When I read the letter I started sobbing and inhaled part of my salad I was eating, now I have lettuce stuck in the back of my throat. I wonder if I can sue him?!?!

Lesa, that is just nuts. I don;t know what I would do. On one hand, if you turn it into your insurance, your rates could increase. If you don't, then you may have to pay him even more. I don;t see how a judge would rule in his favor though. Yes, you did hit him, but you paid and he didn't seek medical treatment right away. How does anyone know that he injured himself during that accident and not something else (I know there are times that injuries can appear later, but that's why you seek treatment at the time of the accident).

Not kidding! This is the old man I had to keep ushering back to his car because he kept stepping out in traffic and the same old man I had to beg the officer to stop traffic so he could get back on the road safely. The same old man that on the way home almost ran up a curb. Our cars barely connected, his had a slight dent if any mine nothing, the only reason I stopped was I saw he was a little old man and was just continuing stay stopped in the middle of the road. I wonder if I turn it into my insurance now, if they will pay me back for what I paid to have his bumper fixed. What bothers me most is this will now go on my record, and besides that it irks me that he should not have his licence to begin with.

The kids father was a chiropractor and the kid was suing for office visits.

I remember... even the cop made a comment about him!! no, he shouldn't have a license to begin with!!! GOOD LUCK!!! people are way too sue happy. Mikes ex girlfriend wrecked his brand new atv and sued him!!! They were dating at the time. They broke up almost a year after that and she turned around and sued him a few days before the statue of limitations was up she won over 40k its ridiculous!!!

yes, I think he saw a different chiropractor though it wasn't at his dads practice. that would be way too obvious he didn't get much though and he got stuck w/tons of bills that's what he deserved too!

I have a feeling either family is pushing him to sue or a the lawyer got wind of an old person being rearended and saw $. The letter says the lawyer gets 40% of whatever he recovers if he recovers anything.

Lesa, oh my gosh I am so sorry!!! I can't believe that guy is suing you. Why would he if he already got his car fixed??? Do you have the police report or anything? I totally agree with you about him not even supposed to be driving It will work out for the best.

Last night Jeremiah & I went to a late showing of Spiderman 3. I'm so glad we went during the week and late at night because there were only a handful of people there. I HATE going to the movies and having it be jam packed. I thought the movie was OK,.....I thought the first two were much better though. I wonder if they are making any more?

Today Jeremiah emailed me and told me his boss took him and his coworker aside and apologized to them. He said he has been very unprofessional but since he was screwed over by the last owner of the company he was in the 'sneaky mind frame' and even said he was going to give them a check from him personally. I don't know if I believe that, but it was nice regardless for him to apologize. Then the auditor (who's supposed to be coming once a month now!!) told his boss that he needs to keep Jeremiah around, especially since he is under 30 and so sharp & smart already!!! I don't really want him to keep that job though but he likes to hear that type of stuff about himself ofcourse

Lesa, that's crazy! Oh, that just makes me so mad when people take advantage of situations like that! good luck, I don't have any advice to offer, just prayers and hugs - hopefully it will all work out for you. Sounds like his family went out and found him a shark.

That is exciting. I love Yao even though I'm very disappointed in his playing this season I've heard he has a Chinese girlfriend but he never talks about her!!!! That is so cute. Actually I was watching an interview with T-mac and Yao and the interviewer (I think it was Jimmy Kimmel) asked if Yao was in a relationship with anybody. Yao wouldn't answer but Tracy did for him and Yao was like "Can't you keep anything a secret!!"

Who is Yao Ming? I'm so out of the loop! I mentioned to Lyzzie's dad the timing issue and he's really confused now. I was thinking of that too, before you guys mentioned it. However I did get preg. on the 1st time w/him, so it's possible. BUT he's going to accompany her to the dr. and ask the dr. how far along she is.

Lesa: that's CRAZY about the old man!! I swear everyone is sue-happy these days. I suppose he'd have been happier if you'd have let him wander out into traffic? No advice, just my sympathy. I can't believe the attorney actually put right in the letter that his cut would be 40% - how tacky!!
