Well, I am semi-connected to broadband again. DH by-passed the wireless router and connected straight to my laptop. I had to go down to the basement to do this. We ordered pizza.(There is one place in town that will deliver out here to the country!) We are just one big happy family down here Dising, watching TV, HO Racing and eating pizza!!

Hi everyone! I'm home.

It sure looks like I missed alot.

I had a great trip, with some twists thrown in. I'm pretty exhausted right now!!! I hope everyone had a great week. I missed you guys!!!! I can't wait until our Feburary trip. I of course will tell you more about my trip later, but my favorite restaurants (shockingly enough, even to myself) were Coral Reef and Nine Dragons. It's a long story why I even ate at Nine Dragons in the first place It wasn't in my ADR's until later in the week.

As for FQ: I didn't really like it that much. It didn't really have a 'Disney' feel to it, I can't really explain why or put my finger on it...I just know I liked Coronado Springs & Riverside much more. I took alot of pics, some with the digital and some with the 35mm, so I'll be posting some of those soon!!

I am glad to be home, I'm surprised to be saying that!...I thought I would be so upset to be home. I think 7 nights is the perfect night for us at Disney, just long enough.

One word though: LOVE BUGS (I guess thats two words, hehe ). Oh my gosh, I was so miserable this past week because of them. We constantly were SWARMED with them..It got better Thursday & today but they were driving me nuts. The workers said they only get them a couple weeks in September and February, so I sure hope our trip doesn't fall in those weeks!!!

I'm here Donna!! WELCOME BACK ASHLEY!!!!! Glad to hear you had a good time! Of course, even a "bad" time at Disney is still a good time. Sorry to hear you didn't like the hotel too much. I've always wanted to check it out - it just looks so nice.

I talked some more with my boss before going home. I told her that I updated my resume and put it out there. She said that's probably a good idea, and assured me that she is working hard to keep me. That doesn't really help me feel any better. I just hate the idea of starting all over someplace new. Not as much as I hate the idea of being unemployed though! I did see some good opportunities but I saw some real stinkers too. With any luck I won't have to worry about it, but even then I will always feel like my job is in jeopardy now. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes, you guys are the best.

I had trouble getting on the DIS last night so I feel so left in the dust. I can't imagine what it will be like when I am gone for a week +. People at work keep asking me, with a sarcastic tone, when I'm leaving to see Mickey. I just want to say yeah, thumbs up to you too.

My dr. appt. yesterday went exactly how I expected. I will start new meds when I get back. No choice, really.

OH YEAH, you would have noticed the lovebugs. They were EVERYWHERE. Especially in MGM and Animal Kingdom. It was really disgusting, they were getting in the bathrooms, were squashed everywhere, it was just gross. Actually, when we were on that ride in MGM where you go behind the scenes and see the props from the movies, there were literally hundreds of them everywhere, all over the seats, squashed and everything. I actually wouldn't do any outside shows or rides anymore after that!! They would get all over your clothes,

These pics are actually from our first room. One of the reasons I chose POFQ was because of the small size everyone was raving about. Well we were first assigned to building 7, which in my opinion was NOT close to anything. I just wasn't happy with it and I would have paid to have a preferred room, if they had one (They don't have 'preferred rooms' that you can reserve, according to my travel agent at least.) The room location was important because I knew that I would be dead tired at night and wanted a good location. I called the second we got in the room, but they said they didn't have any other rooms available at all, they were totally booked. (Actually, you guys remember my parents coming to surprise us, they booked a room at POFQ but it was so full when they checked in, they foudn out they were switched to Riverside.)

When Jeremiah and I left to go to Epcot for our Le Cellier ADR, I said, "Lets just stop in the lobby really fast and see if anything became available". A room did become available and they gave it to us, that was in building 1. Of course when I heard that I thought it was the one RIGHT by the food court and pool and got super excited, and took it- it was ALL the way on the other said of the resort, almost equal distance that building 7 was. It WAS however very close to the boat dock, that takes you to Downtown Disney. Besides that, everything I got in the food court was just gross.

Some days mousekeeping was very good, a couple days they were just very sloppy. But on the good days, I could tell it was the same person and they arranged our stuffed animals very cute (Guffles is the bunny, I've had him since I was a baby!! And we got Donald at Downtown Disney, very comfy to sleep with!!!)

Ashley, I love your pictures that you posted! You are a fast learner, aren't you??!? That's too cute with the stuffed animals. At POP all we got were towels. Not towel animals, mind you, just lots and lots of towels. It was very weird - every night we would come back and we had more towels.

Sounds like you have pretty strong feelings against POFQ. I hope it didn't ruin your special honeymoon trip. I take it you would not be overly thrilled to stay ther in February? Are we going to have to take a poll. I was really hoping for good things from this resort.

I think I came up with the feeling...was it no Disney Pizazz? Is that the word. Just that special touch that Disney has that just kind of blows you away and makes you feel all warm and happy inside. Is that what was missing?

Oh, Linda - he'd LOVE OKW. It can be kinda pricey, though, for non-DVCers - at least for the one-bedroom. It is laid back, tropical, and quiet! The bus service isn't too bad, really (I've seen some folks really complain about it, but the same can be said for any of the other resorts as well). It is VERY homey feeling...

I bet we both would!!! April was his first trip to wdw EVER and of coarse he knows just how disney I am.... he mentioned checking into DVC I checked into it right after my divorce but the timing just wasn't right... I have rental property...so I automatically think...rentals in the wdw area ... but I'd want to manage them myself...so maybe someday!!

lyzziesmom...sometimes what looks bad can be a blessing in disguise it will work out!! You might find something much better and wish you'd looked sooner!! Good luck and keep your chin up. we're here for you!

Ashley...can't wait to hear about your trip..and see pix...but not too many honeymoon details k you did go to the parks right??

Hi 2x, Donna, Jill , Ym, Lesa, April, Michele, Kim..and anyone else I'm forgetting

so glad this week is over!!! Monday was the root canal, Tues I had a hearing at the child support since my x is trying to get out of paying !!! we'll have to take him to court so that atty fee is $600!! Kennys soccer practice. Wed typical stuff..Thurs back to dentist and on phone w/atty a lot getting her details for court and Kenny soccer game !! and then today...finally...Friday. I don't mind being busy but this week was just crazy. Tomorrow Kenny has a soccer game but it's supposed to be like 48 and rainy... yuck!! But I'm "snack mom" so I'm taking boxes of soft batch cookies and squeeze it's the kids love that stuff!!

Hey 2x when are you going to see Mickey? we'll join you yes...tell them next time I don't have to worry about that b/c my boss goes more often than me!!! His wife is a ta and they go 2-3 x's a year easily. Her aunt lives near Cocoa Beach. Ahhh that would be nice!!
