:bored: Kenny's put to bed for the evening so I had to sneak back to the dis... Can you handle yet another Kenny story???

Well, he and Mike were outside and I was eating my pizza at the kitchen table w/the french doors open. Mike was getting the hose to put some more water in the hot tub. Kenny asks if we can go in it tonight and Mike tells him no b/c it might be too cool... he asks him if he's putting cold water in the hot tub... yeah... the hose isn't warm :teeth: then Kenny jumps up so serious and says "NO...you can't mix hot and cold!!! You'll make a tornado" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: he remembers me explaining how a tornado is formed when the warm fronts and cold fronts collide... yada yada... from when we had a tornado warning a few weeks ago... omg...that was so funny... I told him it doesn't work that way w/water... then he just looks and says "OH" hehehe omg. he kills me! I just had to share that. No tornadoes;)

Linda, that is so funny about Kenny! Don't you just love it when they think they've got it all figured out??

Linda.... :lmao: You need to write that one down. I've noticed that Kenny seems to have good sleeping habits. What is his bed time? My kids are rarely alseep before 9:30...even if we put them to bed at 8:30. Plus, they both gave up naps by the age of three:teeth: :confused3 I think you've mentioned a couple of times about Kenny taking his nap and I'm sitting here :rolleyes1 no way can this kid be so good (still takes naps for his mom) :yay: :cloud9: :dance3:

Pozey...too funny about Red Robins. We've had very slow service there too. I do like the burgers a :Pinkbounc Our Logan's Steakhouse just opened...does anyone like it? I've never been to one.

Ashley....what a sweet cake. Did Ruby get any one the carpet. :confused3

Oh Linda....you might consider the extra large bags of dark chocolate m&ms :teeth: ....they were a hit at our house. :cheer2:

YM...Nope, Ruby didn't get any on the carpet!! Like she'd even waste some, she's such a little piggy!! :teeth:

We have a Logan's right down the street from us..they have good food!! They have really yummy rolls that they serve while you are waiting for your food and I've tried all kinds of things there- chicken sandwiches, french dip sandwich (my favorite), steaks and chicken fingers, everything has been excellent!!

ETA: It's funny you guys are talking about Red Robin..I have a story about there. When I was little my whole family was eating there for somebody's birthday. Well, the Red Robin came out, in his costume and started visiting everyone's table. Ofcourse I started freaking out- I actually went under the table and refused to come back up. My mom has to feed me my chicken tenders under the table!

Jeremiah & I found one up here (I didn't even know they were still open, they didn't have any in our area in Florida) and we went to eat there. Ofcourse Red Robin didn't come out but they have a HUGE statue of him and Jeremiah teases me about it!!

Ashley...too funny about Ruby. I was looking at that picture with big rose thinking...I hope she did get it on the carpet. :teeth: My boys have been asking to go to Logan's...they heard they have peanuts...is that true? Maybe we will give it a try this week. :thumbsup2

Hey guys,

Just a quick hello, then I must be off to bed. I had a trying day today. I got up extra early to get some things done. BTW, yesterday, I drove the scenic route all over St. Louis to find a handbag that I NEEDED for the trip----ended up at four (4) different Targets and still didn't find it. I was mad at myself because it was a toss up between two and I needed to "think" about which one I wanted. So, I didn't get either one and then kind of forgot about it until yesterday. By the fourth Target I was a bit frantic and called my sister to check in her area. Anyway, between my mom and my sister, I got both and will once again try to decided which one I prefer.

Back to my trying day TODAY---- I was doing laundry and went downstairs to switch the loads. Backstory----my basement and I are not the best of friends---in fact, I pretty much loathe it. So, I cautiously creep down the stairs, watching for monsters :teeth: and I hear a funny noise. I can tell it is coming from the hot water heater. Then I see the huge puddle of water. Guess what's next-------a phone call-------to my mom???? I have no idea why either. I hang up with her and start looking through the yellow pages. My dad calls-----he tries to walk me through turning off the gas, water, etc. He forgets who he is talking to. There are so many knobs and valves. Am I gonna blow something up?? Finally, I tell him I am calling someone. Water is pouring out of this thing. The plumber finally comes about an hour later, replaces a valve in 15 minutes, charges me my arm and my leg and leaves--------me with a basement full of water. YAY FOR ME. My half empty glass says why me?? My half full glass says good thing now than in a couple of days when I am not here.
I am able to quickly shower for work and off I went. Anybody know where I can buy some time??

Anyway, I'm whooped, yes I said this---whooped. :teeth:

Hope all is well with everyone!!!! And you birthday people had wonderful days.

Lin----prayers for your dear hubby!!!!!!!

Angela--good luck tomorrow!!!

I'll try to check in tomorrow or thursday.

Good night.

p.s. Ash---as I was quickly scrolling through posts, Ruby made me laugh with her pink polka dots. She looks like a pink dalmation. :teeth:

Ashley, that's so funny about THE Red Robin! We just saw him a couple weeks ago at the one by our house - Emma wanted to kiss him. There used to be one in Coral Springs in FL about 12 years ago but it was in a bad location (not a bad neighborhood, just that every restaurant in that building closed in less than 2 years) and it closed down. That was too bad, because most of my friends worked there and I got to eat there for free a lot!

2x - 4 days. FOUR DAYS!!! How did that happen?

That's too bad about your basement. I have not ventured into mine in my new house, and it's not even that spooky, as far as basements go. I figure, if I don't HAVE to go in there, why risk it? 'Piders live in there! But like you said... better now than in, oh say... FOUR DAYS!!

PS - I also call my mom when anything happens. You'd think I'd know better by now, but it must be instinct.

Last time I was there they not only had peanuts, but you were encouraged to throw the shells on the floor. It was a lot of fun but there aren't any Logan's where I live now. :guilty:

Oh man, I love throwing the shells on the floor! I've never heard of Logan's, but in FL we had Roadhouse Grill where you could do that. Don't have those here. The peanut bucket at Lone Star on Sunday had a label on it that said something to the effect of "Peanuts have been brought back by popular demand. Due to health code regulations, if you throw peanut shells on the floor, we will no longer be able to serve peanuts. Please dispose of peanut shells in the buckets provided." I found that to be a bit tacky. They could just as easily give you a bucket marked "Nuts" and another bucket marked "Shells."

YM- Yep, they have peanuts that you just throw on the floor. That part kind of grosses me out. :crazy2:

Lyzziesmom, I used to eat at Roadhouse Grill when I lived in Florida..There was one right down the street from my house in Davie.

2xcited..I'm so sorry about your water heater. Oh, I know about those! I think I've told the story before, but last December ours "blew up" (words of our maintence man) and it flooded our entire apartment. It's good it happened while you were in town though, and not on your Disney trip!! You must be getting so excited about that. Oh, those spots are actually sheep on Ruby's PJ's :) I guess you can't tell what they are in the picture! ETA: You can tell a little better in this one:

Logans....I'm drooling, they have the BEST fillet and bread, and salad, and potatoes...

Since Chris is going through a lot right now, and tomorrow (today) is my day off I'm taking the dogs and a picnic and meeting him for lunch. So excited! Might even get to the gym.

Ashley, I loved the cake on your puppies face! Mine are piggies too!

Night lovies!

Oh I love Logans. That is where we will be going next month for my birthday dinner. Tonight it is Outback for Matt's

My baby is 15 today!! He has to be at school at 6:45 for study table with the football team, so we all had to get up early so he could open his presents before school. Said he wouldn't be able to concentrate if we waited til after practice. ;)

Have a great day everyone!!

I decided our healthy breakfast yesterday was about all I could stand!!! My Birthday Cake Hangover has subsided, now it's back to the goodies!!! :thumbsup2
How about a French Cruller???

That was much better than cereal!! :teeth:

Have a WACKY Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!

Now I need to catch up!! I tried to post last night, but kept getting interrupted!! I finally just gave up!! :sad2:

Linda:: That's so cute about Kenny and the tornado!! Who would want a tornado in their hot tub!!! It seems that we confuse our young ones sometimes with the things that they learn, then to find out that there are exceptions!!! :) btw, I tried to get my jumping pumpkin to work. I didn't try Photobucket, will have to go downstairs and give it a try sometime!!

Ashley::I forgot to tell you how adorable Ruby looks in her Lamby PJ's!! That pink icing on her face is just too much!!! pug: :dogdance:
btw...I did get my Little Mermaid dvd on Monday night before we went out to eat.

2xcited2slp:: Wow, sorry to hear about your basement and your hot water heater!! I'm glad you got somebody to fix it though!!
Just 2 more days and you will be on your way to WDW!!! :woohoo: You've had this vacation planned, well since I've known you!!! I hope you and your family have the best time ever!! :goodvibes

YourMajesty:: You night owly!!! Just had to say "HI" to you!! I can't seem to get Nathan to bed very early either. He went to work with me yesterday because he had a dentist appt. at 11am and school let out at 2pm, so I just kept him out of school. He also had a "throw-up" incident about 2:30am that morning. He came in to wake me up after the fact and already had his t-shirt off and everything, bless his heart. He told me he made it to the bathroom ok, but got a little bit on the bathroom rug. No biggy at all, I felt so bad for him. When I looked to turn out the bathroom light, I noticed where he had.....NOT made it to the toilet and my wall by the light switch is going to have to be painted!! YEECH!!!!! Sorry if this was TMI, but as a mom to boys just thought you would appreciate the story!!! :teeth: :teeth:

Michele::Tell Matt I said :bday: !!!!!!!!!!!!! Just think, next year he gets his drivers' license!!!! :thumbsup2

lyzziesmom:: I hope your back gets to feeling better. If you read this before you go to work...Don't forget your pain medicatiion!!!!!!

The other night when I was on the computer and of course on the Cliqueless thread, Nathan told me that when I went on my trip to please get a picture of everybody because he wanted to see what they looked like!! How sweet is that!! :lovestruc I did show him Linda and Kenny, but I think he's looked over my shoulder so much when I'm dising that he already KNEW them!!!! :rotfl2:
Not to mention that he's acquainted with Lyzzie and Ruby, too.

Well I must say your Dark Chocolate M&M's are safe with me. I've got to have the milk chocolate. DH likes dark chocolate, however.

I took Nathan to the dentist yesterday and the Dr. recommended that we get him to an orthodontist ASAP. His top teeth fit slighty behind his bottom teeth. I feel so awful that I never really noticed this before. I feel like such a bad mom right now. Nathan is pretty upset and keeps telling DH and myself that he is sorry, like it's his fault. So, I guess we will be doing braces for him really soon.

Sorry for the long post today guys, hope you all have a super day!!!

Good Morning All

Donna, I had an under bite when I was little. Mine was very pronunced. I had to get braces (twice  ). They did want to break my jaw and reset it, but I opted against it (I watched the surgery on TV and they lifted the girl's face off. It was the grossest thing EVER :crazy2: ). I did get clear braces the second time (I was in jr high and high school, so I didn't want them to be noticable). They are more expensive, so they only do the teeth that will show most often (top front). Hardly anyone even knew I had braces.

Ashley, Ruby is just a doll.

Linda, Kenny is hysterical. Kids crack me up.

I watched Fox and the Hound last night. I had never seen it. I cried and cried. Why do they have to make movies that sad?? :guilty: I am hoping that the 2nd one won't be as sad.

My youngest son just climbed into bed with me and saw the picture of Ruby. He smiled and said can dogs really look like that? :lmao: He wants to know how you get them on? :rotfl2: I'm going to go back and show him the cake. :cool1:

ETA...my DS wanted to know where Ruby's head was :confused3 I'm like...she's eating the cake..... OHHHHH..he said :rotfl:
