Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

hi everyone! all the talk of candles.... I love them!! I have tons, used to do Partylite parties, and invest all the money I made buying candles for me! I light them just about everyday, I still have lots left.

I made baked potato soup for dinner, and peanut butter fudge. kind of rocky road with pbutter chips instead of chocolate. YUM! we had a rainy dreary day. I just took a bubble bath and am in my comfies, have to start a load of towels before the game. talk to you all later!

Good evening everyone! We've had a busy day. I had completely forgotten I had a dr's appointment this morning, it was at the pain center that my pain specialist referred me to. I think the whole "behavioral pain management" thing is pretty fishy, and the guy pretty much reinforced that belief for me today. He kept talking about stress management, but he was talking to me in a really condescending tone and kept stopping and saying, "Doesn't that make sense?" every few sentences, and that was stressing me out! Just get to the point already! It kills me that I have to pay for this crap, but my dr. won't continue to treat me if I don't at least TRY other methods besides medication to manage my back pain. :headache:

Then it was off to the mall, because Lyzzie really liked Emma's sleeping bag so I told her I'd get one for her too. We did that and then decided to eat there. They have this new pizza place in the food court that has pizza in a cone! It's a cone made of pizza crust, filled with the toppings inside. Weird. They look really gross, but they were handing out free samples and Lyzzie *gasp!* tried one and *double gasp!* loved it! I didn't buy her one though because she couldn't figure out if she was hungry enough to eat the whole thing. We waited to order our drinks because Sonic had a sign that said, "2-4pm every day, ALL DRINKS & SLUSHES 1/2 PRICE!" Well I argued with the cashier, because AFTER she took my order and started making our drinks (a cream slush and a smoothie) she said, "Oh, the ice cream drinks are not included." "Ok, what about the smoothie? It has yogurt but no ice cream." "Yeah, that's considered ice cream." Then it should say that! The sign says ALL. I didn't win that fight, I decided it wasn't worth it but it really ticked me off. Then Lyzzie remembered she wanted to look for a Fairies book at TDS, so back downstairs we trudged. Emma was really worn out by then and was being awful.

We got home and Emma crashed on the couch and is still out cold. I'm afraid to move her! Last night she ended up sleeping with me, and she rolled over and landed on the (wood) floor! :scared1: I shot out of bed and ran around it faster than I knew I could move out of a dead sleep. She was still asleep - didn't even wake up when I put her back in bed!! I felt SO bad, I didn't sleep the rest of the night.

2x2s: I wonder what tickets that guy's SO thought she was getting? That would stink if she had actually bought tickets to the Broadway show! It just amazes me how people are willing to throw money around without even knowing what they're buying. And I agonize for 20 minutes before buying a toothbrush! I had to laugh about you not wanting a steak after watching Sweeney Todd. You so silly!!

Lin: I've never had a massage so I'm no expert, but aren't they supposed to REMOVE the stiffness? I'd be mad if I dished out the cash for a massage and felt worse after! I got your card today, it's very cute!!

Hey there guys! Wow, today has been crazy. Starting w/a call at 9am that my grandfather passed away:sad: so, I've had a horrible headache that will not go away from crying. We did go to my aunts and visit w/everyone for several hours. That was really nice b/c we all live so spread out we hardly get to see each other. Guess I'll miss another day of work this week. My dad was so PO'd b/c my grandpa was in WWII and the Korean war, well he was on oxygen and the VA was paying for the oxygen. well, they found nicotine in his system, so they took it away. He was 82 and smoked for 70 YEARS! WOW, that is a long time! Just so sad:guilty: He was truly an incredible man. I respected him so much. I'm sure he's in a much better place now though.

Is that 10 FEET of snow? Holy crap, I can't even imagine!! You could not pay me enough to go there. My parents went on a cruise to Alaska a few years ago and really liked it, but it was summer then and they still said it was pretty chilly.
yep, 10' and they were getting 3" an HOUR!!! they couldn't pay me enough to live there!! I would love to do an Alaska cruise someday! I bet they had a great time!
it's supposed to be near 70 on Sunday

Linda..girl...why did you go and get all sick? Great pictures at Coral Reef! I have a picture of the sea turtle but we were on the second tier so it's hard to see. Kinda like my Lion shot...I'm the only one who knew it was there. I'm looking forward to seeing more of you pictures! How did your Osborne lights come out? Tell Kenny and Mike hi. I told HisMajesty about needing to book SOG now for next Christmas. That guy told me NO....how rude. I think he knew I really didn't mean it...but what if he would have said yes?
Kenny and Mike say Hello back :) HM said NO but...but...his oldest son said...ajoining rooms remember HEHE tell him this time it'll be cheaper, sog is much cheaper, and no ddp :rotfl: can't wait for more TR...great pics!
Hey YM!

I am feeling a bit better. Mike bought me a Vicks humidifier and I used it for a couple days. It seems to have helped. I do have a list of medications I can take, but I have to be careful because they can interact with my blood pressure medicine.

I spoke to my dad tonight and he offered Mike a job.
Hey there Amber. That is great you're feeling a little better. that is fantastic your dad offered Mike a job.

guess I'm buying:laughing: thanks for a lovely breakfast.

my parents had to take me to the ER.
oh girl!!! glad your parents took you to get taken care of. fire scares me to death. My uncles and their friends had a sleepover out in the garage when they were kids and the garage caught fire. He burned like 70% or more of his body, I forget exactly, but they didn't think he'd make it. His body is badly scarred, except his face (he's so lucky there) He was in the hospital for months. that has always scared me of fire. I'm so cautious w/candles or anything at all. I won't leave the stove when it's on high...just scares me!!!

well, hello!!!
 hey there chickadee!

Anybody notice my new ticker???
love the ticker! have fun packing and getting ready!

I DELETED IT!
OMG DznyFan!!! I hope and pray they can retrieve it for you! I know you must be totally devastated!:guilty: :grouphug:

Linda----thanks so much for checking on the fudge sauce from Outback. I did find one recipe that actually was not hershey's syrup, so I think I will give that a try. I do have a backup plan if that doesn't work, but thank you for looking into it.
Then he tells me that his SO is working on getting tickets to see the Lion King. I told him that no special tickets are needed for that---just a ticket to get into AK. I let him know that this was not the "broadway" production------"oh, really??" was his response
Happy Birthday to your dad. Hope you have a great time and the dessert turns out great! Never a problem looking for something for you!
omg..he thought FOTLK at AK was the broadway production, don't I wish they had it there!!!! Poor guy! I LOVE FOTLK though!!! that is where we learned that giraffes say "baaa":rotfl: like a sheep!

I am off on a Saturday today for the first time since my trip and I think Steven and I will go to a movie, we've been wanting to see National Treasure.

Have a great day everyone!
Have fun! we really enjoyed Nat. treasure!

It's worth it tho.
It sure is! good luck!
I have talked to co-workers both male and female who have serious issues with those who we hear leave the restroom without stopping at the sink.... YUK!!
oh I know...I work w/all men, but I keep a big bottle of hand sanitizer right on my desk! when there were a few other females there.....we had to talk to one about her AF and leaving it on the toilet seat:scared1: :headache: most disgusting thing EVER!

Nicole, that is a great story!!!! I am candle-hugger, I usually use Partylite candles and you hug them with your fingers to turn the wax into the candle and smooth it out. I have even been known to stick tweezers into my candles to try and center the wick. Glad I don't have Candle OCD all by myself!!!!

Well, I got a massage today and now my back is stiff. Guess I need to drink more water. It was my belated anniversary gift from Chris. Now we are getting ready to finally go to my in-laws house for Christmas with them. We got home from WDW the day before they left for the Rose Bowl Parade and they just got back, so belated Christmas for us!
OH, I definitely have to have the wick centered, that drives me crazy! oh, I'd love a massage right about now! that was very sweet of Chris! Have fun at the in-laws. Sounds like a great time.

The tree and decorations are down and stored away until November!! Now I'm free to enjoy my evening!!
I remember making a blanket tent acrossed some chairs and lighting candles that looked like Christmas trees!! It's really a wonder we didn't burn down the house!
Yay!

Oh, we use to make the tents w/chairs too:woohoo: those were so much fun.. No candles though...

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! oh geeze...43 images!

Hey Everyone.

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss.

Lyzziesmom, pizza in a cone??? Sounds very weird, but then again I don't like pizza much at all.

It's funny some of you play with your candles. Mike does it al the time and it drives me crazy. I bought a bunch of candle lids, so that they burn more evenly. That way, the candles burn evenly and he has nothing to mess with. Although, that only works for jar candles; he can still get into the pillar candles.

We visited friends today. It was fun, but it's a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. We didn't stay too long, because Mike wanted to get home to watch the Redskins (that did NOT go well).
I haven't been feeling well today. I have been having anxiety and have cried several times. I try not to look upset in front of Mike, but he can tell something is wrong. I just don't want him to feel worse than he already does.

Linda: I am SO sorry for your loss.

Amber: Try to keep in mind that pregnancy and hormones can really do a number on your emotions. Something that might normally stress you out a bit can feel like a huge big world-ending deal when everything is out of whack. You're so lucky that you have Mike and I'm sure he'd do whatever he could to make you feel better, he seems like he'd be the kind of guy who would understand that it's not his fault.

I used to make blanket tents too, but I never lit candles underneath them! I used to play with old candles and a nutpicker - you know the metal toothpicky things that come with nutcrackers? I would heat the nutpicker in the flame of the candle and then press it into the wax to make cool drip patterns. Only with old 1/2 burned candles though, new ones are too pretty. I haven't bought any candles in forever, I love them but mostly as decorations and I don't really burn them much. I like to buy the pretty ones and they can be pretty pricy, I feel bad burning something that I paid that much for. Plus with Roxy around, I'm afraid she'd knock it over or jump over it and catch herself on fire. I do like my tart burner, but I am still looking for the "right" place to put it. It's an electric one which I love, but my old house has few sockets and they're all in weird places, and most of the ones I haven't used yet are connected to light switches so if I want the socket to work, the overhead lights have to be on too. Weird!

I tried to move sleeping Emma from the couch to her bed, but she woke up and cried, "My pants are wet!" She peed all over herself and the couch in her sleep, and is now WIDE awake. I called my mom for advice on how to clean the couch cushion. She said, "I'd call my mom and ask her to bring over her upholstery steamer tomorrow." Good, because I was worried about it being ruined!

Linda - I am SO SORRY for your loss!

Lyzziesmom - sounds like you had a busy day today!! Hope you get your couch cushion cleaned up!

Hey, Pozey, how'd the meet go? Did your friend ever get ahold of the stadium's lost and found?

Just hangin out tonight working on restoring some old photos. My DH got me a scanner for Christmas so I can scan, restore and archive all my old film stuff - including a big box of photos that my mom had which dates back from before I was born. I have some old stuff from my Grandfather from WWI, too. Watching 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry' and have been laughing so hard all night!

The meet went okay. Both boys were SO close to making "A" class times today. Colton made 1 and was so close on others... But today's events weren't their best.

No, she wasn't able to get ahold of lost and found. She's gonna wait until she gets back home on Monday to call again. Today was the last full day she would be with her mom and dad on vacation. She flies back to Oklahoma tomorrow.

Sounds like fun.

I bought a new DVD player tonight. I bought a Blu-Ray DVD player. However, I found out my TV only has 2 HDMI inputs....and they are already being used!! So....I need to go to the store tomorrow and get a splitter...

I have wanted to rent Chuck and Larry.

DznyFan.....we doin' lunch soon, or whut?

Pozey - lunch - yeah!! Chuck & Larry was SO funny, but definitely not for kids. There wasn't really that much profanity and no nudity or anything graphic, but there's a lot of innuendo, and derogatory gay comments.

Yeah, I kinda figured.....but it does look funny...

Hey everyone!!

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I'll be thinking of you and your family!

Lin, I got your card today. Thanks!! It was really adorable! Where did you find them?

Amber, Atleast we can be here for each other while our husbands look for jobs.:headache:  I'm glad Mike has been offered a job even though it isn't the most ideal location. Maybe he can take it and keep looking for another?

Nicole, did you end up seeing National Treasure? I liked it, but nowhere near as much as I enjoyed the first movie. That one is one of my favorites. I think Nicholas Cage is starting to look alittle scary though. :scared1: His appearance really distracted me throughout the whole thing!! He should be able to afford a better toupee than that- (he has one in the first one too but it isn't as noticeable) and to me it looks like he's had some bad plastic surgery....:scared:

We're watching the Steeler game now, its really exciting! I had preheated the oven and I was going to make some Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies. The recipe called for softened butter so I put a stick on the stove and got in the shower. When I went to make them all the butter had melted all over the stove (I guess because the oven was preheating) ! :scared1: Boy did it make a mess!! These cookies better be worth it! ;)

Eyelids droopy.......

I'm gonna head off to dreamland now...

Linda- I'm so sorry for your loss. :grouphug:

Lin- You're my candle soulmate! :teeth: I got your card yesterday!

Ashley- Yes we did see the movie, I liked it, but liked the first one better. Yeah you're right, he does look kinda scary! We watched the Steelers game too.

Amber- I know it's hard, but whenever you feel sad, think of that sweet little boy inside of you.

Lyzziesmom- Sounds like you've been busy all day.

Good morning glories! It has been an uneventful morning around here, which is just the way I like it. I woke myself up yelling at my mom in a dream, so after I was up for a while I called her to tell her that she woke me up. She was very confused!

In my dream, my parents were here and were working on something in our playroom all day but wouldn't let me in to see what was going on. When I did see it, they had removed all our Tink stuff and turned it into an ugly 70s bedroom! They put in green shag carpeting and a giant bed with the ugliest comforter I'd ever seen - dark brown with Pepto-pink and orange blobby shapes on it, all covered with these bright yellow flowers that had rectangular petals and were the size of dinner plates. Yikes! I yelled "NO!" and my mom (still in my dream) kept saying, "Oh you'll get used to it. I'm not changing it, I paid good money for this stuff at Goodwill! You'll learn to like it." And I kept yelling, "No, no nOO!" The one that woke me up was when I yelled, out loud in my sleep, "No, get it OUT!" It was horrible! Pretty funny now though. When I called Mom to tell her about it, she said it didn't sound that bad to her. Aaack!

I have a favor to ask of my fellow cliquelessers. If any of you have TGM, could you please pm me? I have a couple questions.

If Emma is still feeling good this afternoon, we are going to the discount theater to see The Game Plan. That's about the extent of our plans for the day! The kids will be going to sleep early because tomorrow is back to school for Lyzzie, and Emma goes to the dentist for her regular checkup.

Linda, I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Grandparents are special and I was fortunate to know all 4 of mine.
