Count me in! I'm taking a friend on her FIRST trip to Disney June 8-11. We are renting DVC points staying at BLT. Never stayed at Contemporary or BLT before, so I'll be tuning in to learn anything I can from this thread.

Have you rented points before? I have been hesitant due to my obsessive need to control every aspect of our vacation. I understand, they make the reservation for you when renting points?

I have been on YouTube everyday, looking at the BLT.. Those rooms are huge compared to our normal resort, the Poly. I can't wait!

DD and I will be staying at CR Baylake view 6/9-6/17

We were there for the last 3 nights of our Thanksgiving trip 2011 booked in a GW GV room. We had some and were upgraded the Tower BayLake View. I loved the view more than our MK view from a previous trip.

I can not wait to walk into our room and see that gorgeous view again not to mention those super comfy beds. Is it June yet

Never rented points before! Found a great lady on the boards and she has been awesome to work with. I too am a control freak, but seriously, all she does is make the reservation. She sent me the confirmation, I entered it online so I can view it anytime. I make my own dining reservations. I sent her my ME info so she could get that set up. Very easy process and SO MUCH cheaper!!!!

I'm actually staying on points in April at AKV; so I will report back then and let you know how it went. I'm sure it will be great!

I am really curious how that works out for you! Being able to book your own ADR's is a great thing and being able to see the reservation would be comforting.

BLT June 8-15. We exchanged our timeshare points for DVC points. It's awesome. We have a million points per year, and it rocks! We are going to WDW 4x this year! Excited!!!!!

We are staying at BLT for June 9-15!!

We are not DVC members and will be paying cash staying at BLT for the first time. ADRs are 80% done (still waiting for okay from DBf) and all we have left is getting the flight down to MCO.

sound like you have all your plans in place!! I found it a lot easier to make the ADR's that I wanted instead of the ones I would settle for!! Your DBF is getting involved in your planning? Sounds like he will be a member of our disdads club one day!
We are not DVC members either, we found that with the size of our family this would be the cheapest and best fit for us.

I tweak so much.. That when i call a week before our vacation they just answer with a sigh.. And say "what!!"

SWW is really great for the star wars fans!! My boy goes nuts! If you go to rope drop, while you are waiting, listen to the announcements!! Hilarious!

I just noticed you have a DD16.. I have a DD17 too bad you guys are arriving the 8th.. We could have had a DisMeet. The more my teens meet other teens,the more they tend to find other places to go besides next to us!

Thanks for the welcome. I stayed at the CR when I was 5, but the only memory I have was of opening the curtains the night we stayed. They had a pull string and I thought that was cool. I have no memory, unfortunately, of what was outside my window! So, I am looking forward to TPV and remembering what is outside my window! Haha!

Just booked at CR June 25-30, staying at SOG 24th. It's our first stay in a deluxe but we are thrilled with three kids to be able to walk to MK.
