SO much for all the great snow we were supposed to get today!!? It flurried this AM, but that was it! The roads were clear at noon and stayed clear!

First reports were showing 16-18" of snow tonight into tomorrow, now we are only supposed to get about 6" TOTAL! We had that this morning! Oh well, so much for a great winter storm to start the new year...

As usual, the weather people were wrong, way wrong, again! Its just a matter of time...

How come we couldn't have gotten some of that snow? Newport's Winter Carnival starts on Tuesday and we could have really used it.

We had such great weather this weekend! Even up here in the north part of the state it was T shirt weather! Raked the last of my snow piles so they would melt more quickly. Opened the windows and got some fresh air into the house. Hoping the nice weather isn't Mother Nature playing a joke on us! April blizzards are not unheard of!

I know, I'm thinking the same thing - it would really be horrible if we got a spring snowstorm. I think I might just go bonkers! My DH keeps telling me I made a mistake bringing up all of my spring/summer clothes from storage.

Hi from sunny, but windy Newpot. On vacation this week and getting ready for our yard sale. "Wow" I got a lot of stuff. Hope it all sells so I can add to my "DISNEY CRUISE" fund.

It is still windy out there and the smoke doesn't seem to be as bad as it was this morning. I hope and pray that those fires in Canada get under control. I heard that there are some firefighters from N.H. up there helping out.

Yes, the smoke from Quebec is much better, but we're having a HUGE fire here in Barre, Vermont right now that they're having a hard time controlling and we've got so much smoke from that filling the air. Sad, because it was a beautiful old building right in downtown Barre.

The fire department just ruled that the fire downtown was intentionally set. Arson in our small town! Makes me so MAD!!!!

We haven't seen anything yet that they had caught anyone. I hope when they do that they punish them HARD! It's so sad to drive by and see it as a shell.

Yes, the mayor had just bought it and the city was going to turn it into offices and shops. I think it was someone who has a grudge against the mayor because he's done a lot to try to clean up Barre by going after the drug dealers in town with a pretty heavy hand. He's pretty tough though and has said that after a 20 minute pity party, he was ready to swing into action again.
