Friday morning! We have a long layover in Kansas City ( :wave2: Lyzziesmom!) and then into Orlando. It's not the flight we would have normally chosen, but we were having to use Rapid Rewards tickets, so it's what we got.

You know, I've never seen the Grand Canyon before (except from in a plane), I look forward to seeing pictures! How long are you guys staying?

We leave early Saturday morning, June 16th. We will return Sunday, June 24th.

We do have some cool things lined up. We are going to take a helicopter tour, a sunset Jeep tour, and a Train tour. Plus 2 nights we are stying in a cabin inside the Canyon.

Hi everyone!!!

I've been busy the last couple days. We got some paint for the bathroom and its taking forever for me to do it. It was this ugly off white/cream color that I just couldn't stand, so I've been painting it BRIGHT white. I wanted to paint it a pretty color, but we would've had to paint it back to white when we moved out and that seems like such a pain.

We actually went and saw Pirates 3 again!! I can't believe how much Jeremiah liked it...He said he wanted to see it again. Well I don't mind because I love watching Will :rolleyes1 I know you guys like Jack pirate: and I do too but for some reason after this last movie I have a little crush on him :rolleyes1 I didn't even like him much before :confused3 Go figure

I have my root canal retreatment scheduled tomorrow :scared: I am really nervous because I can NEVER get numb on my bottom row of teeth. I am getting the nitrous though which helped the last time so I hope it isn't going to be too bad :upsidedow I think its worth it, even though its an extra $200 :headache:

Darn it... my mom just called to report that Emma has four small cavities. She will have to go back next week to get them filled. I'm glad they were able to get her back in so quickly - when Lyzzie was little she had a small cavity, and it took them 5 weeks to get her back in to get it filled. By that time the cavity had taken over the tooth and without telling me what was going on, they slapped a silver cap over the whole tooth. In Emma's case they said she sat very still so they expect to be able to use the white fillings. I guess the girls have inherited my thin enamel - Emma LOVES to brush her teeth and does so at least 3x a day so I don't think it's a hygiene issue. Poor kid.

TMI! Bragger alert!;)

My twins are turning 21 on June 4th. Well I've made plans to take them out for their first legal Pint. I all ready have Kyle’s gift, but just thought about what to get Colleen. I'm so excited! Going to the Mall right now to get it. Then to my sister Katie’s to have a wrapping party! And maybe sum RUM.

Pozey - Was that my jug of rum on your table?:thumbsup2

Anyway I hope to have a pic or two (if sweetpolly leaves me with a camera)

UnderDog: My little one is turning 3 on June 2nd. It looks like our plans are going to get rained out though -- although being Kansas, the forecast is likely to change 12 times before Saturday -- so we may end up spending the day at Chuck E. Cheese's. The wrapping/rum party sounds much better to me!

Sorry to hear about Emma's cavities. Hopefully, she won't mind getting fillings.

I've been pretty lucky with Colton and Chase. I think Colton has has 1 or 2 cavities, and Chase none.

Which brings me to another dentist question.........

We love our dentist. He's GREAT. When Colton started getting in his permanent molars, he suggested we have them apply a "sealant" on his teeth. This is supposed to help prevent cavities. So, we went ahead and had the sealant applied to both Colton and Chase's teeth.

I had never heard of it, but then, I used to avoid the dentist like the plague.

Anyone else's dentist apply a sealant?

Pozey- I had sealant applied to my teeth as a child and have never had a cavity (knock on wood) I actually need to make an appointment to get them resealed.

Lyzziesmom- Poor Emma! :grouphug: But that's great she has such good brushing habits so young!

Ashley- Good luck with your tooth retreatment tomorrow!

Underdog- Happy early birthday to the twins!

I've had sealants a ton of times. My understanding is that it's sort of coating that they paint on the molars to help protect thin enamel (in my case) and it can also sort of fill in deep indents in the molars. They've been around forever - I don't know if they actually help or not but they certainly don't hurt. It is just painted on and then a blue light is applied for about 30 seconds to set it, and you're good to go. Quick and painless.

Yep, that's exactly the process.

I guess I was too old and too far gone for them to even ask me if I wanted sealants......:confused3 :rolleyes1 :sad1:

Underdog - a little early, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your twins! A little something for them:

lThere were three Stitch movies. Lilo and Stitch, Stitch the Movie, and Leroy and Stitch.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Amber!:thumbsup2
Good luck with your travel agency interview!! Sounds exciting!!

pozey:: Yeah!!! for all of Coltons Certificates/awards!!!:woohoo: You have every right to be proud of him.
Your Grand Canyon vacation sounds like fun. I would like to be able to take a couple of weeks and drive out West. We made quite a few trips to California when I was a young girl.....oh, the memories.:goodvibes

DznyFan:: Sorry about your hair woes...and this close to your trip, too. Maybe tomorrow morning you'll be able to make it work for you.
I'm not a hat gal, either. So many other women I know look great in them; I'm not one of them!!!

Lesa:: I can't believe that old man is suing you for bodily damage!!! Good luck with your garage sale!!!

Oh, the memories of the old Playhouse Disney. Nathan used to watch Bear in The Big Blue House, PB&J Otter, and Out of the Box. I used to enjoy Story Time With Belle.(or something like that)

Thanks fore the cereal...I actually had rice chex...but great idea. Good luck with Nathan at the Ortho. I'm sure he's not thrilled...seems like they get started young. I need to take DS to the dentist. His top teeth are very crowded. He's so late with loosing teeth...I'm not sure he has enough out for braces yet?
That is my concern with Nathan....I'm not totally confident that perhaps he shouldn't wait a while for the braces. I will be asking the orthodontist more questions on Tuesday, now that I know what Nathan's problem really is.

Ashley:: sounds like you've been a busy girl!!! All that painting and Pirate watching!!!:cheer2: pirate:
Good luck with your root canal tomorrow. I'm sure everything will be just fine. Try not to worry too much.

Underdog:: How cool that your twin are going to be 21!! Are they the oldest of your kids?? Didn't you mention that you had 3 children? Maybe you should hide the camera from SweetPolly before she can take it??:rolleyes1 ;)

Yolanda::Isn't time you were back on line, girl??

Linda:: How was your weekend?? Did you have to go back to Cleveland? Hope everything's OK.:goodvibes

Well, I'm off to fold some laundry.:laundy: Catch you all later!!

Amen! I'd love to be one of those cute girls who can wear a baseball cap in place of a bad hair day - but NOPE not me! I went and got another couple inches cut off of it today, in an effort to make this funky chunk in the front blend and look less wierd. It helped, somewhat. I think a headband is in order for the next month or two. At least she didn't charge me when I went back in!

I have a couple of headbands but they don't do a whole lot for hiding the frizz. Oh...for you non-hat ladies...you don't have to look cute in the hat...just get a cute hat.;) :rotfl:

Good morning, everyone!!! My goodness, that was a short night. It seemed like I just layed my head on the pillow and it was time to get up again!!
How about a waffle a la Disneyland Paris??

I will have to remember...it's no the woman, but the hat that counts!!!:rotfl2: Try using Sunsilk DeFrizz. DznyFan suggested it and it really does work. You don't have to use very much at all.

DznyFan::: Yippee!!! Tomorrow is the day...you'll be on your way!!:woohoo: Ride the Monorail a few times for me and have a blast in our Happy Place!!

Just in case you forget where that Happy Place is located, Uncle Walt will guide you.:goodvibes

Oh, Pozey! DH and I went to Napoli's tonight for dinner.... it was SO GOOD! We both absolutely loved it! I wanted to keep eating, but I was already stuffed - it was hard to stop. We even had dessert, and we never eat desserts....
I LOVE Napoli's!! What did you order? I will usually switch between the Napoli's Special and The Works Spaghetti. I love the sausage.

We've had dessert there once. I can't remember if it was a chocolate cake or a cheesecake, but it was GREAT!!
