I have to be over there on Jan 28, my parents and I will be driving over there (I'm taking my car up there). I'm not sure if Steven will be able to take me up there too, he might not be able to get the time off. He wants to save all his time off to come and see me later on. It ends on Aug 15. I've got so much stuff I need to get in order!

I was wondering if Steven was going to go with you, or if he even could... at least he can come visit That is so awesome! I know you're thrilled. You've been dying to find out!!

When I had Nathan at the drs. office Monday, the nurse commented that Nathan had grown 5 1/2inches and gained 27lbs since last February!! I was like "WHAT!!" It turns out it was actually since Feb.2006.

that is still pretty darn good! Wow...I'd probably faint if Kenny grew that quickly!! Kenny had to go weigh himself after I told him this and he says he weighs 37# lightweight!!!

Come see me! I'm sure I'll be lonely there, and it will be good to see someone I know.

Lyzziesmom- I wish I could hook you up with a discount on the room, but we would be arriving around the same time so I wouldn't be working yet.

I don't want to know who my roommates are because I've heard you might not be able to select how many people you want to live with(I want 4 or 5 roommates) and which apt. complex you want. I want to live in Chatham, which I hear is not the party complex!!!

Linda: I can't believe Kenny is only 37 lbs. Lyzzie is 70 lbs. and little Emma is 32 lbs!

My dad is really pushing for me to take my vacation, because he wants to go on a cruise with my mom. Now he offered to pay for airfare for BOTH the girls as our Christmas present! Only one catch -- I "can't" go alone with them. I had mentioned how it's not so fun for just the three of us, since Emma's too little for many of the rides and she takes long naps, during which there is nothing for Lyzzie and I to do. So Dad said IF I can find someone to go with us, he will pay for their airfare. Otherwise, they will take their cruise a couple months later (after my AP has expired) and I'll have to take the time off work to be with the girls anyway, but won't get to go anywhere. This is driving me crazy!!

I think I got some good pictures of the girls tonight but they were pretty squirmy and the lighting was not too good, so we'll see. I'm sure I got at least one I can use.

Hey everyone else!!!


Well, Mike's boss came down yesterday and spoke with him. He basically said that Mike wasn't doing enough (because working 12-14 hours days isn't enough) and that the company is unwilling to hire more people or supply more vehicles. Mike was also told that he needed to increase business (even though they don't have enough people to handle accounts as it is). Mike will not be getting the raise and bonus he was promised either. The guy then had the nerve to tell Mike that if he (Mike) needed anything to just ask. Needless to say, Mike has not be happy at all. He kills himself trying to do everything and is told he is doing a bad job.

I did find a couple of job openings, so hopefully one of those pan out. We are looking into buying a cheap car for the time being (since we only have one) so he can get out of his company. I am going to love the day he can quit and they see how much he really does do.

I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out a way to get to WDW in January, but it's just not going to happen. The only way would be for me to take the both the girls, but with Emma being still so little it just wouldn't be enjoyable, Lyzzie would have to skip all her favorite rides or ride them alone. Dang it all. It figures, I have the chance to go for VERY cheap, with both of their airfares paid for, a great AP room rate, Lyzzie & I still have our AP's... and I can't go. I did manage to work WDW into the conversation with the girls yesterday (talking about past trips) and Lyzzie was complaining about how it's not fun when it's the three of us. I'm seriously considering doing it anyway, and to heck with her favorites. I have to skip MY favorites too, and there are still a ton of fun things we can all do together, it just would have to be a different kind of trip.

Is the DIS running super slow for anyone else this morning, or is it just me? My work computer is acting buggy, but other websites are fine just the DIS is taking several minutes to load.

Oh my gosh, what is wrong with people?!

We got a piece of mail at work. The address first of all was all messed up. It had only the city and state, no zip code, and a PO Box scribbled off to the side. I opened it, and the envelope contained a letter from a credit card company to a man who doesn't work here, detailing his dispute process over 40-some bucks. The man wrote ON the letter all about how he isn't paying it, and that they can call his bank and he included copies of his bank statement and blank checks so they could get his bank information!! He also photocopied his credit card and put that in there too. You could tell it was an elderly man by the handwriting. I was flabbergasted that in this day and age, not only would someone be so ignorant as to how a credit card works (why would they need to call his bank?) but to include all that stuff and then horribly misaddress the envelope is practically inviting identity theft! That man is VERY lucky his letter reached an honest person -- I marked it "return to sender" -- and not someone else. I mean, credit card #'s, bank account #'s, and blank checks... oh my!

A girl in one of my classes said on Tuesday someone had been using her debit card in NYC, and drained her account. She's planning her wedding, so you know she had a good amount of money in there.

I have no idea why all of a sudden they are doing this. It doesn't make any sense at all. He was going to leave before and they offered him more money to stay.

A few months ago, the other salesman was going to quit and they called both him and Mike. That is when Mike got his current raise. At that meeting, they also told him he could hire a salesperson and after he was trained, Mike would become sales manager (only). He was given the info on the raise and bonus. However, after Mike hired someone, they kept pushing off when Mike could let him be salesman. After a while, that guy quit (due to other reasons) and Mike was back to square one. He was allowed to hire someone about a month ago and move another person into sales training. Still, they won't give Mike an actual date that he can stop doing both jobs. If they keep pushing it off, then they don't have to give him a raise or bonus.

He doesn't have a specific list of what needs to be done. However, Mike has worked here for years and went from being a driver to sales manager. He knows every aspect of the company, so he is well aware of what needs to be done. He goes above and beyond for the accounts (even ones that aren't his) and love him (some just hate his company). Even yesterday, Mike wasn't told what he was doing wrong (just that he needs to expand business and that things needed to improve).

Yesterday, his boss completely blamed everything on the owner. He even told a district manager of an account that everything was the owners fault, but that he was trying to fix it.

Mike just called and wants to hand in his resignation tomorrow. He said he'll work two jobs if needed, but he just can't keep doing this. So, I am scared about what's going to happen, but I really don't think Mike can handle staying here much longer. I'm going to talk to him more about it tonight.
