Ashley: I took my driving test in FL and I'm so glad I didn't have to parallel park! I had a driving instructor for like 4 classes, she taught me specifically how to pass the test and we practiced only what would be on the test, in similar situations. It was great, but I never did learn to parallel park and here in KC there is a lot of street parking downtown - I always just pay the extra to park in a garage if there's one nearby. I think on my test I did about a 5-point turn, but that is no big deal. Maybe on the weekends Jeremiah can take you out to practice driving so you feel more comfortable? I know when Emma was little and her dad was still around, we shared one car and it was very hard for me on the days when I didn't have it. Of course it was hard on the days when I had it too, because Emma was only under 2 months old and she didn't always nap/eat/poop on HIS work schedule!

yep! He said he wanted to and I only would to be w/him....I'm the wimp in the cold but we always at least have a path shoveled on the deck so we don't have to actually touch any snow...and last night there was no path so he said forget it. Thank goodness!! When we met, I had a hot tub too..and it had always been indoors! but his was on the deck...so I sold mine. I miss being able to stay inside!!

Lesa, thank you so much for that suggestion. That is a really good idea!!!! The last time I took the test was in November 2004 (actually the day I voted for the first time!) I haven't even driven since then. You guys are motivating me to get this done!!! I'm planning on going to Florida in August, maybe I can take it then since thats where my permit is. I know I'm making excuses but also the reason I failed I think is because of my Grandparents car. They have a PT Cruiser and I don't know if it was their particular car or what, but the turning radius is really bad!!!! In 2005 when we went down for Christmas they let us borrow it and Jeremiah drove it. He was like "I understand why you failed, I would fail in this car it turns horribly!!!" So that made me feel alittle better. I was thinking of maybe asking to borrow my Aunt's honda since its so little.

Linda, I agree about Jared aka Carlton Sanjaya and Haley or whatever her name is stinks, I'm glad Antonella went though. I even thought Sundance was better than Sanjaya. Survivor does look interesting, ofcourse they don't have it on next week when it looks interesting for once I actually didn't even see AI because I was recording Survivor and Mama's Family (I almost never see shows when they are actually on, I am so spoiled with my DVR I don't know how I could live without it )

Yes, Sundance was better than him too crazy! You would be so much happier if you got your license!!! NO doubt about it! Yes it looks interesting...and now March Madness basketball has to come interupt our schedule

Mike says he won't move any further south than TN...so I was checking out Chattanooga yesterday well...it looks beautiful, 3 hrs from the coast, 7 hrs from wdw.... less than an hr from Atlanta I've never been there...but that might be something to check out

The thing with the original number was, he said he was going to look at the budget and see what he could give, but he thought it would be "####" so I guess that is his reasoning why it isnt the same number. For months and months Jeremiah has told him he needed a raise, and he always told him "The company is doing very bad, we need to be a team here," and he even cut his employees to 32 hours a week, But didn't cut Jeremiah's because he knew he would leave but took away his bonus structure, so Jeremiah still took a paycut. He makes me so mad! He didn't take a paycut but everyone else did, must be nice to have your car, food, cell phone paid for buy the company, and still make $300,000 a year!! Ok, thats enough, I think my blood pressure is rising

Yes Ashley, find the smallest car you can, when I took my test I took my Geo Prism (may it rest in peace ) and since it is only the tiniest car ever, I passed with no problem!

I got scared for a minute! The nurse from the school called. She said Madison came down and she listened to her lungs. I thought she was going to tell me she was wheezing again, but nope she said she is clear!

Does anyone ever frequent the budget board on the freebie thread? I just finished looking at links that were added today. One is for Pinecone research. They pay you something like $5 a survey. Lesa, Great news about Maddie!!!! I do pinecone and its great!! I get a couple surveys a week, and they send those checks regularly. You can even get it deposited into paypal if you want to! I do read the budget boards, but reading that "How much do you spend on groceries?" thread embarasses me!! I can't believe how much Jeremiah & I spend on food!!!! And how little some people spend, some people say $100/month!!!
