so it's a few years away...
just a few:laughing: unfortunately, it'll be here before we know it:guilty: Kenny reminds me all the time that pretty soon he's going to be driving a car and going to college:rotfl2: but it's so true. It seems like he went from 3 to 6 in a few weeks not years!

Yes, those pix are just incredible! I can't wait to see more. I was excited to see the pix I took... still learning and playing around w/it:rolleyes1

Great pictures DznyFan and Linda!

We took Lyzzie for a haircut today and the kids' place we sometimes go to was all booked up, and the girl gave me attitude so we just went to Great Clips. The stylist was fresh out of beauty school and just didn't really understand what I was trying to tell her. Lyzzie wanted to try having bangs, and she just angled her hair in the front a little bit. I made her redo it twice and finally said it's fine, then came home and fixed it. She did the rest ok though, still not really what I had in mind but it looks really cute. The woman couldn't make a straight part if her life depended on it, it was really quite scary! She parted Lyzzie's hair and asked if it was ok, I said no it's crooked, we like it straighter. She didn't understand. I mean, it was shaped like the letter J! I felt like a total helicopter parent and at one point almost grabbed the comb out of her hand and did it myself. Sorry, but if I'm going to pay almost $20 for something, I expect it to be better than what I could do myself.... that's my Vent of the Day.

I didn't take any pictures yet of the new haircut but I will soon.

Welcome back, DznyFan!!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip!!!
The pics of Erin are fantastic!!!

Linda:: I love your zoo and museum pics!! Your new camera takes amazing pictures!!:woohoo: Yes, I think Master Kenny was in heaven!!!:cloud9:

My Sunday dinner was a success. I just made down-home food; beef roast and carrots, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and green bean casserole. For dessert I made a chocolate cake. I think I'm about ready for some more chocolate cake myself.:rolleyes1

Sounds like you are all having a terrific Sunday. :grouphug:
Thank you. I've been like a kid w/a new toy. I can only imagine all the pix I'll be taking. I've always loved taking pix!! I took over 300 yesterday, so I can just imagine how bad it'll be on the cruise or at wdw:rotfl: last time I took over 600...I'm sure this time it will be more than double that:rolleyes1 good thing I got a few 8GB cards:lmao:

wow, your dinner sounds terrific! we'll be right over! we had steaks on the grill, mac n cheese, corn and I made an apple cake. Kenny was harassing me b/c I don't cook much now that Mike does all the cooking. so he helped me bake the cake. he's so rotten! Does Nathan help you? Or want to help ;) Kenny loves to help! He makes such a mess though...but, as you know I always say... you'll have that:rotfl:

 wow!!! That is too bad:sad2: I hope Lyzzie is happy w/how it is now. That is one thing I'm always scared about too...once it's gone, it's gone. It takes awhile to grow back if you don't like it. I hope you managed to fix her botch job good enough. Sounds like you did, but you're right...for that amount of $, it should be right. Maybe say something to the Mgr.
but be careful...I got my hair done at Pennys one time. I paid almost $100 for a cut and highlights:mad: and it wasn't so good either...I was so mad...and I got a ticket on my way home:rolleyes1 he pulled me over for speeding, but was nice and gave me a seatbelt ticket instead. Shew...and normally I wear my seatbelt. I was just mad and wanted to get back home. She didn't even blow it dry or anything b/c she was running behind and still charged me for it. I should have spoke up too...but I just wanted to get out of there.

Dznyfan- You were the Grand Marshalls! Cool! Great pics! I can't wait to see more pics and hear all about what happened on your trip!

Linda- Cute pics! The pics of the butterflies are so pretty!

Great pictures Linda and Dznyfan.

Lyzziesmom, I hate going to the hairdressers to get my hair cut. Half the time hey have no idea what they are doing or they do something I don't want and I end up looking stupid. I have made Mike trim my hair a couple times just so I don't have to go get it done. I'm sure she looks adorable though.

We just got back from Dairy Queen. We are suppose to be cutting out sweets, but yesterday and today DQ was calling us.

The finale of Sopranos is on tonight. I hope it ends well; I hate when they ruin a show by having a stupid ending.

yeah, the bad thing is now Kenny wants to print them all:eek: we had so much fun. I use to take him to the Columbus zoo literally once a week! we've been there so many times it isn't funny...and had never gone to the Clev. zoo... we went and loved it so much better than Columbus. The animals were much closer and you really got to see much more. I was very impressed. Plus it was great for getting pix. Now I want to go to some of the other zoos!!

yes Dznyfan...we can't wait to hear more!!!

yesterday and today DQ was calling us.
:rotfl: I know exactly what you mean;)

oh wait..that's my husband:lmao: I better go spend some time w/him. He's commenting on how much I'm typing and wants some attention:rotfl2:

take care and have a great evening. Hope the finale is good Amber!

Here's a picture I just took of Lyzzie with her new short 'do and bangs. We think it's really cute! And hopefully it'll put an end to all the tears when it's brushing time. Please excuse the messiness in the picture - she had just come in from playing outside and was a little bit sweaty.

Also I found a cute picture I took the other day of Emma playing with Oreo.

Just don't come to the Kansas City zoo... it's awful. I can't even think of what they could do to improve it, it's that bad. Ugh.

Linda - Fantastic pictures!!

Love the butterfly pictures.

I took a few pictures today. We were out mowing and I noticed that we have some cactus plants growing in the far back area of the yard. This area is an area we have fenced off to put the dog in if we needed to. Well, it was built when we still had 3 dogs. Anyway, it is an area we just let grow natively for the most part.

Well, we noticed that the cactus plants were flowering. I didn't know that cactus plants flowered.

Here are a few pics of the cactus...

Lyzzie's hair is adorable! That's pretty much what mine looks like. :)

Underdog, if you liked the S2 IS I would look at getting a S3 IS. I hear nothing but good things about that camera and I thin k you can get it for around $300.

I have a Pextax k100d and love it. It's a dslr and requires getting other lenses. The camera itself was abour $500, but the lenses can be much more.

Great photos from lyzziesmom too!!

Those eyes on Lyzzie.....just incredible. And I like her haircut.

And that is a cute pic of Emma with Oreo. :thumbsup2 (thumb)

Lyzziesmom- Lyzzie looks so cute with her new hairdo! It looks as though she really likes it! Love the pic of Emma too! I forgot to mention this earlier, whenever me and Steven have our first girl, I want to name her Emily, but Steven wants to name her Emma Leigh! I hope he's joking!:rotfl:

Linda- The San Antonio zoo is really fun even though I haven't been there in ages. It might be kinda far for you to drive to though!;)

thank you...and like anything, it depends how much you wanna spend:rotfl: I have a Canon powershot too...but just bought my dslr and LOVE it!!! It is a Canon 30d. it is great for sports b/c it can take up to 5 fps... I had been watching several kits on ebay and you can get a good kit w/the camera and a good lens or two for 1k-$1400... but now I see incredible lenses I want that are 2k:eek: that is a Disney cruise!!! so...it depends how extreme you wanna go ;) My sister has a dslr too but it's a Nikon D50 I believe...the body was a little less but she bought the more expensive lenses too... non dslr...I have no clue b/c I've been drooling and wanting one of these and researching them for the last year or so:rotfl: I know...it's sad!!!!

lyzziesmom...adorable pix

thank you. They have a whole butterfly room. it's hard to catch them while they're not flying around though!!! wow...I didn't know that cactus plants flowered either! cool pix!

long drive...for sure. I've heard San Diego zoo is awesome too...but at least Skybus can get us pretty close to there:woohoo: Kenny is an animal fanatic...he'd love to go to every zoo there is!

Ok...I gotta run. You all have a great evening!

Linda: I love zoos too. I'm so silly, I even don't mind the smell of a zoo, because it carries all those good zoo memories. I'm still wanting to take the girls to the Omaha zoo, but I've been overspending a little bit lately and with the WDW trip coming up in a few months, I decided to get my credit cards paid off before we go anywhere. Darn responsibility!!
