Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I wish Dallas would get in line to see the characters, but he thinks he is too big :rolleyes1. The picture of you and your Mom together is very sweet. It is so special that ya'll spend time together. I wanted my Mom to go to Disney with us, but she never would :(

I just wanted to mention that on this week's podcast on the disboards, they mentioned that Mr. Tom Morrow IS back. It sounds like it's a really, really recent thing. I hope it's back to stay!!!!! :goodvibes

Wonderful news!! I also hope it's back to stay! It's not a big thing, just something that always made me smile when I heard it.

I can't believe how far behind I got!!! Love your TR! The trip to Dollywood sounds fun. I'm hoping we have a good time when we go to Branson and that my mom can handle all the walking as well as your mom has.

Congrats to your whole family on Lacey's graduation and engagement. How wonderful! Many blessings!!!

I love reading your trip reports, I got a little behind and finally got caught up tonight, I love the details and the side stories. :surfweb:

GREAT DISNEY UPDATE. Someday I just might try the Transit Authority ride. :lmao:

And I had never seen Chip and Dale in that kind of outfit. That was a nice treat.

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't gotten around to posting replies.

We have a deadline at the office today...of course. Something's wrong with John's truck and it is missing like crazy. I'm in Lacey's Jeep because she took our car to Tennessee to visit Jesse and won't be home until tomorrow afternoon. John has to go put in a bid on a big cabinet job this afternoon so Mama's dropping him off at the office to get the Jeep. He's going out of town to look at the job but won't be back in time to pick me up from work. So, Mama's going to pick up Hunter from school and the pick me up from work. I hate days like this!

Hope everybody's day has started out better than our's.

I'll try and get back this afternoon and post replies.

Oh no! That sounds like a big mess! Hopefully John will get the job! And I hope your day gets better for you!

Lisa, not the way to start the week. I hope everything works out okay. And don't worry about the replies...we know you're good for them when you get the chance.

Wow sounds like a mess with the car situation. I hope John gets the truck fixed and everything works out. May the rest of your week go betterpixiedust:

Hi Lisa. Once again...I am caught up on your report. Sounds like a great visit with Lacey....in spite of all the traveling issues! Love the video of Hunter doing his cup stacking! ;)

I've never seen Chip and Dale in the space suits either...way cute!

Bummer about the truck. Tate turned 16 last Tuesday and got her license the same day. :rolleyes1:love: She's been driving my car all week and I was just informed that the check engine light is on????? Could be one of a hundred things but it seems odd. Anyway I feel your pain I'm carless (word?):confused3 also. 18 days til WDW :cool1:

What a crazy day! I hope nothing major is wrong with the truck!

It is very stressful when a car is messing up. For the first ohhhhhhhh, 14 years of our marriage, Dale and I had one car. He had his company vehicle for work, but when I worked weekends he would be stranded at home with the kids with no way to go. His company van only has two seats, the driver and a passenger, so there was no getting in that to run to the store. Finally, in 2001, we got a second car :dance3::banana:. I don't know how we ever made it with just one car for so long.

Funny story about cars----It was a Saturday('96 or '97 BD(before Dallas.....:rotfl:) and our one and only car was acting stupid, it was still under warranty, but the service department at the dealership was closed on the weekend. Anyway, we wanted to go to the car races at our local track so his brother let us borrow his old car, it was probably a 75 or so model Datsun.......:lmao::rotfl2:. We took Amanda and Tyler to my mom's house because they didn't want to go. SOOOOO off we go. As we were driving down Hwy. 90 we hear a LOUD boom and the car started filling up with smoke :scared1::eek:. We pulled to the side of the road and Dale, who knows NOTHING about car repair, gets out and opens the hood......well, he did know what happened here, the A/C hose had burst, thus the smoke filling the car :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:. We did not let it ruin our Saturday night out though, he got back in the car, we rolled the windows down and on to the races we went :lmao:.

Sorry I hijacked your TR Lisa, I just think it is funny how similar are lives are ;).

As many of you know, I am always exceeding my bandwidth on Photobucket and am constantly trying to organize and change around my Photobucket accounts. Well, I opened a new one last week and brought my pictures to work with me. It was then that I found out that some of my pictures weren't downloaded/uploaded/whatever it's called to Photobucket. After looking at the missing pictures, I realized I had posted some wrong info. Let me post what really happened that morning.

I turned in the lost memory card. John and Hunter took pictures on the train station steps. We got burped on by Stitch. John made googly eyes at Roz. And then..............................

I went and got Space Mountain Fastpasses while John, Hunter and Mama rode Buzz Lightyear. I ran over and got the Fastpasses and sat on one of the little concrete benches located between the Launching Pad and Buzz Lightyear. I saw this man coming towards me and I took a picture of him. I was trying to be sneaky so that's why it's not such a good picture.

John, Hunter and Mama came out and then Hunter and I went to ride Buzz while John and Mama waited on us.

Ya'll know how the line to Buzz Lightyear goes outside and around to the left side of the building? Well, there were about a dozen or so people outside the building. Just enough that the first chained section was nearly full. Since the line is constantly moving, those people were continuously going into the building. Just before Hunter and I were able to get in line, six or seven, maybe eight, people jumped in front of Hunter and I and started climbing over and under the chains.

I looked at Hunter and he looked at me. We walked down and through all of the chained off area. When we got to the end of the line, a castmember came up to us and said "How many are in your group?". We told her just Hunter and I. She wrote something on a piece of paper and said, "Here's a VIP Fastpass. You and your son were kind enough to not break in front of others and you didn't go under the chains. You followed rules. These people in front of you did not." She said it in a voice loud enough that they heard her.

I thanked her and told her that I didn't understand people like that especially when the line wasn't that long in the first place. She smiled and said she wished there were nor guests like Hunter and I. And, with that, she opened the chains and let us go through the Fastpass line.

As Hunter and I were walking past all those line cutters, I told him I was proud of him and that it really did pay off to be a rule follower. There were only about five or six Fastpass holders in front of us so we were soon walking by Buzz Lightyear and boarding our space mobiles:

Here's a pic of Hunter with the Evil Zurg:

We walked out to find Mama and John sitting on the same concrete bench that I had sat on before. They made a comment about how it didn't take us long to save the planet. We told them about the VIP Fastpasses and how getting them came about.

And, then, that's when the previous story starts. We got on the TTA, missed the page for Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow. John got a phone call:

We saw Chip and Dale in their space suits:

John stood to the side and took another phone call:

We were starting to get hungry and Hunter wanted pizza. But, before we went in search of food, we decided to see the Carousel of Progress. It had been at least a couple of years since we had seen it. In 2000, when Mama went with us, it was only open seasonally and she didn't get to see it. The castmember at the door said we would only have to wait about 5 minutes before they would let us in.

Before long, the doors opened and we were seated just a few rows back from the stage. And, then, we were singing "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow". While the attraction isn't somethiing that you would walk away from saying "simply amazing", it's still a nice presentation. I am always amazed at how realistic the Disney dogs are. The family dog in the Carousel would lift it's head, wag it's tail or bark in every scene. The last scene had been added since we had seen it before and I was glad to see that they had put in something more modern for the final scene.

Still humming "it's a great big beautiful tomorrow", we left the building and headed in the direction of Fantasyland. Pinocchio's Village Haus was calling Hunter's name. We walked past the stinky cars at the Tomorrowland Speedway. I have to admit that I am glad that Hunter has outgrown the cars. They were never a favorite of mine.

As we were approaching the tea cups, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee and Alice were settling in to visit guests. We hopped in line for the Tweedles. Luckily, there were only a few other people in front of us. John wanted to take a picture with them too. A short video of them playing around with Hunter:

***Gosh darn it, I was going to try and make this installment longer but the phone rang and I need to get something for a client and call them back. I'll be back later.

YAY for being a rule follower!!!! It DOES pay off!!!! We always got ugly looks from the people in the stand by line when we had a fastpass, like we were cutting in line.

All met back up and joined all these folks walking down Main Street:

That always make me happy when you are engulfed in that sea of people. Just feels like Disney! :goodvibes

Now I don't know about ya'll but I love the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Don't know what it is about it but I love it. The last time we went to Disney, it was under rehab so we didn't get to ride it.

I've been to WDW 3 times and EVERY TIME the TTA is closed!!! I've always wanted to ride it, so I'm hoping that I can when I go back in January! But I heard that it was updated, so I'm missing all the old school "Mr Morrow, etc."

John getting the phone calls is hilarious!! :lmao: He needs to walk around with the little ear bud in his ear and then you guys can all look at him oddly when he answers the phone like he's talking to himself! :rotfl2:

I still hadn't gone over to get Space Mountain Fastpasses yet. Mama said she needed so we all walked over towards Space Mountain and the bathrooms. Along the way, we saw Chip and Dale in their space gear which was something we had never seen.

I've never seen that! That's so cool to see something new when you are at Disney! :)

Can't wait to see the next installment!

Good deeds come to those who obey the rules! Good for you and Hunter. Love the pics of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (and I just have no more comments about John and his phone...I just sit here and do this: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).

I will add Helen to my list too. If I could get my parents to go with I know they would absolutely love it there.

Sorry to hear about John's truck problems. Hope the week gets less crazy. It always seems that everything happens at once!

Space Chip and Dale are so cute. Hope to see them this time. Love the TTA! I do hope "paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow" is back. Yay for getting VIP fastpasses for being rule followers! I wish that happened more in real life, cause you know Disney is like being on another planet! CoP haven't done it before, but it is always on my to see list, maybe this time.
