Why did MDE let me book FP well before 60 days?

I have tickets that are not date based. I was able to make FP for May 13. I made 1 for illuminations because we will not arrive until evening. I then canceled it because we really aren’t going into the parks until May 14. Now I can’t see past the next 30 days. Wish I had looked at what’s available at AK. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get lucky.
Have you tried logging in and out? That's been the trick for me. There's times I log in and I don't get the extended window but after a few times of logging in I'm able to book in during my stay in May.

Got FOP for 9:40 on May 14. Not going to push my luck scheduling anything else. It shows up in my plans. I hope it stays there!

I was able to book early. I woke up this morning to emails from Disney saying the fastpasses will be deleted tomorrow if I don’t add eligible tickets so we shall see. My stay starts May 7.

same here. I am and AP holder and have a stay for the date of the FPs

Hmm I haven't received an email. My stay starts May 4th. I booked FP for May 5-9. I don't really understand the email. We all have eligible tickets. The issue is with the hotel stay dates.

Did you two check your MDX FP booking windows? Are the windows still ‘open’ leading to your actual 60-day window for your legit stay?

I did not receive an email, my extra-long booking window is still open for the 4 Comp tickets that were gifted to me and used at DLand in October!

I wouldn’t worry because you do have valid Resort reservations and actual, valid tickets. :-)

When was your FP booking window supposed to open?

Our family is staying at POP from May 12-15th. I bought 2 date specific park hopper tickets (May 13 and 14th). Last night I was able to make fast passes for Monday and this morning I was able to make fast passes for the 14th. My fast passes that I had made last night are still listed in my plans. My 60 day window is March 13th

So at least, if they DO end up cancelling them, you should still get your normal 60-day window in a few days.
I don't know if this means anything, but when the calendar opened up it was only highlighted blue on the two days in which we will be in the parks. No other options were given and I could only make the fast passes one day at time. I had to wait until this morning to make them for our second day in the park.

It means the window opened correctly for your “date-based tickets.”

Disney has given “Select” guests an open rolling window. It’s what some refer to as a Split Stay/Leading Reservation which was a legit loophole.

Now that Disney has mistakingly given this now not-legit loophole to “Select” guests, it’s freely being used.

Thank you. So not everyone that has date-based tickets is selected? I guess I am still a little confused and feel as though I did something wrong.

Not everyone is experiencing this rolling window glitch.

You didn’t do anything wrong. A Resort Stay activates the opening of the booking window + linked valid tickets allows you to book FPs. You are enjoying the rewards of Disney’s glitch. :goodvibes

Thank you for clearing that up. Much appreciated.

I have Canadian resident tickets for my split stay from May 4-15, I was able to book FPs for every day from May 5-May 14, they are appearing in MDE as they would in a normal booking situation.

Indeed it is!

To be clear, I will not complain if Disney catches this and cancels my FP's as long as they do so before my 60-day window. If they do that AFTER my 60-day window, I'll be mad as heck. That's been my only concern with all of this.

I didn't try to book the 15th as we have a 7am flight, but when I was booking the other days the 15th was highlighted on the calendar, so I might have been able to.
