Who will be watching Emily Maynard the Bachelorette? No Spoilers PLEASE

But his parents weren't there. I think if they had been there, I could see it being discussed, especially if they're that into it. Different religions aren't that big a deal, unless people are strong practitioners. Like, if Katie Holmes was The Bachelorette and brought Tom Cruise home. I think the producers would LOVE it! ;)

Oh man! That would be ratings gold! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I think the brother did bring it up. He said he had to step up into the parental role as the parents weren't there. Mormonism is about strong practitioners. (I think.)

In all my daydreams as a tween, of marrying Donny Osmond, I knew all his brothers & sister would grill me on if I was ready & willing to become a Mormon and what that involved - drinking milk instead of Coke. :lmao: I was ready to make the sacrifice for Donny! :rotfl2:

Now THAT's luuuvvvv!

My DD, the stinker, just texted me "I know who wins The Bachelorette." She didn't tell me who, and I figure it's out there and I could find out if I wanted to, but it just kills me to know SHE knows and I can just ask her the question. But I won't. Because I don't want to know. But I do! Except I want it to be Sean, and if it isn't, I'll be disappointed. So do I let her tell me now, and risk disappointment now, or drag it on until he gets the boot? Or find out now that it IS Sean and miss the thrill of the moment in the finale? Stinker.

 Wow! Well, well. So Arie has been a job in the TV spotlight, and this show has certainly highlighted him on TV quite a bit. His randomly deciding to be on the show is becoming less & less about finding the right gal, to finding more TV exposure. :scratchin

His TV job isn't really much though. It's an hour on NBC Sports Network every Thursday after an Indy Lights (one of INDYCAR's feeder series) race. He's in the TV booth a commentator. Other than that he drives the INDYCAR two-seater and gives fans (and celebs) rides around whatever track or racecourse they are at.

The information is out there, and readily available. If you REALLY want to know. Personally, I love knowing....it makes this ridiculous show more interesting to me as you see how the producers "play" the audience. LOL!

 Talk about parental abuse. If you see her tomorrow, she will probably lord it over you the whole day, and the rest of the episodes.

I feel like if Emily picks anyone but Arie, it won't last. She's too attached to the racing world. I also can't see her moving to be with the guy who she picks. She kind of has to keep Ricki close to Charlotte since that's where here grandparents are, and all of the grandkids live in town. Ricki's grandparents can kind of make sure it doesn't happen either, because Emily's house is actually Ricki's in a trust, and they support Emily's current lifestyle 100%. So I just don't see any relationship working unless THEY move.
And she is use to traveling a ton with Ricky. She mentioned going to the race every weekend. Tons of drivers do it all the time. Plus Arie would fit right in with her extended family.

i have been watching and i don't have a clue who is going to win last year it was much more easy to know who was going to win!

I was also thinking that Emily isn't going to be the one moving. OR, that she'd keep the house in Charlotte, which would be a second home for them.

I didn't know about the trust for Rikki. That makes sense. :thumbsup2

You're right, on all counts! I do not want Arie, but I have a feeling it will be him. :sad2:

Right. As I said in my PP, I can find out if I wanted to on the Internet. The thing is having my DD know and having her so available to tell me, sitting right next to me. See? Not a big deal...just sort of a fun (maybe not!) situation.

Good points. I don't feel like she has the most chemistry with Arie and I personally can't stand him, especially after his hometown date and all those sloppy kisses. But he would fit seamslessly into her's and Ricki's life. But, well, I find him icky.

You raise good points though, Emily clearly won't be the one moving. So which of these guys seems most likely to? Jef seems free spirited and probably wouldn't mind, though I wonder where his business is based? He seems like the take a leap of faith type.

Sean, he doesn't seem as ready to follow Emily IMO. Much as I like him, and believe me I do:cloud9:, he still seems kind of guarded a bit. He acts more carefully, more thoughtful over his decisions so I wonder if he'd make the move to Charlotte?

I don't see Emily moving either, not for a very very long time. In the beginning, "they" (she and whoever the other half is) can commute, and that can present some major issues in relationships. I don't see anyone giving up their living arrangement immediately and permanently...that would just be stupid. (OK, I'm trying to apply logic and good sense to a show that does speed dating with 25 men with a proposal at the end...bear with me).

The more I see and hear about Arie, the less I like him, so I'm just going to eliminate him from the equation.

Jef seems very tied to his family and that land and his company. The company might be able to move, but leaving Utah, his family and their 100+ acres? I just don't see it happening. And I don't see Emily going off into the middle of nowhere (as it appears on the show...I supposed there could be a mall right down the road!), with her daughter, away from family and a support network. However, Jef seems like he'd be a good playdate for Ricki...she can have her little friends over to meet The Bieb. ;)

Even tho I have an obvious alliance to Sean  (I may have mentioned that once or twice...ahem), I do believe anyway that as an insurance salesmen, he'd be the most able to relocate, no? :confused3 He's obviously not as adventurous as Jef, but I'll give him a break since working on that bod must take some time.

for once, i have not looked at spoilers. but i have a feeling i'm going to be disappointed.

i don't have a real reason to dislike Arie--there's just something about him that rubs me wrong. but i also agree that he'd probably best fit into her lifestyle.

It was owned by Ricky before he died. Its now owned by Ricky's sister (Rickis Aunt), in a trust for her. <All found on public records>.
Emily did put it up for sale once, and moved to TN, but that is still pretty close to Charlotte.
Also all the tabloids saying she isn't talking to the Hendricks I don't buy. Ricki was recently at a race, and in victory lane

I don't concern myself with who's moving... how many have made it that far? It takes a truly secure person to get thru the weeks they keep them apart, so I wonder who will make it thru that.

I didn't check the spoilers for the same reason. I don't really LOVE anyone or HATE anyone, I just find Arie (and his NAME ) yukky and and Jef looks like he just got out of diapers. I'm a cougar but not a pedophile. And the cougar in me likes Sean.:thumbsup2

This is my take on the final 3...

Arie, while they share a similar thread (racing) and Emily feels comfortable there, like Arie's mom said, her husband is gone most of the time. I don't think that is what Emily is looking for. She wants someone who can step in and be a dad to Rickie and a husband and a father to future kids....racing will impeade that. (i dated a racecare driver and racing always came 1st as it was bread and butter, but it meant long weekends away).

Sean, he has the stability of someone who can be there more often (home nights ans weekends) but how much, as an insurance salesman can he make? It seems as if Emily likes the finer things (her house is huge for 2 ppl, she is dressed nicely, grated that is provided by the show, and she is a SAHM who basically lives off of Ricky's parents..jsut assumign there, but how else could she not work and be a soccer mom?) I just don't see them working out as he doesn't seem to have a disposable income.

Jef, has money and stability. He seems young at heart, but is always thinking of Rickie (the puppet doll he went back for) and I think Emily notices that. He has the income that Sean doesn't, the nice family that Arie doesn't.

That's my 0.02!

I also think Emily wants a hubby who will be around. She already raised one child alone and that was a lot, with or without being healthily financed. I can see her really resenting her hubby being away while she's got 4-5 kids she's basically raising alone. She also doesn't want a wimp for a DH. Arie seems wimpy.

I know she told Arie that his being away is okay, because she likes being alone a lot & she's used to it. But, that's the kind of rationalization one says when they are trying to make things okay with someone they really like. Don't ask how I know. :rolleyes1 Other times she's talked, it doesn't seem she wants to be alone thatmuch. She even asked his mom about it, it was such a concern. Then tried to make it okay, since the mom had made it work.

I also don't see her uprooting 4-5 kids every weekend just to travel with Arie.

I think Jef would be perfect for her 3 years from now. But, Emily's made it clear that she really doesn't want Rikki to be so old age-wise that she won't be close to her siblings. She wants to start a family as soon as all the dust settles and everyone, especially Rikki, is adjusted to it all. that means Rikki could be 7 or 8 when her first sibling is born. And 9 or 10 when another is born.

While I thought it was great to see Sean & his dad playing those jokes on Emily and obviously hamming it up for the camera. They obviously knew this was a "typical" bringing the GF home to meet the parents. A PP from TX said something along the lines, of I know his type and WHY he is still available to this day. It started making me wonder, just how MANY of these practical jokes does Sean do in a day? And is it just all in fun, or is there a streak of emotional immaturity in him? A couple jokes here and there, she can be a good sport about. But, will Emily, one day be saying, "Will you just grow up? Enough with the jokes already! I didn't know I'd have another kid, with all the joking and insensitivity to my feelings & how uncomfortable they make me?" :headache:

It's a toss up right now, which guy she will pick. But, I don't think any of the three are really fully right for her.

...I look at it this way:

Before Ricki's dad passed, it was common for him to leave for those long weekends, so I'm thinking that Emily was kinda used to that life. Also, she's been 'on-her-own' with Ricky for so long, I think that she might welcome having her man gone for a couple of days at a time....

Hi, all. I don't like to know who "wins", because the one time I did know, the show wasn't as fun to watch, just mho.

I think she has fallen for Arie. He is my least fav of the 3 left, but I think she had feelings for him earlier than the other 2 and Jef and Sean could not "catch up". It is just the look in her eyes when she is w Arie. I think he is arrogant, but then, Emily did fall for Brad!!!!:confused3

If she chooses with "Emily" in mind, then I think hands-down Arie is her man. He seems to be the one she is the most attracted to and is very familiar/comfortable with the lifestyle he lives. However, his mother is atrocious. I wouldn't want that woman to be my daughter's grandmother. "Hey, let's go visit Grandma today!" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Mommy!"

If she chooses with "Ricki" in mind, then I think Jef and his family and lifestyle have the most to offer her daughter. She also seems to be very close to him, but more in a friendly way rather than the attraction she has with Arie.

I'm afraid I see Sean as the third wheel at this point. Yes, he's gorgeous, and that kiss !!!! :drive: But I am just not seeing the bond when they're together.

Arie has it for physical attraction.

Jef is the one that has the best friendly companionship.

I'm not sure what Sean has?
