Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

YM: thanks for the heads-up on POTC3. I don't think the tentacle thing would bother Lyzzie, it would probably be more of a squealing "eeeeeeewwww!" moment, but the others should be ok as long as she knows to expect it. I really wish I could see it before Lyzzie does, but the only way to do that would be to wait for it to come out on DVD and I can NOT do that!!

Ashley: that's too funny about the gmail ad! I know Google will autogenerate ads based on text found on the page, so that's probably what happened. I've seen some weird ones here on the DIS! Of course I tend to read the threads with odd headlines that get my attention, and only read the actual Disney-related threads when I need info.

Nicole: I heard about that birth scene! There was an article about the movie on slate.com and it was pretty interesting, talking about how the writer of the movie doesn't really flesh out the female characters and the birth scene seemed like his way of making up for it, or something. It was neat to read and didn't really give away too much of the plot.

I was just getting ready to turn off my computer and go to bed, and a big fat housefly landed on my computer monitor and completely freaked me out!!

HI!!!

I was fighting a migraine all last week, so was unable to use the computer since it seemed that it made it worse. My neck has been bothering me lately and I think this is where my headaches are stemming from. So, needless to say, I went to work and came home and crashed.

My guests came last weekend and I had a great time----I hope they did too. We did see POTC3-----and all I have to say is YUM!!!:lmao: There is one scene that I wished I were stuck on that ship!!!!!!;) ;) Those who have seen it know what I mean.

We were sitting contently watching the movie and there was a scene that the screen went blank. At first it was okay, since it was part of the movie, then it never came back on. Seems as though a storm knocked out the power in a number of theaters. Lovely. I couldn't believe it!!!! Here I have friends who come in from out of town to see this movie with me and a storm hits and knocks the power out. Luckily it was only part of the theater, so we were able to get into another-----the only thing-----we had to start from the beginning. But, it allowed for a potty break and some popcorn.popcorn:: Too bad my dear JD hadn't made his appearance yet, but we got to see the frozen toe TWICE.  -----I turned my head the second time.:lmao:

Seems as though I missed some birthdays----so

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO

MISS EMMA!!!!

Princess_Cake-2.jpg

(ignore the --ILY and insert --MA:cutie: )

AND KYLE AND COLLEEN!!!! (have a drinky poo for me;) )

(ignore Lisa---on the cake---not our Lesa:laughing: )

I hope everyone is doing well.

I must run now----I am going to brunch at the Art Museum.:snooty: :snooty: :rolleyes1

have a good day.

p.s.---I went to see Shrek3 yesterday----too cute!!!

Good Morning ALL!!!

I have been so busy lately. I get on here and read what everyone else has posted but as soon as I try and post something I get in the middle of it, get called away for something and by the time I make it back someone else is on the computer and I have lost my post:mad:

School is almost out here...the 8th graders had their last school day Friday. They come back Monday for breakfast and their graduation ceremony. The grad is in the auditorium in the HS, when it is over we bar the doors to the MS and won't let them back in:rolleyes1 Classes are still going for the 6th and 7th graders but the 8th graders always want to come in and visit:confused3 Hello you haven't been gone that long!!!

Friday was "Freshman Friday" All of next years seniors pick an incoming freshman, Thurs night they went out and 'decorated' their houses. I will have to post the pic of what they did to our house...toilet paper everywhere, string around my shrubs, plastic knives and forks in the lawn, shredded paper all over ( Blake actually had to use his shop vac and vacuum the lawn to get most of that up) and shaving cream. Zach was Nick's senior so nothing rude was written when he was here but I understand that our house was hit in at least 3 waves, so each time they added to it. Someone wrote Bow Down in shaving cream on the front steps. Zach wrote on the sidewalk...Can't wait for Disney!!:thumbsup2

After school the seniors drove around pelting kids with water balloons and super soakers. We had administrators, teachers and police outside the school but the problem is the 8th graders WANT to get it. They think it's cool.

Tuesday the 8th graders are going on their Cedar Point trip...I can't wait...I'm going too!!:woohoo:

Then the last day for the rest of the kids will be Wed, they get out at 11. I won't get home til 3 or 4. The PTA is serving us lunch, then we have to clear out all the crap the kids left in their lockers, clean out the fridge in the staff lounge and get the school ready to be shut down for the summer.

Friday night was the 8th grade dinner/dance. Nick went and looked sharp, he is such a great kid. I wouldn't chaperone to give him his space but I don't think I needed to worry. Nick refused to dance, he said the way the kids were dancing was just wrong!! One of the dads that was their said that the only thing these kids were missing was a POLE!!!:scared1:

I am going to post this and try and come back later for more...

Have a great Sunday

Good morning, Crew!! Hi, 2x2s and Michelle, it's good to see you both today!!

2x2s:: I hope you get rid of your migraines and start to feeling better. How fortunate that you were able to catch another showing of POTC3!!pirate: That would have been VERY disappointing to have not been able to see the movie.:sad1:

Michele:: The same thing happens to me; I come home from work and read the days' posts, but I just can't seem to find the right time to post!! (And I only have ONE kid!!:rotfl2: )
Your days at school sound very challenging and I hope they fly by really fast so that you can enjoy your time at WDW and Vero Beach!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
BTW...the pics of Lilly from last weekend were A D O R A B L E, as usual!!:cutie:

So, is anyone hungry this morning?? DznyFan was supposed to eat at the Crystal Palace last night for dinner; perhaps we can squeeze in a CP breakfast this morning!!pooh:

What a yummy looking breakfast!!! Thank you Donna!

Blake and I are on our way to Home Depot, yippee:rolleyes:

Check in later:yay:

HI 2X!! I was wondering what happened to you! A week-long migraine?? :headache: Could it have had anything to do with your guests? :rolleyes1 I used to get those all the time (migraines not guests), years and years of it. Luckily they have decreased, but when they hit, they HIT. So glad to see you're feeling better. Hope you have fun at your brunch! :snooty: :snooty:

That's funny that Emma's cake says Emily... that was what I really wanted to name her but her lovely father wouldn't have it. We settled on Emma because it was close enough for me so I liked it, and he liked it because it was Rachel's baby on Friends. My mom still calls her Emma Lee -- which Emma of course hates.

Michele: What an odd tradition to "decorate" freshmen's houses. I'm sure the parents luuuuv that. :sad2: At least you got lucky with Zach and it was someone who wouldn't trash the place. Cedar Point, how fun! I would love to make it there, for just a few dollars more I can upgrade my Worlds of Fun season pass to include all the Cedar Fair parks. Last year it was included, but we never made it to anyplace else so I didn't buy the add-on this year, and NOW Lyzzie decided she's a coaster girl. I know what you mean about the dancing. Have you seen the thread around here about 3rd graders with acrylic nails? It's just disgusting. I used to hate school dances because all I knew how to do was the stand-in-a-(verysmall)circle-with-the-other-nerds-and-shuffle-your-feet dance. :3dglasses It was not very attractive. I felt so left out because I didn't know the "cool" dances, but on the other hand they looked so trashy I didn't WANT to know them.

Donna: That Tigger waffle really hit the spot! Y'know, with all the times we've been to CP I don't think we've had breakfast there. We are not big breakfast eaters, so it just seems like a waste of money or DDP credits to do too many breakfasts, and we're already doing Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast/brunch on our last day next time, because I just LOVE that place! I think it'll be a nice way to end the trip.

I thought I was done with making changes, but I remembered one more thing... we get those vouchers for Planet Hollywood with our packages and wanted to go there and I forgot to book it! We do have one day where the original plan was AK in the morning, then an afternoon break and dinner at ASMu (before the upgrade) and then Lyzzie and I would change and get ready for the P&PP. New plan, if it works out: AK then off to DTD for late lunch at PH, then back to SSR for resting/changing for P&PP. That should actually work out better, since the CS at SSR doesn't serve dinner, we wanted to use the PH vouchers anyway, and DTD is right there by SSR, you can walk or take a boat depending on where your room is. My parents think I'm nuts with all the planning, but you guys know how that goes! They will be thanking me later!!

We were going to go back to the farm today but it's raining. We had big loud storms early this morning, around 5am, but it cleared up and now is raining again, complete with flash flood warnings. So much for Plan A. Plan B is to finish up my coupon shopping at the grocery store, getting the stuff that Target didn't carry. (At the risk of sounding like a Geico ad, I saved over $15.00 with coupons yesterday!) And Lyzzie needs a haircut, I woke up this morning to the sound of her sobbing. Ran into her room all bleary-eyed and 1/2 clothed, only to discover that she was frustrated over trying to brush her hair. SO, it's time for a cute little summer bob. Luckily for her, her hair grows very fast and will be long again before school starts.

Geez, why can't I just post a nice little update without it turning into a novella?

:wave2:

I really should have journaled this week. It was busy and hot. I'm exhausted - we got to bed around 10:30 last night, but I didn't sleep hardly at all, then up at 4:00. When my head is clear I'll fill ya'll in on the trip - one thing - we were the Grand Marshalls for the Dreams parade at the MK on Saturday June 2nd. Will try and post a couple pics later.

Welcome back DznyFan! Sounds like you had a great time. I can't wait to hear all about the Grand Marshall experience... how did that happen, what was it like? How incredibly cool -- I want to feel like I was there! Now go get some rest so you can fill us in.

I can't believe who just showed up at my door.
 is right! I sure hope they fix it right this time!!

Linda:: All this talk of DVC sounds so very tempting. I really do think a trip to check the resorts out is in order for you, girl!!!
I've been talking about it to Mike a lot lately...imagine that...the girl w/the one track mind:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: and he said, not before the garden is done...which he says will be around Oct. HMMMM there sounds like there's hope:cool1: :woohoo:

Emma kept talking about how "we are going to get ice cream without our clothes on!"
:rotfl: how cute!!!

Late Night Snack!

Well, they are open 24x7, and super hero's are free.
Have a great Saturday!!!!
Thank you UnderDog!

Good morning everyone.

DW got home last night!!
glad she made it home safely....eventually :)

Hey, I took the boys to see At World's End. My youngest turned a little green when the dude boke off his forzen toe. I must say that I enjoyed it so much more the second time. I think I had come to terms with the way the movie went and was able to enjoy the details and humor a little more. Overall...it's just a little sad compared to the first two pirate movies (just one girls opinion).
I can't wait to see it! we've just been so busy, we haven't caught it yet either. I know Kenny will love it though. He doesn't get scared, thankfully ;) or, he won't admit it anyway:rotfl:

My fingers stayed numb for most of the day
that does sound like a nerve problem, doesn't it.... hope it quits soon. Mike has that too and it drives him crazy.
Doritos that taste like a Whopper... ewww, I'll pass too! I would be ok if I never ate at BK ever again ;) now if they'd just make a fruit that taste like chocolate or something...THEN I'd be in line to try it:lmao:

She was trying to tell me that from Christmas to New Years is one of the least crowded weeks to go because everyone else is seeing their families during the holidays.!!
:lmao: that IS funny!!!

Hi guys!

Steven is out with his firends and I didn't feel like going so I'm here dising!

Knocked Up was pretty good! There was a graphic birth scene:eek:, but other then that it was really funny.
thanks for the warning about the birth scene!

HI!!!

I must run now----I am going to brunch at the Art Museum.
Hey there pin-cess!!!!princess: Oh...I hate migraines!!!:grouphug: Hope you enjoyed the brunch and movies:cool1:

Michele:: The same thing happens to me; I come home from work and read the days' posts, but I just can't seem to find the right time to post!! (And I only have ONE kid!!:rotfl2:
I know it...me too! esp. when I want to post pictures:eek: oh man..that can take forever. I think I need to go get the high speed card reader! It took forever to upload the 300+ pix I took yesterday at the Zoo and Museum! Geesh! Hope you're enjoying your company this weekend!

Cedar Point, how fun! I would love to make it there, for just a few dollars more I can upgrade my Worlds of Fun season pass to include all the Cedar Fair parks. There will be more - lots more as I go through them when I have some time.

Our first day out was uneventful - we went to DTD but wound up eating at Rainforest instead of a CS as it was raining! (but Florida needs it) We didn't stay long - the girls were wet and kind of cranky. All flights were good and on time, no luggage lost by airline or ME. I like uneventful travel! It is good to be back (not necessarily in OK - I miss my OKW) but nice to be back here. :goodvibes I will try to go back and catch up on ya'll's week. Hope you guys at least had a nice uneventful week.

yesterday we made it up to the Cleveland Zoo and to the Museum of Natural History... both were b/c they had dino stuff Kenny really wanted to see...he was in heaven all day!

My Sunday dinner was a success. I just made down-home food; beef roast and carrots, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and green bean casserole. For dessert I made a chocolate cake. I think I'm about ready for some more chocolate cake myself.:rolleyes1

Sounds like you are all having a terrific Sunday. :grouphug:
