Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Dznyfan - I am glad I am not your niece in law. My MiL started out that way when we got engaged but luckily it was short lived. I didn't keep my mouth shut. I don't think she liked that I would say things at first but now all of that is old news and I am glad I got it all out in the open.

I just got back from the Gap outlet. They have some great bargains if anyone is on the hunt.

Talking about MILs and sons - I HOPE I'm not one of "those" MILs when my day comes. My dear sister is - I feel sorry some times for her new DIL (who bless her heart is only 18). Sis seems to think that she knows everything about how to cook (and other things) and is insistent that everything her new DIL does is the wrong way, and "here let me show you how to do it right". AAAARRGGHHH! I'd go nuts. :sad2: The girl was over here with my nephew about 2 months ago right after they got married, they were making Queso, and she was telling me (as she was opening a roll of sausage) that when she was opening a roll of sausage at my sis's house to make same Queso, that my sister said that she was opening the sausage wrong!!! IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOU OPEN A ROLL OF SAUSAGE!!! She said my sister had the grand plan to go to their church and give cooking lessons to all the new young newlywed girls.....
Anybody need a sister?

I think the best thing to remember as a MIL (this comes from a friends MIL) is know when not to say anything. Say you're asked "How should I open the roll of sausage"? :teeth: Well then give your 2cents. My plan is be as helpful as they want me to be (when I'm not at WDW) and offer to watch the kids one weekend a month. :thumbsup2 Oh...and pray, pray, pray!!

Nicole, good luck with your surgery. It doesn't sound too traumatic, but surgery is always a hard time.

DznyFan, your sister sounds like an awful MIL! That story reminds me of the mom on Everybody Loves Raymond.

Well we are obviously back from the Disney Store, we had a really fun time. It was in an outdoor shopping plaza, sort of like Downtown Disney but of course not as clean, and they did have traffic areas going through the shopping area, so I had to keep the girls under control. We got there and I realized that the stroller is at my parents' house, oh no! We managed ok though and had a great time. I'll post pictures in a minute.

While I was loading up our gift cards - Lyzzie and I both met our goals for spending money, yay! - Emma was busy practicing her teenager skills.
August2006066.jpg

We then waited in a huge line to see Mickey, and I remembered my least favorite part of Disney - waiting in a hot line with a squirmy toddler.
August2006067.jpg

But as soon as Emma got a glimpse of the Big Cheese...
August2006072.jpg

...she changed her tune.
August2006070.jpg

It was nice that they had someone there to take pictures, so I actually got to be in one with both the girls!
August2006077.jpg

Emma had a nice talk with the Mouse.
August2006078.jpg

On our way to lunch, Emma stopped to smell the flowers. In EVERY planter we passed.
August2006079.jpg

The girls enjoyed a popsicle for dessert.
August2006084.jpg

Emma used hers to do her best impression of a vampire.
August2006083.jpg

She had a different idea of how to wear her Mickey ears.
August2006086.jpg

Lyzzie spotted some Hidden Mickeys in the ice cream store and took a picture.
August2006087.jpg

It was a long, fun and tiring afternoon!

The End.

Hi everyone!

I just got back from the mall. I found a shirt that I think I'll get next weekend and I think I'll be all done for trip shopping! And guess what else I got- the Athens flip flops by Crocs! They are sooo comfortable. I put them on as soon as I got them, and my knee even stopped hurting! Maybe it has to do with arch support? Cause these ones have it, and my other flip flops dont! I also want to get another pair of regular Crocs, if I have the money before the trip. I was going to get them today, but they didn't have any my size. I need a size small and they only had extra small in all the colors! The guy said they go pretty fast.

Hope everyone's having a great Saturday!! :sunny:

Lyzziesmom- glad you had a great day at the Disney Store- I gotta tell you, I love the pics ESPECIALLY the one of Miss Emma on the phone!!!!! :rotfl: (you already know what she'll look like when she gets older... ;) )

Linda - what a CUTE picture of Kenny - way to go, mom, on making it through the day without crying. DD will be a senior in high school next year, and I think I'll be crying every day through the whole school year. And I remember like it was yesterday her first day of kindergarten! Funny about not wanting to take a nap... he's BIG now, you know?
Well, we didn't get the lake property. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.[/QUOTE

I'll attempt to catch up.. :) Mike is watching the Nascar race so I can spend some time on the DIS I still can't believe he's in REAL school!! The senior year would be tough too...and expensive!! Senior pictures....formals.... all the fun stuff! Yeah, he thinks he's a big boy;)!! Sorry you didn't get the property...that was pretty rude they didn't even ask if you wanted to counter offer! :confused3

Linda--Kenny looks as if he is ready to face the world!! Naps are necessary, no matter what age you are.
Most definitely!!

DonnaLeah said:
Linda::As usual, Kenny's picture is ADORABLE!! Too old for a nap huh?? DS hasn't taken naps since he was 4, unless he is sick. Kenny may/may not be outgrowing them.(Probably not!!)
Some kids are ok w/o them...but Kenny is a little bear if he doesn't get his nap...he usually doesn't get them at his dads and.... oh my...you can tell! He's so tired and grumpy...doesn't listen.... so, I think I'll try to keep him in the routine for another year. I wish I could get a nap sometimes too...plus he's use to getting up at around 6am.... so I think that is earlier than most kids!!

Linda...I forgot to mention Kenny's picture...He's so sweet! Hope the rest of the week goes ok.
He is a sweetie!! His first week went great. The principal called Friday b/c his dad had to call and see about shipping him to preschool on Fridays and they wouldn't let him w/o my consent :teeth: He picked Kenny up Thurs. night as usual...and we told him what time his class started and ended and his reply was "Well.... does he HAVE to attend?"...uh...DUH...YES!!! This is real school now YES he has to attend :sad2: Hope your week went well too!!

DznyFan.... LOVE the pix of your daughter :rotfl: boy if she saw them... :teeth: ...I'll never tell;)!! Love the one on the verandah though!! Kenny's closet is getting ready for him so he can spend the next 25 years in there! Hehe

Michele...thanks..I try to set a good example for Kenny;)!!
How is Matt doing?? Better I hope! That is one thing about having a boy that I do worry about!! Sports injuries...girls have them too... but they're usually not quite as rough as boys!42-0...I bet he wanted to play so bad!!

lyzziesmom...I know what you mean...some of us moms DO have to work! I'm gone 12 hrs a day now and I hate never being able to do more but...it is what it is and they'll have to get over it! Don't let it get to you.Cool Lyzzie won't have any homework while on vacation!!

Hey Linda--where've ya been?? I was thinking about you today. I need my Kenny fix.

Between taking on more at work...trying to get them to let me work from home...Kennys first week of school... my x...being...himself...I've been going  !! Friday my boss did talk to corporate about me working from home :woohoo: no definite yet but doesn't sound like it'll be a problem. My big boss is just so old fashioned... I don't need to drive 75 miles to work on stuff I do for other offices anyway. I can do everything I do there from here just as easy!!! So I asked them if I could work from home at least 3 days a week... so we'll see! My ex took me back for child support review.... he totally lied about his income so it went from $800 a month to $119 :furious: He said he was unemployed and has no income :sad2: thankfully he did work here so I know everyone at corporate and he now works for our sister co. so I know them too :teeth: so I have to appeal the results and have a hearing! It is total b.s!! He really makes me sick...literally!! Then every other Friday I get Kenny back at 6pm... Friday he calls at 4:45pm saying I wont get Kenny til 8 or 9 b/c his wife got in a wreck and he's headed to the hospital  ... but he ended up taking him right home since Mike was home...he was there before I got home from work :cloud9: !! Don't know if she's ok or not but thankfully Kenny wasn't w/her!

Dizzylove...join the croud !!

Lyzziesmom...love the Disney Store pix!!! Need another babysitter??

Last night we went to the football game and our friend gave me a disc w/all her wedding photos from last weekend!!! Plus Kenny's tattoo pix made it in the newspaper!!! :cloud9: It said "tough guy... Kenny Monty shows off his Orange Co. Choppers tattoo"... My mom told me about it but I don't have a copy yet!!! He's such a ham!!!

I put some from the wedding in my photobucket link.. It was a great time! The lady that took the pix is my nephews grandma... her youngest grandchild is a senior this year..she adores Kenny and she was so excited when we told her he's in soccer..now they all want to go watch him play soccer :cheer2: He'll be the youngest player w/the most fans in the crowd!!! Last night they had him a t-shirt of our school team and a pin of our nephew for him to wear...too cute!!
Today we took him to the school carnival...he loved that! He jumped and bounced and went down the big air slide 50 times... had cotton candy, popcorn, horse rides, hot dogs and hamburgers...sno cones and pop... games..and can you believe it was all FREE!! It was so awesome. He got his face painted and he was in 7th heaven all day!!

Man oh man...I'm gonna have to go 2x2s on you guys... :teeth: ... I hear the crickets around me so I'll just have to have a conversation w/myself!!

:chat: :bored:

Hmmm. what sounds good for breakfast??? Man...wish Donna really lived around here :rolleyes1 ... wish several of them lived close by...I could go to Disney Store w/Lyzzie and Emma.... Kenny could charm Courtney ;) .... he could flirt w/2x2s...heck...he'd be flirting w/all the ladies :smooth: !!! Oh boy...76 laps left in the race..I don't think I'm gonna make it...I'm tired!! Mike is going to have to watch it alone!! Yeah...he's been watching it alone all night I guess. I've been here on the computer :teeth: !! Nighty night!!! Time to go to sleep for me!!

Linda, those pictures are precious! I love the dancing one, it looks like they are having such a good time. And the one of you and Kenny.... you have the same smile! You have a very beautiful little family. Nice to see you again, btw!

Hey everyone, since we're all showing off pictures of our kids, :teeth:

Here's one I took of Ruby tonight at PetsMart with my phone camera:

rubypetsmart.jpg

Ashley, that's so cute that Ruby sits in the cart! Sometimes I'll take the kids to PetSmart or Petco just to look at other people's pets... the girls love it, and most people love showing off their dogs to the kids so it's totally win-win!

Lyzziesmom,

Ruby LOVES it when people (especially little kids) want to pet her!! We always go there, even when we don't need anything. The employees know us! Petco & PetsMart are really fun to go to. (Except I have to be careful at the adoption fairs. I always want to bring home a new pet!!)

 Ashely...I have a question for you. What kind of dog food do you feed Ruby? Our new dog, Sophie, is doing great. She is a little overweight but doesn't really seem to like the food we are giving her. It's Nutro lamb and rice. The boys were very worried tonight because it's raining and they didn't want her to sleep out. We have a great covered patio that she was snoozing away on but the kids wouldn't go to sleep....so she's snoozing on the wood floor right now. :cloud9:

I feed her Science Diet or Eukanuba. I actually still feed her Puppy food because they say to feed them puppy food until they are 1 year old, and shes not 1 until October 8 (Mine, Ruby's, and Lyzziesmom's birthday!) She sometimes gets sick of them so I switch it up sometimes. The vet recommended both of them.

She also LOVES the Beneful dog wet food! It seriously looks like human food. It has vegetables and chunks of meat in it. I bet Sophie would love it!

P.S. If you think she is overweight, Science Diet has "Science Diet Lite" that is for overweight pets (Different kinds for cats & dogs). My mom uses it for her cats because they are pretty overweight! And they love the food, it doesn't taste any different than the other kinds to them.

Maybe I will try to Science Diet Lite. I couldn't believe how many rows of dog food they had the Pet Smart. She did look a little heavy but the vet confirmed she was a little overwt...but didn't make a big deal about it. Our last dog ate bil-jac and/or kibbles and bits. Thanks for the suggestions. :)

APRIL-- how is everything going girie?? We've missed your company!! Hope everything is working out in all aspects for you and know that we are thinking of you!! BIG HUGS--my smilies went to bed already.
Hi 2x2s. Thanks so much for asking :sad1: . Things are "just" going, I guess. I am ready to be back in my home. This is REALLY taking a toll on me! :sad2: Because the whole house is being repainted (including closets) everything in the closets were either boxed up (like shoes) or laid out on the bed. Including my wedding dress and all clothes that were hanging in the closet plus some stuff that was up on the shelves. My bed is piled down!! Can't even see it. On top of that the bed is pushed into the middle of the bedroom floor along with the dresser and hope chest and a few boxes. The other day I was home while the painter was there and I noticed that the drop cloth on my bed had somehow slid off leaving my stuff exposed!! I walked in there and said something like, "I know you're a professional but I'm going to just cover this over." It was a good thing I did because just as I was about to pull the drop cloth back up over the stuff I noticed there was white ceiling paint drops on my comforter in two places, my husband's khakis and 2 drops on his NAVY BLUE pants! :furious: We quickly got it off but that is just plain careless. Then one of the guys has the nerve to say to me that when I'm finished getting my clothes off the bed I need to make sure the drop cloth is always put back in place!! Um, I had not been in there and the drop cloth was already off the bed and if the stupid painter didn't see that before he started painting in there. . . . !!!!! Oh, and I'm getting the feeling these contractors are just like all the other self-employed contractors I've heard about (disclaimer: sorry if any of you here are contractors or married to one or dating one or children/nieces/nephew to one). I'm sure you've heard the stereotypes and they're at my house now!! They show up at 11:00 in the morning. Then break for lunch at 2:00pm. Because we aren't staying there they stay until real late at night when it's dark. How can you see what kind of job you're doing in the dark??? Last night we stopped by at around 10:00pm and they were gone which was fine by me because I just wanted to get enough clothes so I don't have to go back (to my OWN home) today because it tears my nerves up!! Anyway, I notice there is paint on two of my cabinets!! What are they just going to leave it there? AND, I have a border that I want saved so they are supposed to paint up to it. Well, there's paint on it! Alls I can say is there better be a way to get it all off because I am going to be going off!! My DH thinks it's best that I stay away while the work is being done. He thinks (that because they're professionals and came highly recommended) that it will all be pulled together in the end. Me, I'm just aggravated that I feel they have no respect for my stuff! We've been staying at my mother in laws and she has no computer and NO t.v! But I just appreciate the fact that she's letting us stay there. Friday night and last night, however, I decided to stay at my sisters where she does have several t.v.s and a computer. We had looked into getting a hotel room for two nights just so we could have some alone time but apparently there was some boxing match going on in Dover (the state Capitol and the town right next to us) at Dover Downs and all rooms were booked solid! Everything was sold out! Living like this is really starting to take it's toll. It's not even like I have suitcases because they are all packed away in storage because we weren't supposed to have to leave. We thought he was going to do one room at a time and we'd move stuff as he got to that room but he's taken over all rooms. The contract says the job was to be finished today. Well, let's just say it will be a miracle of epic proportions for that to happen.

Sorry guys, I don't even know what's been happening here. I've not read anything for awhile as I've not had a computer. Hope all is going well in your worlds. :grouphug:

Hope to be back soon. Sadly, some of the new people don't even know me. :guilty: They'll be like, "Who's this nut? :confused3

Talk to you all soon and say a prayer for me.

Prayers are being sent to you right now April!! (And somepixie dust, too! pixiedust: ) I can't imagine having to leave my home for that long so the painters could paint. Hoping it will all be over soon!!! And this is from all of us!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I have not posted for a couple of days. My DH has to return to AZ to see his mom. I don't know if some of you remember or not when DH and DS visited her right before our Orlando trip. Well, she was scheduled for back surgery the following week. (This was scheduled after DH had already gotten the plane tickets.) Anyway, long story short, she is not doing as well as expected and is talking of asisted living/nursing homes. DH felt it was important to get out there and try to help her out if necessary. DH also has 2 sisters in other states. None are near to AZ!!! We are trying to convince MIL to either come here to live with us, or find a place near us. She has asthma, never wanted back in this area.(She is originally from here) Dh talked to her last night and seemed pretty perceptive to the idea, so I may have my MIL living with us soon.
NOW TO CATCH UP!!!
Ashley:: I vote a thumbs up :thumbsup2 on the cute top!! It will be perfet for your special dinner!!! Adorable pic of Ruby as well!!

Linda::Loved seeing the wedding pictures! Kenny is so photogenic!! Shame on your ex for the crap he is pulling!!!

Lyzziesmom::Your adventure to the Disney Store looked like fun!!! Loved the pic of you and the girls with The Big Cheese!!! I found the hidden mickeys in the ball machine!!! Do I win a prize??
And yeah, that MM on the breakfast the other morning did look a little strange. Kind of like one of those generic things you get out of a crank machine or something!!! :rotfl2: Oh and what will you be doing this time next week????

Precious Pixie:: You get to go home for a visit!!! Good for you, enjoy the trip!!

Mommyintn::The picture of your Dad and DS were too funny!! What a good sport you DDad is!!! The Christmas pics were the best!!
