Who is going in February????

Do you think that is going to still be an issue in February. I don't know how badly it was damaged, but how far out of the way do you have to go? I am coming from Lafayette, LA. Just wondering, since it already is a 13 hour drive for us. Maybe this would help convince my DH we need to fly. I am not looking forward to this drive with a 7 and 2 year old.

We will be at the Pop Feb. 21 - 28. First time going, hoping to get our price down with the new codes like I have read so many threads talk about.

Be at the Swan 11/23 - 11/27. A spur of the moment decision to go for Thanksgiving, since we will be back for a week in February during the Mardi Gras holiday.

Just made my reservations today to go down the first week of February and it'll be our first stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge!!!

JOY!!!

:hyper:

We will be at the Swan 2/15-2/26 and PBH 2/26-2/28. See you there!!

Looks like there will be a good number of us there! We will be at the world fom Feb 20-27 first 5 at OKW and last 2 at POP

I've ready every post on this thread and taken a count on who is going on which week to see if there was a chance for a low crowd in February. Frankly, I'm a little worried. If only the people who responded to this post go, we are all set. LOL! :hyper:

I'm looking at Feb. 4-13 to go and I'm worried about the number of people going down then too. We've been twice before in Feb. and never had a problem but this year I just don't know.

Should I go in January? I would like it to be warm enough so the kids can swim in the pools.

There are 11 of us (6 adults, 5 children) going for Mardi Gras. We got our ressies for Southwest Airlines and confirmation for those tickets already.
We'll be staying at ASMo, and plan on bringing lots of purple, green, and gold !!! First Disney trip for 3 nephews and 1 niece;1 st time my sisters and I will be in Disney together since before EPCOT was built (we've all visisted since, yet not together, nor as adults). Hoop de Doo on Mardi Gras Day !!

LOL-Wouldn't that be nice?! I'm not worried about crowds at all. The Unofficial Guide has a great chart that predicts the crowd levels, you should check it out! :)

Staying in two rooms at POP from Feb. 6-13. Looking forward to a ROMANTIC 20th anniversary celebration with our 6 boys along;) ! Seriously, there should be some opportunity for some alone time as we can leave our 18 and 16 year olds in charge while we have a romantic dinner or two!

I will be going Feb16-26. We are staying at the Poly GV. It will be me, my 2 DS, and my DD. I heard that there is construction going on at the Poly by Cap. Cooks. Does anyone have info on work being done in Feb?:thewave:

We are doing a split stay (3 days at Ft Wilderness cabins/4 days at AKL!) for Presidents' Week!! Yippee!! I can't wait!!

But US Air just release good airfares for Feb. I put a hold on a Feb 9-15 for $383 total for 3 of us, includes tax from Cleveland to Orlando. Hard to beat that rate. Plus it's value season. I know we'll run into Mardi Gras week folks, but I don't think it will be crowded, do you? Going to talk it over with dh tonight. Have to pay for the tickets tomorrow or lose them.

....when IS Mardi Gras ???? (we celebrated at POR-French Quarter back in 2001; they had a parade and passed out beads and coins....very cool!)

Someone posted about getting a big red X next to their name for changing their minds on hotels....here's my story...would not book before the codes came out...nothing the week I wanted to go (marathon week) so just opted for my first choice of Beach Club...booked it...read about the slide being closed...un-booked it...only available was Contemporary Tower...Booked it....looked at the rooms...I think I'd have nightmares with all those geometric patterns and bold colors...unbooked it....figured if I was willing to pay $$ for Tower why not try Grand Floridian..it was available for almost $100 off a night...booked it...husband said dates wouldn't work for him...unbooked it...rebooked GF for 1/28-2/4...

The first confirmation they sent me a beautiful personally designed wallet brochure with lots of suggestions for restaurants and activities...the second, third, and fourth one they sent me a white slip of paper in the mail...this fifth one they emailed me a notice of our arrival...Guess they're getting wise to me! :) Atleast I'm glad they don't waste money on sending 5 personally designed glossy packets each time! They're pretty smart! :)

I'll be wearing green scarf to find you guys!
Tara
