Who's getting points for Christmas?

As long as you are still in your 2009 UY you should receive 2009 points. An exception would be VGC if you didn't receive your points until 2010.

No, that's not correct. As long as you sign before the start of your 2010 UY you would get the 2009 pts if they are available. There isn't a Jan UY so no one is affected by that. And since it was promoted as a definite in the webcast that should be no problem with getting the points. You should contact your guide on or before Jan 2nd if you want the webcast deal. And, if you sign in the new year then there won't be any prorating for 2009 dues b/c those are on a calendar year - not UY.

They really promoted the 2009 points in the webcast but it's pretty much the normal thing during any add on to get the points of the current UY - ie, in this case, 2009. The little trick is to do it after the end of the calendar year so you can essentially get a free year of points.

We just added 50BLT points on in OCT at $107pp (before the price went up)--can I count that as an early Christmas pressie? Our original plan was to do 100BLT in Jan2010, but then they announced that they would bump the price up--We went to the Doorway to Dreams on LI for the grand opening, but they didn't really offer any sterling deals--so, the 50 points, 3 months early was the compromise....

( Now, the webcast price (for 50pts) would be $115pp and I can't bring myself to pay that just yet... Maybe next Christmas--though they will probably move the price up again by then.... )

I wish I was getting more points. We can't afford any more but we would love them. If we did have the money DH would probably want to hold out for Hawaii.

My mother (karensi) purchased resale 300 SSR points for my dh, me and our two kids in October (her only stipulation is that she always comes with us and stays in the master bedroom...we are going end of August and booked a GV for the 5 of us).
Anyway, my mother keeps asking the same question as your husband LOL

Even though my dh and I keep telling her we have enough, she informed me the other day she wants to add another 100 and asked me to be on the lookout for resale, about 100 (a little more will be ok) and same U/Y.
Then I said well it will be another Christmas present (I already know what she is giving dh and me) and although she said no I'm going with another Christmas present.

We would really like to add some BLT points to go along with our current BCV points. The original plan was to add on more BCV but after staying at BLT we would like to have home resort priority with both. Sure wish we had made that decision before the price increase.

I had to read DH your story...he smiled...you're lucky, you have a great DM, and a family that does well traveling together. That's not a "given" and is a real blessing.

I don't know what's in your DM's mind, but we're DGP and we want to use the points, now, or when/while we can with the people we love for as long as we can. These points have been a great investment in family time and are as dear to us as our Cape May home.

Merry Christmas to us! We added 50 pts at BLT (had 160 points) in early December. We cruised a few weeks ago, and that cruise was our Christmas gift for the four of us, along with the BLT points, of course. My teenagers don't quite "get it" yet--no gifts to open at Christmas??? But those extra points will be great for our family and later, for their families. The memories are priceless and will last longer than a new Wii game or whatever else they would have received this year!
