YM, I love the pics!! Your DS looks great.. Tell him I love his 'cool' pose!! Looks pretty adorable to me!!! ;)

Hey...if you say so...he will be excited to hear that...:cool1: I haven't showed him the pics...he will think he is famous.:rotfl:

Nicole, that is creepy! I've had my share of creepy salesmen, actually Jeremiah & I both have! Teenage girls always seem to remember him when we go to a store frequently. I'm sure he enjoys it though!! Me, I'm just creeped out by all the dorky guys that work at Best Buy :lmao:

Nicole...I agree with Ashley...that is a little creepy. :scared:

Hmmm...Ashley...what are we going to do with Jeremiah?::rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Good morning, Crew!!!

ICK!! We got sleet last night, just when Gary was taking Nathan to ball practice and I was heading out to do some grocery shopping!!!:scared: I decided we had enough food in the house, shut the garage door and went back into my warm cozy house.:rolleyes1

YourMajesty:: You must tell your DS that his pics are so cool!!:cool2: He reminds me of Harrison Ford in American Graffiti.:cool1: Nathan has a pair of shoes like his, too!! (Converse, I think.)
11 days to go for your big trip, Queenie!!! Aren't you getting excited?:yay:

Ashley:: That's awful that you had such problems returning a camera....and for a more expensive one, too!! I didn't realize that Best Buy had a restocking fee, but we don't really buy much from them. Seems Gary has been going to Circuit city quite a bit for the higher ticket items.
Your pics of the "kids" were really very good!!!:thumbsup2 ;)

lyzziesmom:: Your marzipan Santa hats turned out so well!! Looks like Miss Emma is having a hard time letting them just sit there and NOT be eaten!!:rolleyes1 :cutie:

Lesa:: What a pain that you are having more problems with Maddie's testing. I'm getting so frustrated for you!!:headache:
Nathan's school did a Christmas in other countries type program a couple of years ago. I could send Maddie the DVD; she could probably pick out a Hannakuh song......I waas getting pretty tired of hearing them by the end of the evening.:upsidedow
ps....Sorry I couldn't send my warm weather up to you. NOW, take this crap back, wouldya??!!:scared1: :rotfl2:

Well, it's getting late; gotta run!!

How about a last-minute breakfast?

Pecan%20Coffeecake2.jpg

I hope you all have a Fabulous Friday!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: pirate: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Brrrr! I've had enough snow... summer? You can come back now! I miss you.

Donna: That quick breakfast looks yummy. Amazing what you can make with "enough" food in the house, isn't it? ;) Actually I had to laugh, because I did almost the same thing this morning. I was in the car ready to back out of the garage and realized I forgot to put the trash out for collection this morning. I started to get out and then thought, "Oh forget it. We don't have that much trash this week anyway," and stayed in the nice toasty car and headed on my merry way! I didn't feel like hauling the trash can down my slippery driveway in my thin suede boots when we were already running late! Emma arrived at my mom's house in her lovely outfit consisting of pink mittens, her leopard print furry coat (hood on of course), snow boots and footie pj's. I wish I could get away with that! Last time we were out shopping, Lyzzie found a pair of adult size footie pj's and suggested that I buy them. Uh... thanks, maybe next time.

Ashley: That whole "restocking fee" business is such a racket! I'm glad you got the camera you wanted though. Sometimes you just can't settle for something else that won't make you happy. Great pictures! Your Lily is adorable (well of course they all are) - she reminds me quite a bit of Miss Roxy Bonkers -- who is getting pretty fat these days! Pretty soon we'll have to call her Miss Roxy Blubbers.

YM: Cute pics! I like his "moves" -- that's a future blackmail photo for sure. ;)

Nicole: It's always so weird when store employees recognize you. At the grocery store where we used to shop, the lady at the bakery heard me call my kids by name one day and then always called them over whenever we were shopping there. She was a very chatty older woman who might have had a slight mental disability, but she always recognized us and would talk to the kids as if she was their aunt or a close friend - she was nice enough but it always weirded me out a little. When the store closed she kept telling us to come visit her at her new store! Not to take the weird Best Buy guy's side or anything, but I think once a month kind of IS a lot. Maybe because I only go there once a year or so. But the people at Target recognize me, I practically LIVE there! In fact there's one girl at the pharmacy who doesn't even have to ask my name or what meds I'm refilling, she just knows. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

Yesterday when I got to Mom's house to pick up the kids, their bikes were laying out in the driveway. They were riding their bikes in the snow!! Lyzzie and her friend were out sledding in the neighbor's driveway, and when they came in they had an inch of snow piled on top of their heads. Crazy kids. Today is supposed to get rain and ice - oh yay. And apparently Snoop Dog did tomorrow's weather report, because it says, "Frz Drizzle."

Thanks for breakfast Donna. This is certainly a Fabulous Friday for me. More on that later.

lyzziesmom...I'm afraid the weather is just going to get worse. I know we might be getting some ice on Sunday/Monday. :sad2: Luckily we haven't had any freezing stuff so far. By the way those santa hats were very cute.:woohoo:

....Sorry I couldn't send my warm weather up to you. NOW, take this crap back, wouldya??!!
You made me laugh out loud!:rotfl2: :rotfl: Sorry, no can do! :rolleyes1

The thing that upset me the most yesterday was being told they only did a quick screening on Madison and it showed she was at age level for everything. Did she not read the report from the teacher? Knowing Madison she didn't even talk much during the test, so how can she determine anything from a "quick" test?!?!?! Anyway, by the time this is all said and done, they"ll know who I am all the way to the state level.

Ashley...I'm so sorry you had to deal with that at Best Buy! I hate that store with a passion and for that very reason. I swear they tell their employees to say anything to make the sale. Then stand behind them saying there was no way any employee would tell you that. I would most definitely write a letter. If you need help let me know. I've written plenty! I can't believe she walked away from you in mid sentence!

Well I'm off to school. Have a great day everyone!

YM...Your DS is very handsome!

O.k gotta run!

hi kiddies!!!

Once again, quick check in before work. My mom had a dinner party for her neighbor girls the other night and made a huge authentic Italian dinner, so I was summons (is that a word??) over to get some leftovers. Yep, no problem with that. I will travel 20 minutes out of my way for spedieni and ravioli. YUM!!!!! Sorry, YM, no antipasto.:lmao:

My grandma is hanging on in intensive care. My dad even said she ate something yesterday. Chicken broth and ice cream. We'll take that. Maybe a Christmas miracle is in the works. Thanks for all your prayers.

YM----oh my goodness-----DS looked so handsome as a cool dude in his cool duds!!!! He really got into the role, huh??
Why is your Friday being fabulous???? Inquiring minds NEED to know!!!;)

Donna---thanks for the quick breakfast. We got sleet and snow last night too. It took be a good 1/2 hour to scrape off my car after work. Lovely.

Lesa----sorry you are still battling with Maddie's school. I wish they would take the time and do the research. Hopefully they are moving in the right direction, though.
I laughed out loud at Maddie wanting to sing a Hannakuh song for Christmas!!:lmao:

WHERE'S MICHELE??????!!!!!!!:flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

Lyzziesmom----your marzipan Santa hats are adorable!!!!!! Emma really looks like she practicing her restraint skills-------strong girl, I'd say!!!
so cute!!!
So you know who Gloria is, too??:lmao:
There is a sign in our break room at work from one of our stylists trying to "sell" her reservation at a hotel at the Plaza in KC. Evidentally she can't go and wants someone else to be able to. I was tempted, believe me.

Ash------what a pain in the patootee!!! I can't believe Best Buy gave you so much rudeness and trouble. I'm glad you were able to get the S5, though. I know you will love it. Don't let it intimidate you-----the auto setting is wonderful and you'll catch on to the others. I still don't know 1/2 of the settings and I still love it. Your pics are great that you have taken already.

Nicole----I go to Target and Borders so much, that they pretty much know me, too, so don't feel bad.:rotfl:
are you getting excited???!!!

Linda----sounds like you may need a few of us to carry your bags. I'm sure you'd have NO problem convincing any of us stuck in the cold. I heard this morning that Orlando is 80 degrees. ahhhh!!!
give Kenny a hug from me.

just looked at the time----gotta hop in the shower. I am off this weekend, so if everything is all well, I will check in to chat more.

have a great Friday!!!!!!

hi to Amber (and Spencer:angel: ), Pozey, DznyFan, Shannon (I need your address, btw), Maureen, Underdog (good to see you) and anyone else I have missed.

bye kids.:grouphug:

Hey everyone!

Lyzziesmom, those Santa hats are so cute!

Ashley, I would write a letter and explain everything in detail. Don't forget to mention that you would have bought another (more expensive) camera, but you were so upset that you went to the competition.

Have fun with the camera. It looks really nice (I was going to get an S3, but decided on a DSLR).

Lesa, it just never ends does it? Who would think it would be so hard to get a child help?

YM, love the pictures.

2x2s, glad to hear your grandmother was able to eat.

I had a doctor's appointment this morning. I gained weight  but I am still under my pre-pregnancy weight. I get to have more blood tests and I have another appointment in two weeks. She said everything looked good.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

2x2s: Glad your grandma's hanging on. We'll all help you hope for a Christmas miracle. When I was 10 my grandpa had a bad time on all the holidays. He had a heart attack on Thanksgiving, a stroke on Christmas, and then passed away on New Year's. I don't know why I just told you that, except that it just popped into my head. I'm sorry, it probably didn't make you feel any better. I hope your grandma does better than my grandpa did! Hmmm, I wonder why your coworker doesn't just cancel her KC reservation? The Plaza is really nice this time of year with all the lights - but expensive! Don't hurt yourself hopping in the shower now, 'k? ;)

ERRRRRRR!!! My darling daughter makes it so hard to teach a lesson to! Our rule for her in middle school is...if you try your best and get below a B, great! However if you don't put any effort into school and bring home below a B your grounded until next progress report comes out and you've brought it up above a B. Tough I know, but trust me, with even the smallest of effort this child is a straight A student. ;) Well since the beginning of this year she has put forth not an ounce of effort. She's only brought home maybe 5 pieces of homework all year, and has not studied for one test. In fact she has brought home several tests to be signed. So she's been counting down the days until her report card comes home cause she knows she's going to be grounded. She brings her report card home and darn it if she didn't get all A's & B's and is on the honor roll again!:scared1: How can we teach her the importance of studying if she never has to and still is able to pull being on the honor roll. :headache: Damn kid! :rotfl2:

Lesa: That sounds like me in school. I never studied because I usually didn't have to and still got As and Bs. I never did properly learn how to study. I always figured if I didn't know the material the day before the test, I wasn't going to learn it overnight so why bother? The only way I knew how to study was just to re-read the material, and that bored me. I didn't put forth much effort towards school, and never really had to "try" for good grades. I'd guess is you have a very smart young lady on your hands!

I still have horrible work habits, but manage to get the job done.

Lesa, I was just like Lyzziesmom. I never studied, but still got A's. I don't learn by reading something over and over. Instead, I would listen to the teacher and then repeat back what she said to my little brother. I would babysit him Saturday mornings, so he got to learn all about psychology and physics. Since he was an infant, he couldn't tell me to shut up. :rotfl:

Congrats to Britt (even if se doesn't study).

Hey everyone!

I did write Best Buy- I'm not sure how well I did on the letter, it was kind of long  and I was pretty pissed at their response! It was just an automated thing, it said:

Thank You for contacting Best Buy.

This message was automatically generated in an attempt to answer your question as quickly as possible.

Due to high email volumes, we will be unable to reply to your email within our normal 24 hour response time. We understand that timeliness is important - especially this time of the year. Best Wishes,

   So I guess they would just ignore the letter unless I replied to THAT one, (which I did.) I don't really want to call- I'm not good on the phone. So, I'm not sure what to do next! :confused3

I was just feeding Ruby and the whole bag of dog food spilled on the floor. :rolleyes1 Talk about a huge mess!! Ruby must have thought she was in heaven. I think its time for a new food container, thats the second time this has happened!!

Lyzziesmom, you wouldn't believe how small Lily actually is! She still looks like a kitten. I think its because when we got her she was very sick and I think it stunted her growth. She eats ALOT, but it goes nowhere! Wish I was like that ;) Buddy on the other hand is HUGE and he is the baby....:rolleyes1 You should see my Mom's cats! Talk about HUGE! Buddy doesn't even compare to them! (Hi Sam and Kramer  )

Amber, glad your appointment went well!! Don't worry about the weight gain. When is your furniture going to be delivered?

Lesa, boy is Britt lucky that she barely has to study and gets great grades!! I was like that with some subjects, but I am HORRIBLE at Math. :headache:

Hey 2x!!! We miss you!! Your Mom's dinner sounds delicious...do they have a drool smiley anywhere??

I agree!! Where is Michele??? :flower:

Hi to everyone else!! I'm so happy its Friday. :woohoo:

P.S Why do I use so many smileys??!!

I just want one chance to say "see if only you would have studied"!:rotfl2: She is lucky everything comes so easy to her. The one thing that I can't figure out is, she got a B in reading and that is all the kid does is read. :confused3 She must go through 3 books a week.

Ashley good for you writing a letter. I would along with your email physically mail it to both the headquarters and the district manager of the store. Ruby must have been in hog heaven!:rotfl2:

Not sure where Michele is....maybe her new found love....scrapbooking? :confused3 I have not heard from her either! :snooty:
