Who was your salesperson?

Humberto Santos.

Well, I haven't seen anyone mention his name. Has anyone had him as a guide recently? I think he spends a lot of his time on DCL. DH and I haven't been overly impressed. We essentially walked up to the desk on the Magic and made an appointment "to buy DVC". We met with Bert and bought 250 pts. on the spot -- the only issue we were considering was number of points -- we could choose between HH, VB and DVC and wanted on-site so we did BCV. We had no choice on use year. We had a number of friends who were members already, so he didn't have to explain anything. When we asked about getting some baseball hats or something as an incentive (our friends had gotten all sorts of freebies), he said to us he had more cruisers that wanted to meet with him than he could possibly schedule, so if we didn't want to buy then and there, there was someone else waiting to see him. The thing is he was soo nice and so polite and not pushy so it was hard to even be upset about him not even caring whether we bought or not.

Fast forward to Thanksgiving 2002 at HH (first DVC trip) -- we picked up the phone and tried to add on 100 HH points but he said they didn't have our use year and we added on at BCV instead. He never mentioned a waitlist or the resale market, but why should he, right?

Besides these two encounters (and a few calls about an unpaid referral fee that was ultimately resolved), we have never heard from him. Never to ask how we liked it, did we want more points, to tell us about getting on a list for HH, to see if we were interested in SSR. Nothing. He sold 350 points with no effort at all whatsoever. All our friends have urged us to change to any of their guides. So far we haven't needed any assistance, so we have no idea how good he would be if we needed something. But, when we are ready to buy more points, we will probably change guides.

Marc Turner is our guide. We've only met/talked with him once - two years ago when we had our first DVC presentation. Last year, when we went down with intentions to buy, we made an appt. with him; but when we got there we were told that it was his day off. A very nice lady, whom I can't remember her name, actually sold us on DVC and we bought on the spot. We've not heard from Marc Turner since then. You'd thought he would have at least called and thanked us for the sale since he got the commission.

What about Bruce Douglas? He is the best sales person I have ever meet in my entire life. He is very outgoing and has tremendous people skills. He is very low pressure and always calls back on time and even calls when we are on vacation just to welcome us home.I as so suprised that his name was not mentioned yet on this thread. I just wish every sales person was as good as Bruce. He gets two big thumbs up from me.::yes::

Julie Hughes

She is very nice. We felt like she was helping us with the process instead of trying to sell us something.

Another vote for Julie Hughes - she's great.

Humberto Santos

I haven't seen Humberto's name mentioned to much either.

He is the best. Very helpful and friendly!

We have Suzie Farnsworth and she has been great she sends us a note about every 3 months and is always there for us if we need anything or have any questions and doens't hesitate to call us back if we call her. Our first guide was David Summerau(sp) we toured with him in 98 but he left DVC before we went through with the purchase and Suzie took over all of his contacts.

Jenna Cornell has given us very good sevice thru a contract and several add-ons.

ralphd:D :D :D :D

We didn't find him to be at all pushy. He presented the facts and let us make our own decision. I think he did a great job. He always answered our questions and calls very quickly.

We had Diane Henry. She is so bubbly and fun! She was great to work with!!:wave2:

I think I've read all nine pages here and don't think I've seen my guide's name.

Hassan Jahanmiry (sp?) is his name. Very pleasant chap, handled our purchase in 2001 with professionalism and returned calls promptly.

Haven't heard from him since. And we don't really want or need contact with our guide until we decide to add-on. :)

Our guide back in 2002 was Bobby Corso. I haven't seen him mentioned here and I don't know if he is still with DVC. He was a super guy to work with. We had no pressure to buy or not. I don't think I've ever met anybody that was crazier for Disney. I think he would have pitched a tent and slept in the Magic Kingdom if he could have. LOL I would love to know if he is still around.

Scot MacDonald

I took a look and I believe I'm the first with this guide. He is very nice!

Byron:bounce: He was great! I got my BCV add on same day!

When DW and I toured OKW in Nov. '97 ($65/pt.!!!) we were given a great presentation by David Semrau. Nice fellow, but never heard from him again. Later requested more info from DVC and received the stuff from Bettie Pleasant. We were just dabbling and thinking about how nice it would be, but knew deep down that we really couldn't afford it.
When we were able to make that kind of financial commitment we were assigned Bernard Lebeaupin -- and we haven't regretted that one bit. If I call and leave a message, he'll call back ASAP -- even if he can't talk immediately, but to set up a time when he can call later on. I've talked to him about his own vacations in Canada; he asks about the family and I can't wait to meet him in January. Does MS let the guides know when their clients will be guests?
I think there are a few other Canucks with Bernard as their DVC guide.

Nick Tamberino and we've excellent service for 5 years. He is alway helpful and even when we purchased 2nd contract over the traditional add on process, he continues to give us great service. Our friends have taken our advice and been extremely please with his excellent customer service.

Chris Mansour's the best. We just bought from him in March at SSR and added on after we got home. He puts no pressure on you and looks at what number of points are good for you based on your vacation needs. Extremely knowledgeable and efficient! Thanks Chris!
