I agree. I used to think a Powell/Rice ticket would be a sure thing, but I'm not so convinced anymore. I'd still vote for Powell though, but we know he has absolutely no interest whatsoever. Condi has said the same thing time and time again.

Please don't read my reply as an attack on spelling because I think that's about as immature as you can get when you become the spelling police, but why do so many people spell Hillary, Hilary? I see this all the time on this board and maybe it is Hilary, but everything I've always read on the various sites it was spelled, Hillary. I'm really just wondering. I'm certainly not nit picking and am capable of understanding the intent no matter which spelling you use.

Condoleeza... uh NOT!!!!! And not because she's a puppet. She has ZERO appeal and believe me, she doesn't have universal support.

Obama would have a chance if his name was Steve Williams. The name game is a big one with me. It's why I named my child MICHAEL.

I don't think it'll happen soon but hope it happens during my son's life. Too much hate and too little unity in this generation.

Condi Rice is no more than a mouth piece for the Bush Administration. I would have voted for her about 5 years ago - no way do I feel that she is qualified now.

Don't know if any of you have seen her cousin, Constance Rice - a much, much better spoken woman with remarkable stats. I'd vote for her in a heartbeat if she was ever in the running:

I would love to see Condi run but she has said repeatedly that she has no interest in the presidency. Given that, I think that Barak Obama has a better shot at securing the democratic nomination than Hillary Clinton does. In fact, if I were Hillary I would be very worried. Whether he could go farther, depends on how much he could move to the center.

Now honestly, when one is National Security Advisor and then becomes Secretary of State for the administration, do you REALLY expect her to put forth her own personal views? She is doing her job.

Most people with the name of Hilary spell it will one L. Her spelling is the exception.

In a word, yes. When she - or anyone in her positions - sees the administration doing a horrible job with National Security and Foreign Affairs, I expect her to speak up and do something about it, not just sit back and watch as mistake after mistake is made. Her job isn't to be a cheerleader for GWB. Her job is to protect the national security of the US. Her job is to conduct effective foreign policy for the US.

Instead, she lied to the American people about the intelligence in order to support the Iraq War, and has tirelessly supported bad foreign policy after bad foreign policy.

Note - If anyone out there has trouble with Senator Clinton's first name, just spell it S-e-n-a-t-o-r C-l-i-n-t-o-n. Much easier that way. And if you are posting to say it would be horrible if she were elected president, I'd love to hear what would be so bad about her, other than she is a powerful woman who dares speak her mind.
