I'm glad that she thinks so too. It just must be a bad picture of him and my brain wasn't playing tricks on me.

We always ride Maelstrom also. My favorite parts are the Anorexic Polar Bear standing on his hind legs and the Off Shore drill rig. Uhm... what the...?

I actually really like seeing that off-shore oil rig. It's kinda cool. We saw a TV show on them once and they are very interesting.

Thursday, June 28...Epcot
The Year of the Rabbit, Snake & Monkey during Oktoberfest

Hopes:
1. More PhotoPass pictures taken...
2. Good lunch at Coral Reef...
3. My feet feel better with the blisters...
4. Good & fun dinner at Garden Grill
5. A meeting with the Dream Team

Wants:
1. Ride Soarin’...
2. Explore World Showcase
3. Get the kid’s pictures on a poster


The kids were all psyched now with the Kidcot stations. It became their mission to find the station and get the special thingie that hangs on it.

We arrived to China and briefly looked around. Gotta find that Kidcot station now! And wouldn’t you know it’s way in the back. Rob waited in the short line with the kids to receive their thingie (official name for it I think) and I took the one and only picture of China.

I wish I took more but as I stood there I just wasn’t that thrilled. I am not really into the Asian style. The CM even wrote each of the kid’s names in Chinese on the back of the mask. Here is Evan’s name in Chinese ...

The CM amazed Rob because she asked each of the kids their birthdays, including the year, and she immediately knew what Chinese Year they were born in! There was no cheat sheet that Rob could see. The CM knew her stuff! The kids even received a special stamp that indicated their own Chinese Year. Evan was the Rabbit, Alec the Snake, and Brookie the Monkey.

So, after all that we were on our way to Germany.

Some of you know that my Mom was born in Germany. I’m not going into all of that but it does hold somewhat of a special place in my heart. So, before I entered the plaza I took this picture ...

But I wanted a closer shot without all the people and the only way to do that was to go up ...

Ah ... you can see it is 4:40 pm at this time and our Garden Grill ADR is for 6:30 pm. Plenty of time to finish the rest of the countries, right?

We finally found the Kidcot station after entering the wine cellar. No it wasn't in the wine cellar. That's just one of the places I looked for the Kidcot station. It made total sense to me to have it there. Anywho ... Rob said no tastings. Whatever. I’m not fond of most German wine anyway. I looked at the list and wasn’t impressed. I remember the mask thingie was a teddy bear! Woohoo for me remembering! Or maybe I cheated and looked at Evan’s mask. But I’m not telling ...

Rob’s grandfather worked on the railway. I don’t know which one he worked for but Rob has always loved trains, model railroads. Stuff like that. We never took the time to look at Germany’s model railway before so this was our time. The boys really loved to look at it but the trains were not running. What a big disappointment.

I, however, got the biggest kick out of watching the geckos (or whatever they are) running through the miniature village. I kept thinking of Godzilla. Wish I thought to get it on video. I did get a picture but them sneaky geckos made a disappearing act when I snapped the pic ... but not before they took down a poor innocent village boy. See him knocked out on the left.

And can you guess where we were headed next? Was it time to check out the hot Italian guys ... besides Rob that is?
