Here is Evan’s name in Chinese ...

Hmmmmmmmmm

How do you really know it says "Evan"??? Can you read Chinese? What if it actually says something like "I'm a goober"!!!

:rotfl2: :lmao:

And can you guess where we were headed next? Was it time to check out the hot Italian guys ... besides Rob that is?

Waiting .......... popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Thanks for the update. :lmao: I just missed it.

I have never been throught the shops in Germany because I have always been too afraid my little ones would break something. Some how I have always been able to stop and have a pretzel and a beer. :confused3

I'm here and right on time apparently. No time to quote, I've got to go to school now!

Have fun DISing, dagnabbit! :headache:

OH and Jo, I know that you know that I know I'm really your bestest DIS friend. Oh wait, I meant IRL bestest friend. :rotfl2:

When did TE join the Lapu fest:lmao:

I little photoshopping by DM again???
:confused3 I have no idea what you are talking about. DM and I remember having a great time!
Thanks CE I know who my real DIS friends are :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Is it? We say it here too!!!
Hmm.....we are full of cliches here in the mountains. Still not sure why we say "there's more than one way to skin a cat" Who would do that???

That was the photo they forgot to take! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :rolleyes1
Told ya so!

In which she means DM & TE are the bestest ever!
:snooty:

The CM amazed Rob because she asked each of the kids their birthdays, including the year, and she immediately knew what Chinese Year they were born in! There was no cheat sheet that Rob could see. The CM knew her stuff! The kids even received a special stamp that indicated their own Chinese Year. Evan was the Rabbit, Alec the Snake, and Brookie the Monkey.
We thought that was cool too--except there was something strange about her Jan birthday--something about the new year hadn't started yet in China.

So, after all that we were on our way to Germany.

Anywho ... Rob said no tastings.
DH tastes in every country--complete with the full tray. Then we (meaning he) has to carry the bottles all around the World. (He even subscribes to Wine Spectator.:snooty: BA asked him if that meant he was a wino! :lmao: )

I kept thinking of Godzilla.
:rotfl2: Reminds me of Geico.
Was it time to check out the hot Italian guys
Yes!! Or head back to Norway!

Godzilla was DEFINITELY in the wrong country. Just sayin'... :rotfl:

I, by the way, am a Rat. Go figure. :lmao:

Still not sure why we say "there's more than one way to skin a cat" Who would do that???

 :rotfl2: Actually, we said that in IL, too.

We thought that was cool too--except there was something strange about her Jan birthday--something about the new year hadn't started yet in China.

Yep, according to Google, the Chinese New Year begins sometime between Jan. 23rd and Feb. 19th, so it would depend on the year as far as Jan./Feb. birthdays.

OK, this is off topic (sorry DM) but it reminds me of something D & I talked about when we when on a whole family vacation back about 4 years ago. We were in far northern CA - the moutains up close to the Oregon border. We were driving to the camp area to meet the fam and I was looking around and said to D, "Why no skiing?" because it looked like it could be an OK ski area, yet there were no lifts. D thought I said "Wino skiing!" and was VERY confuzzled. Partially because it was 90, but also because he didn't know how I could tell. :rotfl:

:woohoo: Love the update!

Hot Italian Guys...I'll definitely be waiting for the next update!!! :hyper:

I can just picture the little gecko's running thru the village! :lmao:
And because I know you're dying to know.............I'm a tiger, grrrr!

receive their thingie (official name for it I think)
Well that's what I call them so it must be right :snooty: :rotfl2:

Ah ... you can see it is 4:40 pm at this time and our Garden Grill ADR is for 6:30 pm. Plenty of time to finish the rest of the countries, right?
Uh oh!!!!!

but not before they took down a poor innocent village boy. See him knocked out on the left.
:rotfl2:

DM what does it say in your new siggie photo?

OH and Jo, I know that you know that I know I'm really your bestest DIS friend. Oh wait, I meant IRL bestest friend. :rotfl2:
Of course :rotfl2:

Hmm.....we are full of cliches here in the mountains. Still not sure why we say "there's more than one way to skin a cat" Who would do that???
We say that too, I think you all pinched all our sayings you know :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

P1000960.jpg

This display is so cool, I would love to have one in my backyard

The CM even wrote each of the kid’s names in Chinese on the back of the mask.

That's pretty cool!

We finally found the Kidcot station after entering the wine cellar. No it wasn't in the wine cellar.

That would've been great! Having a Kidcot where people were getting drunk! Heck, the parents could get drunk while making masks with their kids!

I, however, got the biggest kick out of watching the geckos (or whatever they are) running through the miniature village. I kept thinking of Godzilla. Wish I thought to get it on video. I did get a picture but them sneaky geckos made a disappearing act when I snapped the pic ... but not before they took down a poor innocent village boy. See him knocked out on the left.

Hilarious! I'm gonna go look at this next time and think of you!

Hi DM, you finally made it to my home country!! I am really sorry that German "wine farmers" (that's what they are called here) decided to market only the really bad German wines abroad! I never understood that, I would never buy German wine outside Germany, while the stuff you get here can be pretty amazing!!

And sorry for the trains not running! I think they are a great little attraction, very German!

Nice pics, and update DM! The first time we brought the boys to Epcot (i think 2003) we found a hidden mickey in one of the windows of that large building (in the model train area). Unfortunately, by the time we thought to look again (2005) it was gone.

Don't know if they put another in the area....

Looking forward to the Italian guys!

Mel:love:

I can't believe I missed the train setup in Germany!:scared1: It looks really neat, I will have to make a note of it for next time.

Well, that explains the new year thing!

And funny wino story too! :rotfl2:

We say that too, I think you all pinched all our sayings you know :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
Probably so--particularly given that the whole area here is of Scotch/Irish/English descent. (But I don't say "pinched"......unless someone is "pinching" her sis OR I am "penny pinching" today! :thumbsup2

So.....have we seen any Italians today?? Cause I gotta go to a high school variety show soon---and there won't be any there!

Great update, DM!:thumbsup2

Thats awful that the trains weren't running. My kids love them.:goodvibes

Looking forward to Italy...popcorn::
