This is going to come as a real shock to some of you there is no list of "people that don't want tags". I can pretty well assure you there isn't going to be one either. Anybody can remove a tag fairy tag they don't like simply by editing it. Since someone that used to be a moderator would be well aware of that I'm not really sure why we are making a mountain out of this molehill.

Because everybody likes the person that used to be the moderator and the person who first responded who is currently a moderator responded with a pretty condescending, "un-DIS-like" response.

As far as there not being a "list"...n any institution or group (which I guess the DIS can qualify for), someone is always keeping a "list"...sometimes a mental list, but a list nontheless. It's a fairly well-documented phenomena of leader/group mentality.

It was a bit of a bruhaha. The TF gave him a tag. Dan deleted it and made it known that he did not want a tag. The TF gave him another one, and another, and another on... Each new tag was deleted, but the TF just would not stop. It went on for awhile.

I have no idea why the TF would continue after being asked to stop.

Dan isn't the only one who could care less about tags. I deleted the ones I had a bit ago

Dan doesn't want a tag. Dan has been around awhile. I"m sure the Tag Fairies and Mods have seem him, and they should respect his wishes... This is a Family FRIENDLY site... He's one man...MANY others REQUEST tags.. .leave him tagless

Kind of OT, but I just wanted to say that Dan Murphy has always been one of the shining lights of the DIS to me. He always seems to be someone who responds to DIS'ers cries for help on the Tech Support Forum & has helped my non-computer-geek-self over the years with a few computer issues.

Coming back because I have a question. There seems to be some confusion of just how long this went on for. Did the TF change it once and the Dan complained or was it back and forth, back and forth. I'm talking this time, nothing in the past.

Dan is not someone who would be easily riled, so whatever was done must have been way out of line. It's a bit disturbing that someone with access would step over the line.

I agree with Disney Doll. I have read some really rude remarks you have made to Dan on the Tech board, WMKathy. I think you, as a webmaster, should be nicer to the posters around here.

Telling someone "they need a nap" is condescending, rude and probably crosses the sarcasm line. I would think you all in charge should set good examples for other posters.

All I can say is WOW!!! I had to check my calendar - nope it's July, not April. The full moon doesn't come for another couple days.

That's the point. It is the harrassment just for "fun". It isn't about how big of a deal tags are. And people want tags, beg for tags...so go tag them. There may not be a "list" but know for darn sure all the powers know who Dan is and know he doesn't like tags.
