Good morning, everyone!!

I can't believe it's about 60 degrees here right now!! I'm not going to complain about that. Of course it's really windy out, too!

How about a little French Toast this morning?

I hope you all have a Wonderful Sunday!!

Good morning!

Lyzziesmom - I'm sorry - but that dream you had is really funny!!! Of course, I can see why you were yelling at your mom - and it's even scarier that she didn't think it was that bad in real life.... I think you probably have reason to worry now... The room sounds very..... well, Austin Powers!

I have the same dilemma as Lyzziesmom as far as the TGM - I have some ?.

Shannon - sorry your Steelers didn't make it last night!

Hope everybody has a lovely Sunday!

Good Morning All!

I have TGM, so you can PM me if you want.

Lyzziesmom, that is a weird dream.

Linda::I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather.

lyzziesmom:: Sounds like you had busy day yesterday! The doctor you went to well, I think I would have wanted to slap him silly.:headache:
I must admit; the 70's bedroom in your room did sound almost "nightmarish"!:rotfl:

Austin Powers!! That's right on, Bayby!!!:hippie:

hi everyone! all the talk of candles.... I love them!! I have tons, used to do Partylite parties, and invest all the money I made buying candles for me! I light them just about everyday, I still have lots left.

I made baked potato soup for dinner, and peanut butter fudge. kind of rocky road with pbutter chips instead of chocolate. YUM! we had a rainy dreary day. I just took a bubble bath and am in my comfies, have to start a load of towels before the game. talk to you all later!
I love partylite candles too! that baked potato soup sounds very tasty! so does the fudge! Hope you're feeling better!

Lyzzie *gasp!* tried one and *double gasp!* loved it!
I felt SO bad, I didn't sleep the rest of the night.

Lin: I've never had a massage so I'm no expert, but aren't they supposed to REMOVE the stiffness? I'd be mad if I dished out the cash for a massage and felt worse after! I got your card today, it's very cute!!
oh, I would have been mad about the "ALL" sign too..if it doesn't mean all...it shouldn't SAY all:rolleyes:
Glad Lyzzie tried and liked it! sounds interesting!
good luck w/the pain mgmt. sounds like you could use a massage after that;)

If I remember correctly, the massage kinda works the toxins out that make you feel stiff and the water flushes it out... at the spa when you get a massage, they always bring us ice water to drink before you leave.

Yes, Lin..that card was SO cute!!!! thank you so much, and to everyone we received cards from! Sorry....I'm still working on them:rolleyes1

Hey Everyone.

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss.

We visited friends today.
I haven't been feeling well today.
Thanks Amber, I really appreciate it. Sorry you didn't get to stay long at your friends. That's a long trip! Hope you get to feeling better. I can't blame you. You can't help but worry:guilty: we all know how stressful his job was for all of you too though. I'm sure it will be a blessing. Try to think about getting ready for Spencer. How exciting it is going to be holding that sweet baby boy. Seeing his sweet smiling little face:lovestruc It just makes you melt! I held Kenny all night long that first night! Truly a blessing from god!

Linda: I am SO sorry for your loss.

"I'd call my mom and ask her to bring over her upholstery steamer tomorrow."
thanks Lyzziesmom:hug:
that was nice of her. That's one of the reasons I love leather. I bought leather for my car and a leather couch, they clean so nicely and easy!!

My condolences Linda.
thanks pozey!

Linda - I am SO SORRY for your loss!

Just hangin out tonight working on restoring some old photos. My DH got me a scanner for Christmas so I can scan, restore and archive all my old film stuff - including a big box of photos that my mom had which dates back from before I was born. I have some old stuff from my Grandfather from WWI, too. Watching 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry' and have been laughing so hard all night!
thanks DznyFan. Oh, I have TGM too. He is awesome. I'm sure I could probably help if you don't have your ?'s already answered. You too Lyzziesmom ;)
Linda, I'm so sorry about your grandfather!:sad1:
Thanks. He was such a good man:angel:

The meet went okay. Both boys were SO close to making "A" class times today. Colton made 1 and was so close on others... But today's events weren't their best.
I bought a new DVD player tonight. I bought a Blu-Ray DVD player. However, I found out my TV only has 2 HDMI inputs....and they are already being used!! So....I need to go to the store tomorrow and get a splitter...
Blu-ray huh...I've seen them advertise the dvd's but I'll have to see what the difference is. Better quality I would imagine?

Hey everyone!!

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I'll be thinking of you and your family!

He should be able to afford a better toupee than that
Thanks Ashley:hug: sorry about the butter...oops!

You're right:lmao: that made me laugh! I usually really like his movies, but he is a little creepy lookin!
Linda- I'm so sorry for your loss. :grouphug:

Lin- You're my candle soulmate! :teeth:
Thanks Nicole. You guys are great! I don't know what I'd do w/out ya!
:rotfl: candle soulmate...you're too cute!

I called her to tell her that she woke me up. She was very confused!
:rotfl: oh, that is too funny!

Linda, I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Grandparents are special and I was fortunate to know all 4 of mine.
Thanks so much. You're right. Quite honestly, I was closer to my grandparents than I was to my PARENTS:guilty: Thankfully I did know all 4 of mine as well. I still amazed he was a smoker for 70 years...that is just such a loooooong time:laughing:

60 out!!! sweet! thanks for breakfast Donna. Enjoy that weather! Thanks for all the condolances. you guys are so great!

I think we found why I might have been sick. Mike found a huge rubbermaid tote down in the basement...well, remember when our basement was flooded, this container had a crack in it....and inside were very moldy, musty, nasty blankets, a feather tick... just disgusting:headache: we threw it all out...but that could have been part of the reason we've all been having allergy and sinus problems, or why I got sick:rolleyes1

hope everyone has a Super Sunday!

OMG Linda...of course that could have been making you sick. How lucky that you finally found it. Hopefully you will all start to feel better now.

I am so sorry about your Grandfather:hug:

I have been feeling better but then last night every time I eat my throat hurts like crazy! It starts a few minutes after I start eating and lasts for about an hour. Now you would think I would lose some weight because it makes me stop eating but...you would be wrong. :rolleyes1 I just suffer through and then complain. I have never had throat pain like this before. I can see, if this continues I will need to call the doctor tomorrow.

In honor of my dream, I thought I'd wear something special today.
manip_dg5759.jpg

Hope you feel better Michele. Sore throats are awful - try eating some ice cream. That always seems to help. ;)

Linda: Yuck, yuck yuck! Maybe you will start feeling better too now that you threw out all that crud.

:lmao: Thanks for the mental picture Lyzziesmom! I'm now picturing you in this outfit..........:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I need some advice from my cliqueless friends :o We are trying to figure out how to get all our stuff to Florida. A moving truck costs too much more than we want to spend, and a trailer you pull with your car is expensive too (and Jeremiah is nervous about driving with it...)

My Grandparents gave us this idea: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_02872018000P?keyword=car+roof+rack
Anybody have experience with this? We don't have a roof rack but can you get one of these without one, (by just strapping it to your roof?):confused3 I'm really confused! Jeremiah is leaning towards just bringing our car down, and I want to throw away alot, but not that much :scared1:

Anyway, anybody have any suggestions? We were also considering just sending some boxes down...

Hello!

Today is pretty warm out, 50 degrees, but everything is muddy and ugly out. :guilty:

Linda, good thing you found that box! :scared: What is a feather tick, or maybe I don't want to know. ;)

Lizziesmom, crazy dream!

Ashley, the car top carrier will only fit say 3 suitcases full of stuff, not very big. I don't know how much stuff you have, but I know that wouldn't even fit all my clothes in it and I don't have that many. Is there any family members with a van that can help you move? The ones with removable seats can hold a ton. I think mailing some of your stuff is going to come out costly in the end. Good luck, it really stinks moving long distance.

Michele, hope your throat feels better.

We're working on cleaning and laundry. :laundy: Madison had another New Years resolution and it was keeping her room clean. She has cleaned it everyday this week and has become very particular if anything is out of place. She even wrote down a list of her webkinz so she can do a head count and know if Gracie took any of them. :lmao: She checks them off several times a day and usually finds Gracie has hidden at least 2 or 3 of them. :lmao: Now if only she'd learn to shut her door.

I hope everyone else is having a Super Sunday!

Unfortunately we don't have any family nearby that can help. All of our family lives in Florida:guilty: I guess the car top things wouldn't hold much. I'm just not sure what to do. :confused3 I remember when I moved up here I shipped 4 big boxes and it cost about $150, but that was 3 years ago! I will just throw out as much as I can...I've been going through stuff the last couple days and I've literally thrown out 10-12 garbage bags with stuff we don't want!

What kind of stuff do you have to move? Do you have any big furniture (couch, bed, tables....) or just little things? Did you price a one way for a smaller uhaul truck? I know you don't drive, so you would probally have to tow your car.

Linda - oooh that rubbermaid sounds nasty!! I'll bet that's what's been causing your sinus problems!!

Lyzziesmom - nice outfit!! You're looking good in those platforms and bell bottoms! And LOVE the color.

We aren't bringing any furniture. The only 'big' things we would have is our vacuum cleaner (if I brought it) and a couple lamps. My Grandparents have some spare furniture they are giving us, we are throwing everything else out. Other than that, clothes, sheets and mattress pad and comforter, dishes, a couple towels, all our hanging pictures, etc. are what we are bringing. I just think that is too much for our little car, with a dog and 2 cats who need space too...:scared:

Towing the car is what is ending up getting so expensive! We don't have a hitch on our car, we'd have to buy and get one installed, otherwise a little Uhaul trailer would be really cheap!

Then the cartop carrier might work for you and a few boxes shipped.

Hi, Crew!!

I finally got settled into my Dising mode. Just as I signed on, Nathan decided we should look up some cheat codes for one of his PS2 games.

Linda:: Yikes!! The moldy stuff in your basement could well be a source of your sinus/allergy issues. Especially if you've been spending a lot of time downstairs in your Disney room!! I hope you get to feeling better now!!

Ashley:: I'm sure you'll come up with a solution to your moving dilema. We have a hard shell topper from Sears that we've actually never used.

Michele:: Hope your throat gets to feeling better. I was having the same problem a couple of weeks ago. I would just take an ibuprophen; that helped a little. Nope, the sore throat didn't cramp my eating what so ever.

lyzziesmom:: I love the Foxy Cleopatra outfit. Wasn't that the name of the character that Beyonce Knowles played in the last Austin Powers movie?

Lesa:: That's great that Maddie is keeping her room so neat!! Send her my way if she gets bored!!;) Good luck with her testing tomorrow....I'll definitely be thinking of her.

2x2s:: Did you survive another trip to see Sweeney? I haven't seen you post; hope all is still ok.:goodvibes

Well, I think I'll go check out what's happening around the old Dis tonight.:surfweb:

Ashley: Have you actually priced out any moving options yet? I know when I've moved, I ended up with a lot more stuff than I thought I had. Shipping gets VERY expensive. Sometimes if you're lucky enough to find a moving company with a van already heading the same direction, you can use just some of the space in with someone else's stuff (they partition it off so it doesn't get mixed up) and pay a fraction of the cost. I did that when moving from FL to KS and with a 2-br house full of furniture it cost me around $500. Of course it's also cheaper if you pack everything yourself and use your own materials, because that's where they get you. There might also be a Uhaul option that can fit your car behind it? That would probably be even cheaper, I think they even rent the equipment to hook your car up to it. Good luck!

Well we went to the movie and it was pretty cute. Emma was bored but stayed quiet so that was good. She did move around a lot though, she was dancing and at one point I looked at her and she was facedown in her seat with her feet on the back of the seat in front of her! We've never seen more than one other group in this discount theater besides us, and there were about 8 other groups there tonight - it felt positively packed! Three ladies sat behind us and cackled and talked loudly through the whole thing. I mean really, there were only NINE families in the whole theater, and they had to sit directly behind US? Even Emma told them "I can't hear!"

The kids got to bed early and I am dreading tomorrow - it's back to school for Lyzzie and I just realized I forgot to check her backpack (which is at my mom's house) all during break! I hope she wasn't supposed to work on anything!!

'ello dawlings!!

Linda----I am so sorry for your loss of your grandpa!!  I will be thinking of you and your family.

Well, I must admit that I enjoyed Sweeney so much more the second time around. The "shock" value of the story was gone, so I was really able to concentrate on him.:lovestruc :lovestruc pirate: I went out and bought the soundtrack and that is all I've been listening to. Of course, he's singing to ME. hehe
I will never eat shepherd's pie again, though.:lmao:
And for the record, I had salmon for dinner last night. :rolleyes1

I had a mandatory brunch for work this morning, then I came home and slept alot. I have been so weepy lately (esp. today) and I don't know why------I take that back, I do know why, it's just dumb.:sad2: (no, not pms)

anyway, just saying hi and I suppose I'm off to bed ------maybe I'll listen to a little song...maybe that'll cheer me up....

"It's fop.
Finest in the shop.
Or we have some shepherd's pie peppered
With actual shepherd
On top.

And I've just begun.
Here's a politician-so oily
It's served with a doily--
Have one?"
