I'm going to be a NH resident (actually I'll be splitting my time between NJ and NH) very soon, closing on my new house is next Friday

I haven't encountered crowds in any stores I've been to this weekend in the Merrimack/ Nashua area. Of course, I haven't gone near any of the malls.

Anyone else in NH loose power yesterday from the high winds? Thankfully we were only out for about 2 hours.

I didn't loose any power at my house in Merrimack, but I did hear that at least some of Merrimack lost power.

I went to Walmart in Amherest yesterday and to be honest it seemed less crowded than usual.

Just saw this message... I married a man in the Navy, so I am currently in WA state... but I will always be from NH! I grew up in Salem, my big move was at age 6 from one end of town to the other... I need to get back there, haven't been in about 4 yrs.

I used to live in Washington State in Silverdale and Tacoma and now I live in Concord, NH!

how about this weather? I left for work this morning and it was already 60 degrees. I have about a 45 minute commute to Burlington, MA and by the time i arrived the thermometer in my car was reading 66.

Hi from Newport. We got our first snow fall yeaterday. DH measured about 4" on our deck. I don't do winter. I have to admit that it was pretty.

I have a request to all of you. My daughter and her family are on their way home from WDW. They are driving. Please send good thoughts and prayers that they have a safe trip.

I guess you never stop being a mom.

I was glad it was a snow day today!! AN unexpected day off is always nice. Kids had a blast out doors, DH is now off plowing and I am wondering when I can put the kids to bed!!?? My human tornados went behind me just as fast as I cleaned today.. I am ready for some peace and quiet!

I like snow... until about February anyway. A few good weeks of skiing and then after February vacation I am ready for a switch to be flipped and Spring to come in! I find that the older I get the less and less I like the snow and cold. Old age I guess... Looks like we are in for a doozie of a snow storm this weekend. We will know for sure Tuesday.

It is still snowing up here in ski country. Nothing heavy but it is accumulating. My daughter just left for work at Mt. Attitash and is expecting a busy day. They were really busy yesterday! I am tired of the snow already. Very much looking forward to my Florida trip next week!

Have fun!! I hope the temps warm up for you down there! Was 75' at my inlaws last week... no matter what - its still a heck of a lot warmer than it is here! 80' or so to be exact... Have fun! Sock up some rays for us!!

I just saw this thread for the first time today.
I am not from New Hampshire, but I am from California. But I have lived in New England sine 2003, and I just moved into Hudson back in October.
Also, I didn't have to leave the house today, so the snow was beautiful!
