Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 3

Ashley: I'm glad Ruby's eye is o.k. That is interesting that they used part of her blood for eye drops.

Between your stories of Ruby and her vet visits, and Grace and her tearing up the house.....I don't know what's worse, dogs or kids!:rotfl2:

And no, Colton did not ask Kayla today.

I think he wants to......but just can't conjure up the nerve.

I think it is sweet that he likes her that much. I told him it was okay if he did ask her, and it is okay if he doesn't.

Young love!
Madison just told me today about a boy she likes in her class. She said "I don't think he's, you know the word mom".
Me "cute?"
Her "yep, I just like him!"
:lmao:

I just got an email from Maddie's brownie leader about a family camping night....in a tent!!!:scared1: We would have to bring our own tent!:rotfl2: Do they sell a tent with a bed and a bathroom already attached?:confused3 :lmao:

Lesa...wow...sounds like we are in the same situation with our kids and their self-esteem. Let me just say it stinks! Makes me want to:sad1: :sad1: My DS in the third grade has been having a difficutly with good friend that is very controlling (nice looking, good student, good at sports...and now I'm finding out good at poking fun at DS). Yesterday his friend was allowed (as a reward for good behavior) to give two girls a make up spelling test in the hallway. Well, he proceeds to use my DS in his "give the word in a sentence"....ie DS is the slowest person on earth (the spelling word being slowest)....DS's teeth are not white (spelling word white). One of the girls told him his teeth were yellow when she came back into the classroom and that's the only thing I knew about at the party. I helped him brush it off but didn't realize until I got home that it was his "friend" stirring the pot. While I was gone on our trip his friend gave him a little shoulder jab and knocked DS into is locker telling him he was "in his way". These are small matters but DS is not sure how to handle himself. When he ignores him his friend he gets in his face and talk like a baby saying "ahhhh look who's sad.... look who's mad...etc". Grrrr!

I hope you and Brittany have a nice dinner and movie....:flower3:

I know you will think I'm being mean, but kids have to learn to handle these sorts of things. Moms will always protect their children, but it's part of growing up. I don't think there is one kid out there that has not had the same problem, believe me it will work it's way out.

Ashley: poor Ruby! Although I have to agree, she does seem a tad accident-prone. The blood thing is interesting, but gross! Glad she's ok and doesn't let it bother her.

Lesa: you have the best holiday graphics for your signature! Where do you get them all? Good job Madison on liking a boy who isn't... well, you know. I didn't learn that lesson until I was (how old am I now?). In fact I was just talking to my old friend last night, and we were saying that for someone with the self-esteem issues I had, I sure did date a lot of hot guys. Often dumb or underemployed, but good-looking. Boy have my priorities changed since then - thank goodness!! I don't think you can get a tent w/a bathroom attached, but I did see a 3-bedroom "cottage" tent at the WalMart yesterday. I was actually checking out the price until I remembered... I hate camping!!

Hi abaldacci! Stop by anytime.

Ashley- Poor Ruby! It is amazing that they can use her blood to help heal her! I hope she gets better and the cat doesn't scratch her anymore!

Lin- I am done with 7 if you want it.

Well SIL didn't come home today. Her IH (Idiot husband) got her to the airport with 15 mins to spare.:sad2: So she and the kids hopefully will be home on Saturday. (Lyzziesmom- I read your post on the internet expressions thread! :teeth:)

Now the door on Steven's truck squeeks when you open it! :faint:

Nicole, I'm gonna head over to half-price books and see what ones they have there, but thanks for the offer! I'll get these in the mail to you some time next week!

I don't watch Grey's Anatomy but everyone on the boards is all worked up over something...and now I'm curious about whats going on and it just might kill me!

Night all!

I feel alittle stupid and really guilty. :sad2:

Tonight after giving Ruby her second dose of antibiotics I spelled almost all of one of the syringes. It is pretty inexpensive (the medication was only $12 for two) but it makes me feel guilty because if she needs more now and she needs to get her blood taken again because I spilled it. I don't want to cause her any more pain. :sad2: :sad2:

I don't know what I was thinking. I'm just not used to using those syringe things. :confused3

Anyway, just wanted to vent because I feel bad, and its a waste of money and now I'll maybe have to pay for her blood to get drawn again too.

I have a whole other syringe left over, and she does have a check-up Saturday so I can tell the vet then. :sad2:

I just got an email from Maddie's brownie leader about a family camping night....in a tent!!!:scared1: We would have to bring our own tent!:rotfl2: Do they sell a tent with a bed and a bathroom already attached?:confused3 :lmao:

That would be the only way I would go!!!

Good Morning all!!

Good news for me...Blake came home last night. :cool1: He decided that the show they were at had gotten slow. It ended last night. So he figured he would head out and have the other guy pack up and he was going to the airport to see if he could change his flight. Luckily he could and was home around 10:banana: Sometimes it's good to be the boss:thumbsup2

Have a great day! TGIF!!

Good morning Crew!!! I think it's in the single digits this morning....I could hardly bring myself to look at the outdoor thermometer!!!
We need some of Yolanda's beach pictures this morning to warm us up!!
How about a light breakfast in the warm sunshine?? :sunny:

I hope you all have a Fun Friday!!!:dance3:

Hi, everyone!! I may have to make Michele the official fixer of breakfast.....I can't seem to be able to drag myself out of bed this week.

Michele:: Yay!!! Blake got to come home early!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

DznyFan:: Ym and I shared a Pressed Pot at the Kona Cafe. We decided it was "ok", but for 7.99 for 2 cups of coffee, it wasn't that good!!:snooty:

YourMajesty::Sorry you're having to deal with the bullies at school. Nathan has been coming home with little bruises on his chest......I saw them one day when I was getting his clothes out for school. He told me a kid had been trying to pinch his "chest parts" as you would say. I questioned him about who was doing it and right now I'm keeping an eye on him, hopefully no more bruises.

lyzziesmom:: The booger stories are hilarious!!! Sounds like you may getting paid back for some things you did when you were young.

Amber:: Be careful pulling out from that area where you live. Sounds like it could be dangerous no matter what the weather!!
I would love to collect snowglobes.....I had my eye on a couple when we were at the MK.princess:

Linda:: Thank goodness you had your five year old with you at the paper towel dispenser!!! What would you do without Master Kenny??!!:rotfl:
Good luck with the situation with your ex; I think you have everything under control!!:thumbsup2

Ashley:: I hope Ruby is doing ok now. I don't think I've ever heard of using blood as a healing property, that's really interesting!! She might need a Whopper, Jr. after this ordeal.:goodvibes

Lesa:: When is the Brownie camping event? Nathan and Gary go to one for Cub Scouts every June. Thank goodness I get to pass on the tent camping. I always laugh and tell them if there's not at least a Hilton nearby; I'm not going!!!:snooty:
How cute about Madison and the boy she likes!! Maybe she was tring to come up with the word "hot", but you replaced it with "cute"!!! Good mom.

Well, gotta run for today!!! Nathan has a dentist appt. at 3:30 and Gary is working from home today. I can't figure out whether to take him to work with me or come home to get him later?? Oh, well.....Have a great Friday !!!

Good Morning!

Ashley, poor Ruby! Leary had his eye scratched by a cat before and he ended up being fine. :wizard: that she gets better soon.

Lesa, camping?? I hate being in the wilderness (that being any place with no indoor plumbing and temperate control).

Well SIL didn't come home today. Her IH (Idiot husband) got her to the airport with 15 mins to spare.:sad2: So she and the kids hopefully will be home on Saturday. (Lyzziesmom- I read your post on the internet expressions thread! :teeth:)

Wow, people DO read my stuff!! Glad you liked it, feel free to use it any time. ;)

Ashley: Don't worry about the spilled syringe. My mom once dropped a syringe of some medication my brother was on - the stuff cost $1500.00 each (insurance wouldn't cover it) and it shattered all over the room!! That was about 5 years ago and she still beats herself up over it. I would too, that $$ could've been a Disney vacation!! I hope Ruby gets better soon, I'm sure she'll bounce back just fine.

Donna: Poor Nathan!! What is going on with all the bullies around here lately? I hope he decides to tell you what's going on - he's probably embarrassed about it. Paid back... yikes, I am definitely NOT looking forward to the girls' teenage years if payback starts this early!! I was a pretty good kid, but as all teens do, I did some supremely stupid things that I would DIE if my kids did!! Camping... my idea of roughing it is staying at a Holiday Inn. That's about as far from civilization as I'm willing to comfortably go. Or possibly a nicely-equipped Winnebago, as long as I don't have to drive or deal with the, y'know... tanks. Ew.

Happy Friday everyone!!

Yay for Friday! Today is the day my tax refund was scheduled for direct deposit. Next stop: bank website to check on it. I hope it's here... after all, I have to save money for my next vacation!!

Wow Amber, that's a LOT of snowglobes! They are all so pretty, I love how you have them all on the shelves, it almost looks like a display in a nice store.

I just checked and my tax refund came through today just like it was supposed to. Woohooo!!! Now if only airfare would go down, I'd be one seriously happy cliqueless chick.

Good morning everyone!

Well, were going up to Telluride for my DH's 40th birthday so i will be absent for a few days.

I'm with you all on the camping thing-- I don't like it and I don't do it. Just not my thing.

It looks like DH got the job! :cool1: They are flying us both out in 2 weeks to meet with them and discuss the final numbers. He is the only candidate they are looking at.

Well, gotta go finish packing. Have a great weekend everyone!
