Hey Linda... don't forget that the 50lb. weight limit is per bag. You can have either 2 or 3 bags each, I think each airline has slightly different rules so you should look it up on your airlines website. Even if it's 2 each, that includes Kenny and you can still have 2 carryons plus a personal item like a purse or laptop each - so that's at least 300 lbs. not even counting carryons. I think you'll be able to do it! Oh, and I've seen people check big cardboard boxes as luggage. Just pack your tree or whatever inside and tape it up good and label it with your name & phone number and make sure it's not overweight - they will put it right in with the checked luggage! Just some thoughts. Good luck getting some sleep this week! Sometimes when I'm really excited or nervous the Ambien doesn't even work. Then it does funny things to me - it will look like things are moving when they really aren't, like people in pictures look like they are talking and waving silently and in slow motion. It would be very creepy if it weren't so amusing!

All the snow today finally put me into the holiday spirit and I started my goodie-making. I made marzipan Santa hats and I think they came out pretty cute.

Emma was so disappointed that she couldn't eat any! The marzipan was really expensive and it only made 10, and I wanted to save them for Christmas.

Madison had me searching online for a Hanukkah song she learned in music today, only she couldn't remember the name or any of the words. We never did find it. Now she wants me to talk to her music teacher to find out what it is called. She wants to sing it for Christmas.

The only Hanukkah song I know is the dreidel song, and I only know one line!

Emma is constantly asking me to sing songs that she learns at preschool, but she won't tell me what they are. She'll say, "Sing the goodbye song!" and then when I take a stab at it, she yells at me that it's not right. Her favorite, that she DID tell me, is "The Tree Song." I suspect she made it up. It goes:

Hi everyone!

Ohh, I'm so mad right now!! Jeremiah & I decided we did want to get the Canon S5. When we bought the Kodak on Black Friday at Best Buy I made sure to ask the sales associate if the restocking fee applies to this sale and he assured me that no, it didn't apply to this because of the holiday season and I would have on problem exchanging it if I needed to. The only reason I even purchased the camera was because he told me this- I didn't have enough time to reserach the camera because we only had heard about it from the sales ad we got on Thursday. Anyway, we go to return the camera tonight and they told me that they would charge me the 15% restocking fee. I got really annoyed Then the 'manager' came over. She asked me to describe the person that told me this and I told her. She was so smug and nasty that I was really getting angry She kept insinuating that I was making this up so I wouldn't have to pay the fee, she kept telling me nobody works there that meets that description. I kept telling her how I was paying for a MUCH more expensive camera, how I shopped there all the time and even had a Best Buy credit card. She said that there are display cameras and its there to compare the different ones they sell. But if they actually WORKED and the batteries weren't always dead then maybe I could do that! Like I'm going to compare the cameras at 4am on Black Friday, and they don't even have that camera on display anyways! I guess I was getting upset but I was still calm and she basically threatened that she "Didn't have to help me at all." Then she went to the back to supposedly ask the main manager for premission to not charge the restocking fee and he said no, and then she just walked away while I was in the middle of a sentence!! I was shocked. I was so upset I had to leave the store, I can't believe how she treated me and how she made me feel!! We ended up returning it and going to Circuit City, where I got them to meet Best Buy's price and found a $15 dollar off coupon, so we only ended up losing about $15. (Still, thats two drinks on the cruise! What a waste of time and energy.)

I really want to write to the corporate office but I don't know what to say!! I'm not sure why she was so snobby or treated me so disrespectfully, but I sure don't appreciate it. I don't even want to shop at Best Buy anymore!

Anyways, I am happy with the new camera so far. I think it will take much better quality pics! I just have to practice some, it is more advanced than what I'm used to!

Ashley...so sorry to hear about the trouble you had trying to return your camera. You did the right thing taking your business elsewhere. I can't believe they were going to charge you a restocking fee when you were going to turn right around and buy a more expensive camera. By the way those pictures are wonderful...especially after looking at mine.

Ashley- Wow, that manager was rude! I would write a letter, that kind of service is horrible. Your new camera takes great pics! I have a funny yet creepy Best Buy story- When I was there on Saturday buying my laptop, the guy sitting at the security desk in the front said "Hey you're in here all the time" I said no, not really. Then he asked me when the last time I was in there was and I said Black Friday. He said that I in fact was there all the time then. I mean there was a time there for awhile that Steven and I were there almost every weekend, but that was a few months ago. We only go there maybe once a month now. So that kinda creeped me out.

She was trying to tell me that they would lose money by not charging me the restocking fee- but I seriously doubt that- even with an 'open box' price, I'm sure they will charge more for it than what I bought it for on Black Friday, even with losing the restock fee! It is just ridiculous. I didn't want to let her 'win' and return it minus the restocking fee- but I didn't want to have a crappy camera either, so I had no choice...

It's a bad thing, being stubborn! Luckily Jeremiah doesn't care and he went back in and just returned it!

Nicole, that is creepy! I've had my share of creepy salesmen, actually Jeremiah & I both have! Teenage girls always seem to remember him when we go to a store frequently. I'm sure he enjoys it though!! Me, I'm just creeped out by all the dorky guys that work at Best Buy
