. My feet hurt just a bit but probably because I wasn't used to walking that much. Anything we missed we knew we could make up for when we returned on Thursday.

Stay tuned for Sunday which is our Magic Kingdom day and another DIS meet!!

Next Installment...June 24...Magic Kingdom...Another DIS Meet

Congrats on a successful DIS meet! :thumbsup2 It's always so fun to hear these come together.

Oh yeah, and because it’s not good to give kids alcohol, blah, blah.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Ok, how sad do I feel that I wasn't even mentioned in the fact that I tried my BEST to get rid of the inlaws in time to get to that DIS meet, but, alas, was not able to :sad2: , but I DID call to give my regrets?? :sad1: Ok, DM, going back to bed to put the covers over my head.... ::sniffle:: ::sniffle::
Renée
