IT'S RAINING IN TEXAS TODAY! It is soooo nice to see rain!

Thanks for all the prayers and hugs. I will keep you guys posted!

I got new glasses this summer and couldn't believe what they cost! I had to go with a pricey pair that included magnetic clip on sunglasses because of the crazy Texas sun. The lady told me I could get some within my insurance frame allowance and get custom clip ons made, I asked her how much the custom clips cost and she said they start at 250.00! I thought, why would I buy the cheap ones and pay 250 for sunglasses when I can get glasses that already had clip ons for 185.00. Why do they charge us so much for things that we absolutely need?!

Here is a nice mid-morning snack!

As much as I love chocolate.......and M&Ms especially........I am not a big fan of dark chocolate. Don't know why......just prefer milk chocolate. :confused3

But thanks anyway!!

Well, I looked out the window, and it appears that we are getting just a little bit of rain. :cool1: We need rain really bad here. I think it is barely sprinkling, but any little bit of precipitation helps!

Los Cabos? It is right next to the Bass Pro Shops store just off the BA Expressway and 161st Street. Right on the lake they made. There is also a Lone Star Steakhouse that looks to be very close to opening as well.

I have yet to see ANY rain today. Not a drop! I am ready for a little rain.

Los Cabos....yes....I started typing and forgot the name. :teeth: I guess we don't get out much. Have you guys been to the Melting Pot...it sure sounds yummy.

Linda...so the jumping Mickey was what went in the the red x box. :badpc:

Ok...I'm going to eat a tiny bit of something nutritious so I can break into my dark m&ms without going into a diabetic coma. I'll be back and let you guys know what I think...it's my first bag. Pozey, I think dark chocolate is an acquired taste...so you never know...someday.... :smooth:

Melting Pot is soooo yummy, and sooooo expensive. But its worth it for a special treat once a year or so, or when the inlaws are buying! :rotfl:

You can go for just dessert though, and thats pretty affordable.

Southwest just sent me a ding for travel through march!

Round trip from Chicago to Orlando $200.

I have heat! :cool1: :woohoo: I had the furnace guy out today and it was the gas valve (just what I told dh it was :rolleyes1 ). It was $200 but that is better than having to replace the whole furnace! :dance3: So now my buns will be nice and toasty! :sunny:

I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday! :wave2:

I have heard very good things about the Melting Pot. DW and I were going to go there for our anniversary last year. But she nixed the idea. She really didn't like the idea of a 2 hour dinner. We (she) decided to go to Flavors instead.

I had no idea they had dark chocolate M&M's!!! :Pinkbounc

I love dark chocolate; I'm not a big fan of milk chocolate. I love the Hershey's special dark bar, it is so good!

I haven't eaten all day and all I can think about is getting a pumpkin pie blizzard and now M&M's.

Hi everyone :wave2:

Donna, I hope you had a nice birthday!!!

DznyFan, November 1 is Jeremiah and my 'dating' anniversary (when we got together in the first place.) We wanted to also get married that day but it didn't work out so we got married December 9, but I told him I still want to celebrate the November 1 one! (Why wouldn't I, I get more presents that way.) :teeth:

I don't like Dark Chocolate, either, I like Milk. It's funny, Jeremiah's boss went to Switzerland and brought me back some chocolate and I was so excited, until I realized it was dark. :guilty:

I love the Melting Pot!!! YUM. But it is expensive. I've only been to one in Florida, I wonder if they have them up here. ???

I used to go to the Melting Pot for dessert all the time... until the one I went to in FL burned down. They rebuilt, but since the whole place was made of wood it just kind of scared me off. However it was so very good, I was just thinking about it the other day!! I would get white chocolate with amaretto. Mmmmmmmmmmm..... I can't really appreciate it for dinner though, because the whole pay-a-zillion-bucks-to-cook-your-own-dinner thing doesn't fly well with my wallet, and then of course there are my issues with raw meat. I don't want to see it until it has been magically transformed into dinner. Before that, it is just roadkill.

Someone mentioned Lone Star a little while ago... we went there for my birthday dinner on Sunday, but after 15 minutes we still had not seen our server. Another server came over and took our drink orders and then someone plunked down half of our drinks 8 minutes later without saying a word, just our waters and Emma's milk. We got fed up so my dad left $1 on the table for the milk and we left. There is a restaurant literally on every corner in this town, and the place was not even 1/4 full, there is just no excuse for that. We ended up down the street at Longhorn and it was delicious, with much better service. However they did accidentally bring us TWO highchairs, which highly offended Lyzzie and very much amused the rest of us!

I hate buying new glasses, I agree that they are way to expensive for something that is a necessity! I had to get some last year because mine were almost 10 years old and I could barely see out of them. I have horrible vision and usually wear my contacts but switching at night was giving me headaches something awful. The lady at Target's vision center tried to tell me I could get either/or, but she was wrong and she was totally snotty about it. I ended up getting an ok deal on my glasses, I think I spent about $140 instead of like $400 and they are actually pretty cute, but geez! I got my contacts at the eye doctor the following week and they were actually less money.

I did a stupid thing today... I left my pain meds at home. I forgot I switched my pill case to the diaper bag and left them in there, so I had to run home at lunchtime to get them because YOW am I sore today. Good thing I went home, because my new checks came (yay! they are adorable Mickey checks!) and the postman left the check box hanging out of my mail slot for anyone to see and potentially grab. Duh!

:sad1: you guys aren't gonna believe this... it's just so depressing

ALL my dark chocolate M&M's are GONE!!! :sad2:

I just uploaded pics from my birthday so I thought I'd share!

Linda, how awful! I'm feelin' your pain, sister.

Ashley, Ruby is too adorable with the pink on her face and that expression, like she's saying "What??" I have the same Mickey plates at home, we use them all the time!!
