Linda, thank you  HI MASTER KENNY!!! I just love that boy, he is so adorable!! I was just thinking of you last night, because you said you were going to use the hot tub! That sounds so good and relaxing!! We have a pool here that I use all the time but they drain it in the Winter. I wish they had a hot tub! What did you think of Survivor? Honestly it is annoying me alittle because of how unfair it is!!! That other team just NEVER wins!!! And those two girls on the team that has all that food and shelter etc who are mean to "Dreamz' and Cassandra really annoy me!!

Ashely, I am so sorry. Mike has been in a similar position. Today he gets paid and should see his first raise (he is suppose to get another raise next month when he finally takes over). I am so scared that he isn't going to get what was promised (even though he has it in writing...well, the first raise that is. He's still waiting on the paperwork for the second).

Did Jeremiah say anything to the boss about the difference in money? Even if it wasn't in writing, I would still say something. I know he's just happy to get a raise, but it doesn't seem right that the boss could just go back on his word (although, I've had bosses like that  ) Hopefully, Jeremiah can find something better.

Lesa-- I sure hope Maddie feels better soon! Hopefully it will help to have the city commissioner on your side! We're going out on the weekend of the 23rd to look for houses. It all still feels a little unreal.

It's been over a year and a half and it still feels unreal to me!;) My advice is when you do go house shopping is to take a camera. Looking at a house in only a weekend is really hard. You see so many that they all seem to be a blurr. Take a picture of the front of the house and anything that you really like or don't like about the house as well as the neighborhood.

I just never passed the test. I took it twice and failed so I guess I feel like I can't do it. I guess its just a mental thing. I've had my permit since November 2003. I was thinking of trying again when I visit home, because I want to keep my Florida license (and in Virginia as part of the test you have to parallel park! I definitely can't do that!!!!) I know its stupid, if I could pass the test and drive Jeremiah to work, or even get a cheap car it would be better and maybe I could get a part time job and meet new people.

The only reason I passed was we didn't have to parallel park. I still wouldn't pass that!:lmao: When we moved here they make you take a written test before they will give you a IL drivers license. I blanked out and almost didn't pass.:rolleyes1 I say, definitely try it again! I bet 3 times is a charm!;)

Amber, I'm not sure if Jeremiah is going to say anything. He told me that his boss told me that yesterday when he was leaving and he was in shock because the boss was acting like he should be happy and grateful. He said he didn't even know what to say, I was like whoa thats a first you were speechless for the first time in your life :rotfl:

I think he just wants to leave this job and not train anybody, not give any warning and then they would really be screwed ;) I know thats spiteful but I may come in with him that day and misplace some important files :rolleyes1 Perhaps I could "accidently" find some paperwork and "somehow" relay it to the IRS (since his boss is in tax trouble) :cutie:

I'M JUST KIDDING!!! (or am I????)

I hope Mike gets his much deserved raise! It is very smart to get some paperwork documenting that. I will call Jeremiah now and tell him to get it even though the boss said it should be effective next week.

yes Michele...if you do have just a few moments sometime:rolleyes1 we know Lilly needs to have a pix posted so we can adore her with you!

Can you say selfish?!?!:rolleyes1 I alway knew she didn't like to share!:rotfl2:

Mike has always said that if he leaves his company he isn't giving any notice. If I were Jeremiah I would be tempted to just quit (after he has another job of course). If they treat him this way, why should he treat them any better? (I know you aren't suppose to burn bridges, but something it's warranted).

If I were Jeremiah, I would still say something to the boss. Something along the lines of "Thanks for the raise, but I thought you had offered $x.xx Was I mistaken?" Then the boss knows that Jeremiah still remembers that number and maybe will adjust.

UPDATE,

I just talked to Jeremiah and his boss made a mistake, it's $5,000 not 4

Well I'll take what I can get ;) I also told him to tell his boss he wants it in writing so he can't "forget"

that would be awesome Ashley! You wouldn't feel so trapped and stranded. If I go one single day w/o a car I feel like I'm gonna go crazy:guilty: When you don't have a car is when I want to go somewhere the worst! I know you can pass the test. My instructor said its like breathing, after awhile, you just do it. It comes second nature...and it really does, for most people ;) I've seen some BAD drivers out there...I know you'll do fine! Even if you got a class to help you parallel park to pass the test. you'd be much happier w/a license and a car!!!For sure!

:rotfl: :lmao: that's funny! Nah...I think she's just REALLY busy right now. She is so lucky to have an incredible family!:cloud9:

around here we don't burn bridges, we blow them up:rotfl:

I agree, I'd say something if he gave him a figure!

Linda, what I couldn't do when I took the test in Florida is a 3-point turn. It is when you have to completely turn the car within a certain number of feet (I can't remember what) and you have to do it within 3 turns. Well both times I knocked over the cone and you automatically fail the test, even though I was doing good before that. Then the man said "You know you can do it in as many turns as you want, it doesnt have to be 3 as long as you don't knock over the cone, if you knock over the cone you automatically fail but if you do it in more than 3 turns you just get points taken off" I was like "Well then why is it called a 3 point turn!!!!!" Then I was just too embarassed to go back.

:cool1: That sounds a little bit better! :yay: Definitely tell him to have it put in writing. Whenever DH gets a raise they give him a letter with how much the raise is and his new salary.

Yeah! I know it's not what you were hoping for, but at least it better than $4000 (that extra $1000 is a trip to WDW ;) )

I know you can pass the driving test! I was able to parallel park for the test only; now I can't at all. I just drive and drive until I find a space to pull into (is it any wonder Mike does all the driving).I need that car that parks for you. Just practice a little and I'm sure you can do it. :wizard:

Buy some cheap cones, you can usually get them in the sports department. Set them up in a parking lot and practice until you feel comfortable. How long ago did you take your last test? You need to repeat to yourself "I can do it!"

well thank you :) I think he has me wrapped around his little finger just a little:rolleyes1 but I'm not admitting it! we were planning on going out to the hot tub but Mike changed his mind:sad2: he looked out and saw all that snow and just said "forget it":rotfl: Survivor was crazy. Those girls being so rude:rolleyes: I wanted to smack them! At least Dreams and Cassandra are smart enough to flip on them:woohoo: The pre views looked pretty interesting! it looks like some big changes are coming and they'll get a dose of reality soon! I was trying to flip back and forth between AI and Survivor:sad2: I need tivo or something!!!

I can't believe Sanjiah and Haley (sp) made it to the final 12:confused3 I thought Jared aka Carlton Banks was better than those two!!!:sad2:

A car that parks for you sounds great!

Ashley- practice and try again! You'll get it! I didn't have to do a 3 point turn here, I'm sure if I did I would have failed!:rotfl:

Ashley, Lesa is right. That is what my dad did. we went to a school parking lot...he put up cones and put rods down in them...like curtain rods "dowel rods" in them w/ a sock tied to them so I could see where they were ...and practiced. I didn't have any trouble at all b/c our instructor gave us exactly what to to. Like we'd have to pull one length ahead, turn the wheel 1/2 way to that direction, get to a certain spot and turn the other way 2 full turns...something like that...it was exact and worked perfectly...that made it extremely easy!! You'll get it!

You mean you were going outside to sit in the hot tub? Sorry, I'm with Mike on that one! It would be fine getting in, but the getting out part.....:scared1: :cold:
