Who used Noxzema growing up?

Yes, and I do still prefer to use it on sunburns. :) I burn easily and Noxzema is the best. :)

I tried to use it many times as a teenager, but it made me break out terribly. That and Sea Breeze astringent. The girls on those commercials always had such beautiful skin. I would try either of those for a day or two and I'd be covered in acne.

I still keep it around and use it as a cleanser, but I don't use for burns. BurnJel is much better for that, I find.

As to where to find it, anyplace like WalMart or a drugstore; it's with the skin creams, and it still comes in a jar, though also now in a tube.

We always had Noxema at our house. 3 girls and we lived at the beach!

Loved the smell and the texture. I could never use it to wash my face because it would break me out but it was good for sunburn. I love the shine it had and how it felt as you dipped it out with your fingers.

I used it as a teenager. Talk about a blast from the past. I completely forgot about it. Although, now that I'm in my 40's I seem to be forgetting a lot of things. ;)

I used it when I was a teenager, regularly for my face and also for sunburns. I didn't realize they still made it.

On our cruise several times when we walked by a stateroom near ours I could smell Noxema and even mentioned it to DH. I always liked the smell.

I used it as a teenager til I realized it was breaking my face out. I never had acne and rarely more than one pimple at a time. But, after using Noxzema, I had breakouts, so I quit. On the recommendation of my dermatologist when I was in my late 20's, I use Purpose liquid soap everyday.

My great aunt always had Noxzema on hand! I remember her rubbing it on me when I had sunburns as well. My skin and the sun aren't the best of pals! I also used the Noxzema face pads when I was a teenager...but I've not used anything like that in ages.

Noxzema and Skin So Soft from Avon makes me think of her. Love the smell of both.

Yeah, I used it once when it was a teenager and my face blistered and peeled for days. I looked like I had a really bad sunburn on my face (it was that red) for about a week.

But I do remember the smell.

Noxzema, followed by Sea Breeze, followed by 1/2 a bottle of Aussie Scrunch Spray, and finished off with a couple of spritzes of Bijan, the Designer imposter version! :rotfl2:

I am such a product of the 80's!!!!
