Who was your salesperson?

Another vote for Marshall Sutton. We had him at Vero Beach in '99 and loved him. Didn't know he had moved to BWV. We'll be there in June and will have to stop in and say hi!

::yes:: we had Michelle MacAlister. She was wonderful!! Never pushy, and always understood why one time or another, we had to say no, until this past oct. when we bought SSR sight unseen! For years DH wanted to join, but something always was more important financially!:(

when she called us in sept, and sent the package for SSR, we just looked at each other and said "LET`S DO IT"! "This is what we always wanted" She walked us through everything, and we`d recommend her Highly!!!

Gib McCain..... My first reaction was that he seemed like a "typical salesperson", and a bit impatient. But he seemed better as the conversation went on. He was helpful in getting us our first reservation, and also in following-through on things for us. He didn't try pusing me into taking more points when I was wavering between 160 and 170 points, which I appreciated.

(I see this post is from awhile back--don't know if you're still checking replies or not?!?)

Have you decided to keep your guide? If so, hopefully you like him/her better now!

Tony Heard was our salesperson. We liked him a lot, I guess thats why we bought. No pressure and very informitive.

Our salesperson is Kelly Jo Williamson. She is great, I cant say enough good about our experience with her!

Doug Rapp was our salesman and he was GREAT! No pressure, lots of knowledge and a very likeable man. Always called no matter how many stupid questions I had. I can't believe the number of salespeople they must have by the size of this post! And it seems that "no pressure" must be the Disney way. I have been to other time share presentation and you know the method is Pressure, Pressure, Pressure - but I always say no because there must be something wrong with it if you won't let me think about it first! Disney never pressures us to buy and then after I am able to think about it, I buy over the phone - so easy! Thanks Doug!

88888888888 is ours! I think he is great he wasn't a hard sell and put up with my insanity for almost 6 months while I did all the calculations LOL. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECCOMMEND HIM HE IS AWESOME!

EDIT>>>> discovered he gave us misinformation that later came back to haunt us :( I removed his name because I don't not recommend him

IT'S ME AGAIN.... SORRY, I MEANT TO SAY JOAN LANE.. I LOOKED AT THE WRONG PAPER!!!

I just signed with Judy last week. She was wonderful! Answered all my questions with exteme honesty, never any pressure or sales pitch.

Diane Henry handled both our initial purchase and an add-on. There was absolutely no pressure. She returns calls promptly and if she cannot answer a question; she will call back after she tracks down the info. I highly recommend her.

When I retire, I wanna sell DVC.. figure by then I should know all the rules either by first hand knowledge, or thru the DISboards!

Our guide is Ron Brumbaugh, very nice guy. He is a pretty "matter of fact" kinda guy, IMHO. Very low keyed, no pressure whatever, ... gave us our space to talk it over, even reshowed the units to us.. I think "patience" is his middle name. He was the one who clued us into the DIS!

Have always gotten a computer generated "hope you enjoyed your vacation" card from "him" (which is bogus), but haven't had any unsolicited contact, which is ok. Called him last month for an add on, asked him not to call before 3 my time since I work nights, and true to his word.. 3 pm the next day he left a msg on the machine letting me know we got the points.

Like ShaneV, we also have Kelli Jo Williamson. Met w/ her when we went for the tour. She was great, no pressure. Gave us plenty of alone time to talk things over. We bought right then and there, sight unseen @ SSR. Invited us to come and introduce our children to her on our first trip down.

We just purchased in Aug 2003 and our salesperson was Jeff Jarosz. Have not heard a peep from him since we walked out the door at the Boardwalk. Although I haven't had much of a need to phone DVC, other than to make reservations, I did believe the lines of communications were more open than what we have experienced.

Ron Brumbaugh.

friendly
absolutely not pushy
very informative
very thorough
very helpful

made 2 purchases through him

When we first toured DVC back in 1992 we meet and talked with Judy Kaufman, when I found out they where building The Villas @ Wilderness Lodge... I called the main # and it was Judy, she was great and I hope to be calling her again anyday now.

Our guide was Celeste Chaffaut. Very nice lady. Since I had decided to buy before we took the tour, I felt no pressure, but I had a lot of questions. She was able to arrange my down payments in 30 day increments on my credit card as I wanted, so I got the FF miles too.

She handled our hard-to-get BCV add-on efficiently, and promptly.

I think she is now in the DVC office at Celebration and no longer does tours.

She made it very pleasant and easy to spend a lot of money!

Ours was Joan Lane as well. She was on the member cruise in 2002 where we were reeled in. We had a great buying experience and completing the paperwork back home in Atlanta was a breeze.

Will definitely use her next time I have some extra cash lying around.
