Good Morning!

Thanks for the cereal Donna!

Thanks for the snacks Underdog!

Pozey- Your burgers sound great! Congrats to Colton!

Amber- Good luck on the interview!:wizard:

Lyzziesmom- Emma looks so cute with her new hair do!

Lesa, good luck with the garage sale.
There were three Stitch movies. Lilo and Stitch, Stitch the Movie, and Leroy and Stitch.

I have an interview later this week with a travel agency. Wish me luck! I will be doing it part time (from home).

Have a great day!!
I never heard of the 3rd one. From the sounds of it I didn't miss anything. Good luck with your interview.:wizard:

I used several things. First, I used a little bit of a dry rub that I use when I smoke ribs. I also added some Oklahoma Joe’s Grill & Seasoning Mix. I added a little bit of A-1 Steak Sauce and a little bit of Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce. I mixed all that in with the meat and put it in a container and left in the fridge overnight.

Sounds good! Congrats to Colton!

I just got news from my Lawyer. The old fart is suing for bodily damage. Tell me how a nick on a car causes bodily damage. Now I have to turn it in to the insurance co.

Donna: Good luck at the orthodontist. Ahhh braces, I remember those days. They were not really fun, but my teeth are so nice & straight now so I guess it was worth it. Maybe you'll get lucky and his teeth will move easily like mine did. I was expected to be in braces for 3 years, got out of them after 1.
I've been getting great Dings out of KC too, just not to anywhere I wish to go. There was a great rate to MCO yesterday, but it was only for the month of July and even if I could get the time off work, I would not want to go to WDW in July. The heat would kill me! And the crowds... fuhgettaboutit.

I wasn't real hungry........but I did have a wee bit of the rum.......:rolleyes1 :cool2:

So that's where it all went! ;)

Lesa: Best of luck with the garage sale. That really is last minute - only 2 days away! The hardest part is deciding what to sell. Besides that and getting the signs out, I usually save the rest for the morning of the sale. I just get going about an hour or two early, and as I'm setting up I'll slap pricing stickers on everything, or put out boxes priced "$1.00 each" or "$8.00 whole box," that kind of thing. Makes it easier on me, and really... isn't that what's important?

Emma has learned a lot of Spanish from Dora as well. She will surprise me with it sometimes and say things like, "Are we going to Abuela's house?" And then in a conspiratorial whisper she will inform me, "That is Spanish, it means Grandma." :rotfl: What a little know-it-all! :teacher: My mom has a bit of a mean streak, and she says it's not from watching Dora but it's "Emma's Mexican heritage showing" (her "dad" was/is Mexican) and that I "have to wipe that out of her." She just can't for a second let me forget what a bad choice I made almost 4 years ago. Moms. :headache:

Amber: Good luck on the interview, I'm sure you'll knock 'em dead!

pozey (again): You must be so proud! Lyzzie brought home several awards yesterday too but she didn't even tell me about them until bedtime so I didn't get to see them. I was going to look at them this morning but she forgot to mention that she left them in the car, so we will have to save that for later. She said the only award she missed out on was Perfect Attendance - darn those WDW trips!

I'm not really a hamburger girl but I must say yours do sound pretty tasty! I don't like meat & bread together, so on the rare occasion that I do eat a burger I pretend I'm on the Atkins diet and forgo the bun -- which works great until someone sees me getting into the potato chips! :rolleyes1

Emma has her first dentist appointment today, I wish I could be there with her but my mom is taking her. I hope it goes well. She's got the best time slot: two thirty. Get it? Tooth-hurty?? *insert groan here*
Sorry, old bad joke but again, this is what happens when most of my conversation involves people under 4 feet tall.

Playhouse Disney...probably when Lyzzie was little...I remember it from watching it with oldest DS. He loved Out of the Box and PB&J Otter. We rarely ever have it on the Disney channel anymore...it's all SpongeBob..etc....:sad2:

So I went and got my hair layered last night, my usual hair person recommended someone else because she didn't have any time to fit me in her schedule - so I went to the other person - I told her what I wanted (just a few light layers cut into it) and as of this morning's bathroom time I am NOT HAPPY. I can't explain what she did with the sides (cut too much off the sides around my face), but I am SO frustrated. I wound up blowing it out straight (after I used curl shampoo/conditioner/mousse) and of course NOW it just looks like a big fuzzball. I don't DARE get any more cut off, I guess I'm just going to have to live with this until it grows out. Shoulda left it alone. Oh, I'm SO MAD.

Have a great day, everybody!

DznyFan...I hope you have some luck with your hair. I can't tell you how many times I've been in dispair over the exact cut you described. I have slightly curly and frizzy hair. If you layer it around my face it just frizzes and shrinks up all around my face. If you don't mind hats take plently with you to Florida. This may be a girl moment but:hug: :flower3: I understand your problem.:headache:

Well, yesterday was Nathan's first appt. with the orthodondist. Gary worked from home yesterday, and when I went into Nathan's room to tell him goodbye
as I was leaving for work, he reminded me that I would see him at 4 o'clock. (That's when the appt. was scheduled.) According to the Dr., his problem is not so much of an underbite as his top teeth can't find a proper place to fit together with his bottom teeth. He is going to straighten the top teeth first.
Nathan has an appt. on Tues. for what they call the Records Appt.

Have a great day everyone!!:sunny:

Thanks fore the cereal...I actually had rice chex...but great idea. Good luck with Nathan at the Ortho. I'm sure he's not thrilled...seems like they get started young. I need to take DS to the dentist. His top teeth are very crowded. He's so late with loosing teeth...I'm not sure he has enough out for braces yet?

Good morning!

Today David has off. We are going to work on getting stuff ready for a garage sale on Friday.:headache: It's sort of a last minute thing as a realtor that sets up all the sub sales around here decided to set it up last week. I hope to get rid of some junk and make a bit of money for our trip. I just hate the prep work.:headache:

Hey Lesa...I know what you mean. I never seem to make very much money when I do a garage sale. One year when I sold my baby stuff I think I made around $400. Good luck, hope you make lots of $$$ for Disney.:dance3:

I have an interview later this week with a travel agency. Wish me luck! I will be doing it part time (from home).

Have a great day!!

Hey Amber! Lots of luck with your interview. I would love to work from home.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Colton had an outstanding day yesterday.

Caution!! Caution!! Proud Parent Alert!!

Besides going to Celebration Station for 5th Grade day yesterday - in which all he could talk about was how he hung out with Brianna most of the time - they had their awards assembly.

Colton received a certificate for reading, plus another certificate for Choir. He also was give a "Character Kid" certificate.

Also, the Art teacher gives out a certificate to the one person he thinks is the most outstanding Art student. And Colton received that certificate - for the 3rd year in a row. And he received a certificate and a pin for the Presidential Award of Excellence (or something similar). I think this is given to students who received all A's throughout the school year.

All in all, he received 8 certificates and/or pins.

I am definitely proud of him. He works very hard in school. I just hope and pray that it continues throughout the rest of his schooling.

:cheer2: Great job Colton! His art is fantastic and I hope he continues throughout his school years with the same effort!:cheer2:

DznyFan: Sorry you're not happy with your haircut. Sometimes when I get new layers done, it takes a week or two of growing out before it looks "right." One thing I've learned NOT to do is try to fix it myself once I get home. I didn't learn that with the kids though... I had to do a little fixing on Emma's last night and now it's laying much better at the top. She left the top layer just a tad too long, so it was still covering up the underneath curls. Emma told me this morning that she doesn't like her new 'do - "I look like an old lady." :lmao: I think she was just crabby.

Lesa: WTH? I guess he thinks he would have had less bodily damage if you had let him wander out into traffic?? If this continues to escalate, maybe you should contact the local news, they could do one of those "ridiculous lawsuit" stories you see once in a while. The nerve of some people!!

YM: I really miss the old Playhouse Disney lineup. It was much less annoying and lots more variety of cute, educational things than the crud they show now. I LOVED Bear in the Big Blue House (I must confess, I started watching Bear when I was pregnant with Lyzzie so I'd know what kind of kids' shows were around) and Out of the Box was really cute. Lyzzie always did the noodle dance from PB&J -- sadly, now she doesn't even remember it. I liked that stuff a lot better than the Little Einsteins and whatever else is on now.

I just remembered: it's PAYDAY!! I'd better go check my account.

Lesa...geez you can't catch a break. What does your lawyer think?

Nicole...you are getting a new computer? What are you getting...I think I missed that post.

lyzziesmom...Emma's haircut is cute. It looks great for summer!

Man...I need to head to the Y but my muscles are so sore from running/walking Monday night. I guess a pulled a muscle in my thigh. I should tough it out but I'm running low on tough. My theory as I near 40 is that all my tough is gone.:rolleyes1

Your two year old said she looks like an old lady:lmao: ...I am cracking up over that one.:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Thank You. Now, I'm contemplating getting it ALL cut off. Hats? No. Don't do hats - not that I don't want to - they just don't look right.

I promise I won't try to fix it myself.
I miss those shows too - we never watch them at home, obviously, but I miss them being on in the mornings at WDW getting ready - PB&J, Bear, and Rollie Pollie Ollie were on.

Amber - good luck at your interview!

Pozey - why'd you drink all the rum? I needed some rum this morning!

My lawyer said to turn it into the insurance, which after talking to my insurance co. I found out the jerks lawyer already turned it in. I did ask the insurance to refund me what I paid for the ding in his car. We'll see if I get that back. If the idiot was hurt, we were in the hospital parking lot.

I hope your muscles are feeling better soon! Yet another reason I avoid working out.:rolleyes1

Lizziesmom....You crack me up. Tooth-hurty:laughing: . That reminds me, Maddie woke me up this morning at the crack of dawn (dad was off, did she wake him up......NOOOOOOO!) telling me jokes. She was very upset when I was not laughing.

Well gotta run, the junk is calling me.:headache:

Have a great day everyone!

So, DznyFan.......when do you fly out? Got the suitcases out and ready to be packed?

We leave for vacation in 17 days. Unfortunately.......we are going in the opposite direction of Disney World. While we are all excited about going to the Grand Canyon, it is nothing like the excitement that builds in anticipation of a Disney trip.

Friday morning! We have a long layover in Kansas City ( :wave2: Lyzziesmom!) and then into Orlando. It's not the flight we would have normally chosen, but we were having to use Rapid Rewards tickets, so it's what we got.

You know, I've never seen the Grand Canyon before (except from in a plane), I look forward to seeing pictures! How long are you guys staying?
