We don't let our kids have free reign on candy. I put it up and dole it out as they ask for it. The funny thing is, since it is not in plain sight, they forget about it for weeks at a time.

So, we still have Halloween candy, Christmas stocking treats, Valentine candy, and favor bag candy from birthday parties. I guess it is time to purge and throw some stuff out.

Peggy

throw it out?

no no - you pass it to stinkerbelle

We would if we didn't pitch it. Candy gets pitched after a month or so. All the "good stuff" gets eaten first anyway and it is usually all the less popular stuff getting pitched.

Yep, me too! I really do give ours to Stinkerbelle, however, her real name is Kendall! ;)

which was on Sundays......our corner store still had cheap candy ....and they would go down there and buy 25 cents worth and then it was upped to 50 cents......they are neither big on candy now.....well they are OLD......but our Dentist even thought our approach was awesome....so he did it with his five kids......if you say NO to kids they will be always looking for it.....if you say.......you have candy day coming they look forward to it.......once in a blue moon our kids would buy the occasional bag of pop corn or chips......

I always put the left over candy in the freezer. On our Dec. trip to WDW, I just threw the bag in the van.

I give it out at Easter
Waste no ..want not

I do. It is in a giant tupperware container in my dorm room.
Everyone knows they can take some of it if they want.

Christmas Candy left, but thru it away when I was on a diet....for about 1 day! I still have a bag of Mounds bars from valentine's though.:p

Actually, yeah, I think we do. None of us are big candy eaters, so it tends to hang around for a while. :)

Me !

But then I am appearantly one of thoses "stupid women" who also forgets to eat !:p

My DS is not a big candy eater. I threw out the Halloween stuff at Christmas and the extra Christmas stuff at Valentines and the left over Valentine candy will be tossed at Easter. :p

Just threw our WDW Halloween candy out yesterday.

Now I wish I still had it:rolleyes:

Lets see...

I have in my cupboard:

Halloween 2002, 2003 candy
Valentines day candy
Easter 2003 candy
Christmas candy

and chocolates too.

My kids get them from school and they get way too many, it's candy overload and they just don't want them anymore.

I guess I'll start tossing some out, or maybe just give em out for this year's Easter.:teeth:

I just opened a package of halloween peeps last night for DD to have as a treat. We also still have lollypops that we're in her Christmas stocking as well as a box of Valentines conversation hearts.

We didn't have that much Halloween candy left over since a lot of kids came to our house. But of course all that we had left was gone pretty quickly.

I think we have Halloween candy from a few years ago. And all the holidays in between. Some of it's in the freezer but I think I've got a decent sized stash in my room. I don't even know why I keep it there, since I barely eat candy, but I do. We also have about 3 half empty fundraiser candy boxes lying around, because after awhile I give up and just pay off the box
