:rolleyes1 Tooo much caffeine this morning.

Shelly---- don't forget your Sudafed and your Excedrin!

And just how much coffee have you had this morning??? :rolleyes1:laughing:

I sure won't forget my Sudafed & Excedrin for the airplane!! It worked great last year, no migraine on arrival day! :thumbsup2 I forget though, which one do I take first?

:lmao:
So far I've had two double espressos and an Excedrin.:cool1::cool1:

Too much obviously.:cutie:

Take the Sudafed- 1 hour before the flt. Make sure it's the 12 hr one you have to get from the old pharmacist dude.:lmao:
1 Excedrin just as you're getting on the plane with ONE Mtn Dew or a coke- no more than that.
Water water water -- lots of water all before, during and after the flt, all day long.
Take another Excedrin 4 hrs after the first if you feel funny in the head at all.
You should be okay doing it that way and still sleeping that night. Esp with the help of some Simply Sleep.

What can I say? I believe in the power of a little help.:lmao:

Oh yeah- and make sure you eat something before taking that junk. If you don't you'll end up with Gastroenteritis. Not fun on vacation.

Okay, now I remember what I did last time. I took the Sudafed (yes, the kind I got from old dude) when we got to the airport. Then the Excedrin on the plane. And had a Mtn. Dew as soon as we landed. And paid like $2.95 for a 20oz bottle at MCO. :scared1: Well worth it though. :thumbsup2

Yeah, that could be a problem. There's no way I'm eating that early in the morning.

Could you eat a half of a bagel? How about some chocolate milk? Anything to coat your tummy.

Maybe I'll try to eat something small at the airport...

I usually don't eat until lunchtime. Next week at this time I will be having lunch at WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Packing update!

Belle's dresses are on the hangers------lying on my bed NEXT to her duffel!! They're close!!:lmao:

Good Morning! Well, at least for about 45 minutes in my time zone. :guilty:

Shelly - those weather forecasts are crazy! :upsidedow AccuWeather has Aug. 28 being warmer with brilliant sunshine and MSN shows TStorms. "Brilliant sunshine"???? I don't think I've ever seen that on a forecast! That's kind of going out on a limb. ;) We're not talking the Sahara Desert here.

I'm a little worried about TS Greg. DH has a brother named Greg, and if anyone can cause trouble, it's a Greg. :scared1: Don't you just love my scientific reasoning? But Jo, I don't think you need my help or the spells from any Swamp People to cast on the hurricanes. It sounds like you have some pretty good potions of your own! That's a pretty good migraine whammy you have there!

Jo - Lala reminded me of something I've been meaning to ask you. How are your kids' schools with them missing so close to the beginning of the year? They don't give you any grief? Do they have to bring work to do on the trip?

I cannot believe the number of pool crashers at the Poly! I think it's a great idea for the wristbands and totally necessary if it has gotten to that point.

Hey Teri! :goodvibes Glad you're here. I was beginning to think Jodi and I were going to be the only ones around! :rotfl:

Yes, I'm not really caring for the accuweather forecast right now. Brilliant sunshine. Good grief. It's going to be interesting. I hope Greg doesn't cause any trouble!!:wizard:

Good Morning Teri!!!

When I think of Greg I think of Greg Brady and he was harmless with that afro, so I think it's all gonna be ok. :rotfl2:

As far as the kids schools.....
:confused3

MC came home freaking out yesterday saying that the High school changed attendance policies this year so that all absences are just absences-- there's no medical excused or unexcused anymore. And you can't miss more than 8 or you may lose the course credit.
Well, with her block schedule......... :scared1:  :headache: She's gonna be close. Her Dad said they can suck it-- if they give us grief we'll pull her and send her to a private school.

I mean really? So if a kid gets the flu and misses a week of class, they're gonna fail them?

Dumb.
She is in all AP classes and that's just stupid with her being a responsible A-B student, and honestly, I'm tired of people telling me what I can and can't do with my child that I carried for 9 months AND birthed and financially support.

:scared1:

:lmao:

Drew's school will probably give me grief- who knows. Belle's school- I went last nite and they said that until the last week of Sept it's gonna be all review stuff. So I think she'll be fine.

Let them put me before a court. I'll just make sure I have PMS that day.;)

Hi Shelly & Jo!

Congrats on 7 days Shelly! :cool1::cool1:

Jo, I am very impressed that the dresses got so close to the duffel bag today. ;)

I am leaving in about 2 hours to head down to DLR and the D23 Expo that starts today for the next three days. You can follow me on twitter to see all the neat stuff at the Disney fan expo: www.twitter.com/tommypix

My wife and boys are there now and they said it is "manic". :lmao: Lot's of crazy Disney fans!

Sea :cool1:

Hi Sea! I was wondering if you'd gotten to the Expo yet! I can't wait to hear all about the craziness!!!!!:cool1:

Have a fun weekend!!!

Oh my gosh Jo!! :scared1: 8 days? I can't believe that. I think ours is like 15 or something and you get a warning and at 20 the school has to take action. But 8? That is crazy!!

I'm so glad our school allows up to 10 days of "excused educational days". It's just the make-up work that is so rough. That's why we are going in the summer this time. Something (weather forecast) tells me that next year we may go back to pulling them out again!!

I hope Drew & MC don't have a hard time when they get back. :wizard:

Oh Lordy, maybe I should have waited until after your caffeine wore off to ask that question!

Poor you, dealing with 3 schools/policies. At least Belles' school is more reasonable - or maybe they're just afraaaiiiid of you! ;)

On our trip in 2001, we went during Mardi Gras week. DD's high school had the whole week off, but DS's school just had Monday and Tuesday off, so we had to take him out for the other 3 days. I think he brought a little work to do, but I don't think much got done. I think the schools here aren't too hard on absences during Mardi Gras week, because it's pretty common, but they are pretty strict otherwise. They were both in private schools. I think the public schools would have been easier.

I know-- 8 days is stupid!!! I mean, come on. I can understand that they need the kids to be in school. I get it. But to punish kids who are absent for 8 days (And usually it's b/c of the flu or something!) is ridiculous.

I am already planning my argument---- the risk of spreading the flu and other contagious viruses b/c the kids "HAVE" to be in school or else they'll fail????

I already went thru that once with Drew and the standardized testing when he was in 2nd grade. They told us to send in the kids even if they were sick!!!! So what happens? The little girl next to him during the test puked all over the place and of course 12 hrs later, Drew was throwing up. The mom said she knew her kid was sick but had to send the kid b/c of what the Principal had said!!! Yeah, they didn't like me too much that day.

They had better not mess with me, and I am serious as a heart attack when I say it won't be pretty.

Esp if Mark gets in on it.

U-G-L-Y.

But thanks.:lmao::lmao::lmao: I hope the kids will be okay.

If there ever was a reason to move back to PGH- the excused educational days might be it.

Oh and to be near you of course!

Gurl----- Caffeine is one thing. Caffeine while having PMS is another thing all together. That doesn't wear off as easily.:rotfl2:

I could see that Mardi Gras week would be forgiven! Maybe I need to move there instead of back to PGH. At least it's warmer there.:lmao:
